ABSTRACT

@#<b>Objective</b> To investigate radiation resources in medical diagnosis and treatment and their use frequency in medical institutions in Hangzhou, China, and to provide a basis for relevant departments to rationally allocate and scientifically supervise the resources. <b>Methods</b> From April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020, a survey was conducted on the basic information, radiation staff, equipment configuration, and frequency of radiation diagnosis and treatment of all medical institutions in Hangzhou using a questionnaire. <b>Results</b> There were 1001 institutions with radiation services in Hangzhou, with 6714 radiation staff members and 2742 pieces of radiation equipment. The frequency of conventional X-ray diagnosis was 788.43 per 1000 population. The frequency of computed tomography diagnosis was 531.93 per 1000 population. The frequency of mammography and dental photography diagnosis was 246.34 per 1000 population. The frequency of interventional diagnosis and treatment was 10.01 per 1000 population. The frequency of radiotherapy was 2.39 per 1000 population. The frequency of nuclear medicine diagnosis was 8.90 per 1000 population. The frequency of nuclear medicine treatment was 0.99 per 1000 population. <b>Conclusion</b> Medical institutions have developed rapidly in Hangzhou, but with an unbalanced situation. In order to better protect the health of examinees, we recommend relevant departments optimize resource allocation and strengthen supervision on radiation protection in medical institutions.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the status of radiological protection in Baoji City. Methods Using the questionnaire survey method, the survey forms were sent to the radiology clinics and other relevant units in the counties and districts of the city to investigate the basic situation of radiology and treatment of medical and health institutions, basic information of radiology and treatment equipment, personal information of radiation workers, and health monitoring of radiation workers. Results There is 1.13 X-ray diagnostic equipment per 10, 000 people, 0.015 radiotherapy equipment per 10, 000 people in Baoji City, and One million people own 11.4 CTs. There are 1, 102 radiation workers in Baoji City, and 2.92 per 10, 000 people. The occupational health check rate of medical radiation personnel was 87.7% within 2 years, the personal dose monitoring rate was 90.4%, the radiation worker training rate was 73.6% within 2 years, about the holding rate of "Radiation Staff Certificate" in Baoji City was 73.0%, and the occupational health file rate was 89.2%. The evaluation indexes of various health monitoring were lower, especially in township hospitals (35.7%~50.8%). Conclusion On the whole, the number of radiological diagnosis and treatment equipment is small, and Class A large equipment is almost blank. The city is stronger than the county in health monitoring. The status of health monitoring is very different from urban to rural areas.

ABSTRACT

Objective To assessment the effect of low dose ionizing radiation on liver function .Methods According to predefined inclusion , exclusion criteria , the relevant literatures were reviewed and qualified literatures were evalu -ated.Based on total number of liver function examination , number of abnormal liver function in radiation group and control group , the OR as the effect size , then choose an appropriate model by the heterogeneity test for the analysis . Results The combined OR is 1.59, 95%CI 1.25-2.02.Conclusions Long term exposure to low dose-ionizing radi-ation has significant outcome shown by higher rate of liver function abnormality .
