ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the construction mode and innovative operation mode conducive to the sustainable development of nursing studio, and evaluate the practical effect of "named nursing studio".Methods:On the basis of carrying out outpatient specialized nursing service in Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, through further refining diagnosis and treatment service, optimizing treatment process, strengthening personnel training and promoting discipline development, a nursing studio named after nursing experts was formed, quality control standards and long-term follow-up were established, and a complete named nursing studio operation system was established. The number of nursing clinic patients before and after "named nursing studio" (January to December 2018 and January to December 2019) were counted. The data of patients before and after "named nursing studio", the patient′s satisfaction and other indicators after "named nursing studio" were compared.Results:The number of nursing clinic patients was 1 332 before "named nursing studio" and 1 346 after "named nursing studio". After "named nursing studio", re appointment increased from 63.59% (847/1 332) to 70.51% (949/1 346), and the proportion of patients referred by doctors increased from 10.66% (142/1 332) to 12.93% (174/1 346); the total satisfaction of patients reached 96.97% (993/1 024), forming a trinity of nursing, teaching and scientific research development model of nursing.Conclusions:The development of "named nursing studio" promotes the specialty nursing discipline characteristic and the specialty of nursing service brand construction. It is beneficial to solve the problem of difficulty of outpatient and inpatient care, meets the needs of nursing staff career development, reflectes the value of nurse staff, promotes the development of nursing science.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the present situation of lymphedema clinics in 60 hospitals and provide reference for the management and development of lymphedema nursing clinic.Methods:Convenience sampling method was used to select 60 hospitals that had set up lymphedema nursing outpatient service. A self-designed questionnaire was conducted for the heads of lymphedema nursing clinics from June 10th 2021 to August 15th, 2021 using electronic questionnaires.Results:Lymphedema clinics had been opened since 2015 and developed rapidly in recent years. The outpatient service mainly took the form of specialized outpatient service for lymphedema, accounted for 61.67%(37/60), and also existed in the form of combined breast rehabilitation, ostomy, catheter maintenance, etc. There was a great difference in the frequency of outpatient service in hospitals, 46.67%(28/60) had outpatient service every day, 36.67% (22/60) had outpatient service only half a day every week. The number of outpatient patients was relatively low, 61.67%(37/60) of the hospitals had no more than 10 patients per week, and only 8.33% (5/60) had more than 50 patients per week. There were only 26 full-time nurses accounted for 14.94%(26/174), and the international lymphedema therapist certification rate was 36.21% (63/174). Training institutions included foreign introduced training programs, domestic and foreign cooperation programs, overseas training and local training, etc. 100.00% (60/60) of the hospitals participating in the survey adopted comprehensive detumescence therapy, combined with auxiliary motor muscle energy binding technology 51.67% (31/60), air wave pressure therapy 48.33% (29/60), traditional Chinese medicine therapy 16.67% (10/60), etc. According to the survey of charging situation, only 14 hospitals accounted for 23.33%(14/60) had special charging, among which 12 hospitals accounted for 20.00%(12/60) had official charging approval.Conclusions:Lymphedema clinics have been developed and the ranks of lymphedema therapists are growing. The relevant departments should strengthen the standard management of lymphedema clinic, clarify the qualifications of visiting personnel, establish the standard of outpatient fees, promote the sustainable development of lymphedema clinic, and finally improve the quality of life of patients with lymphedema.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To clarify administrators' awareness of outpatient cancer nursing clinics.Methods: We conducted semi-structured interviews of six administrators overseeing outpatient cancer nursing clinics and performed a qualitative, inductive analysis.Results and discussion: In this study, interviews with the administrators led to the identification of ten categories for outpatient cancer nursing clinics such as [the nurses' role in easing the concerns and worries of patients with cancer and their families], [challenges in training and securing outpatient cancer nursing clinic personnel], and [the influence of the passion and confidence of nurses on practice in outpatient cancer nursing clinics]. These interviews revealed that, in practice, outpatient cancer nursing is a useful skill for elucidating the real needs of patients and supporting their decision-making. Coordinated efforts and collaboration among human resources/disciplines may affect day-to-day outpatient cancer nursing clinics.Conclusion: This study revealed that the development of assessment indices to substantiate the accomplishment of outpatient cancer nursing clinics and the training of personnel with a high level of practical skills are two challenges for the expansion of outpatient cancer nursing clinics.

ABSTRACT

En este artículo se relatará la experiencia profesional en torno a la Clínica de Lactancia en modalidad visita domiciliaria, cuyo propósito es brindar apoyo y acompañamiento a la familia para el inicio, mantención y recuperación de la lactancia, como una estrategia de intervención integral de enfermería. La lactancia materna es una de las mejores inversiones en salud para las personas, sus beneficios y duración en manera exclusiva hasta los 6 meses y luego complementada hasta los 24 meses o hasta que lo deseen, ha sido respaldado por múltiples asociaciones científicas nacionales e internacionales. La clínica de lactancia domiciliaria permite realizar intervenciones de salud en el contexto de la vida cotidiana de las personas, realizar una valoración individual, del binomio y de la familia, considerando aspectos de la salud física, psicológica, afectiva, social y contextual que pudieran estar influyendo en el fenómeno de la lactancia. Parte del éxito de una clínica de lactancia domiciliaria, está en el lazo terapéutico de confianza que se pueda formar entre la enfermera(o) consultora en lactancia y la familia, pero especialmente con la madre, quien que se encuentra en un proceso de adaptación a su nuevo rol. Desde nuestra experiencia profesional como enfermeras, podemos contribuir al cuerpo de conocimientos propios de la disciplina en lo relacionado a los cuidados de la madre y su hijo(a) en periodo de amamantamiento.


This article describes the experience of nurses delivering Nursing Clinics within a home visit modality. The purpose of this service is to provide support and company to the newborn's family for the initiation, maintenance and recovery of breastfeeding, as a comprehensive nursing intervention. Breastfeeding is one of the best investmentsin health for people. Its benefits for the newborn and the mother have been supported by multiple national and international scientific associations, which have highlighted its exclusivity up to six months of age and then its continuation as complementary of solids up to 24 months of age. Nursing clinics at home allow for situated health interventions according to people's everyday lives; for carrying out individual, binomial and family assessments, considering aspects of physical, psychological, emotional, social and contextual health that may impact upon the experience of breastfeeding. Part of the success of a nursing clinicat home, relies upon the therapeutic relationship of trust and rapport that can be developed between the nurse (or consultant in breastfeeding) and the family, but especially upon the one developed with the mother, who is in a process of adaptation to her new role. From our professional experience as nurses, we can contribute to the body of knowledge of the discipline in relation to the care of the mother and her child during breastfeeding.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the current status of nursing clinics in China in the past decades in order to provide reference for the development of nursing clinics and advanced nursing practice in the future. Methods Analyzing articles published from 2007 to 2016 from China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Chinese VIP periodical service platform,Wanfang databases by using the bibliometrics and content analysis. Results A total of 184 articles were found by using the key words of"nursing clinic"or"nurse clinic".The increasing trend was obvious after 2013.83.2%(153/184)of the articles describes the nursing clinics were conducted in the hospital.78.3%(144/184)of nursing clinics provided education, guidance and counseling for the clients.87.5%(161/184)of the articles clearly describes the competence of the nurses in the nursing clinics.The majority of the articles reported using non-experimental design. The top subject of nursing clinics research was chronic diseases (54.5%, 85/184), in which diabetes accounts for 70.6%(70/85). Conclusions An increasing trend of development of nursing clinics in China.The urgent need for the development of nursing clinic in primary medical institutions.More kinds of service should be provided for the clients, not only health education, guidance and counseling. To expand the research field of nursing clinics is needed.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the current working situation of specialist nurses in China via questionnaire survey among 873 specialist nurses.Methods Eight hundred and seventy-three specialist nurses in 474 hospitals in 30 provinces(cities or autonomous regions) in China were investigated using a self-designed questionnaire on SO JUMP platform.Results One hundred and ninety-seven (22.6%) specialist nurses worked on nursing management positions.One hundred and fifty (17.2%) specialist nurses worked in other places besides their own wards,121 (13.9%) undertook nursing consultation work,58 (6.6%) worked in specialist nursing outpatient clinics,and 528 (60.5%) worked as clinical part-time teachers.One hundred and seventy(19.5%) specialist nurses undertook scientific research tasks,and 129(14.8%) published papers after attending the training courses.Conclusion Specialist nurse position is paying increasing attention to clinical practice;the working sites have been expanded,the working contents have been richened,and specialist working capacity has been improved.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect of extracurricular activities based on specialist nursing clinic. Methods Thirty-four undergraduate nursing students of grade 2013 in the Capital Medical University were enrolled in the study. After learning of nursing theories for senile dementia, the extracurricular activities based onspecialist nursing clinicwere carried out. Before and after the second class activities, the caring ability inventory scale and self scale-rating for self-directed learning (SRSSDL) were used to assess 34 students. Result After the activities, students' caring ability and self-directed learning ability were statistically significantly improved (P<0.01). Conclusion The extracurricular activities based onspecialist nursing cliniccan stimulate the learning interest of nursing students and improve their self-directed learning ability and humanistic care ability.

ABSTRACT

In order to promote rehabilitation exercises for breast cancer patients and to improve their quality of life,as well as to promote the development of nursing profession, our hospital has estab-lished a specialistnursing clinic for breast cancer since January 2016. We standardized nurses' qualification and training requirements, and performed management in patients'symptom assessment, nursingtechniqueguidance for breast cancer, sleep guidance, health education, long-term follow up, etc. After one year of implementation, symptom assessment was conducted 1283 times, rehabilitationexerciseguidance was 329 times, lymphatic drainage guidance was 297 times, sleep guidance was 159 times, health education was 591 times, sexual life with spouse guidance was 107 times, in-hospital nursing consultation was 48 times, family on-site demonstration was 29 times. The satis-faction rate was 98.4% which was higher than average level of the hospital according to outpatient investigation.

ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the influence of establishment of special nursing clinic on medical compliance behavior of diabetic patients. Methods We randomly selected outpatients from the endocrine department and special nursing clinic as the control group and the observation group with 100 cases in each group respectively. The condition of medical compliance behavior and blood glucose control was observed and compared in the two groups. Results The patients visiting special nursing clinic were better in medical compliance behavior and blood glucose control. Conclusions Establishment of special nursing clinic for diabetic outpatients can improve the medical compliance behavior, satisfying the requirement for disease knowledge, enhance the shaping of healthy behavior and facilitate the control of disease progress.
