ABSTRACT
Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of fat suction combined with bipolar radiofrequency on face and neck rejuvenation.Methods:A total of 115 patients with face and neck fat deposits and skin laxity underwent fat suction combined with bipolar radiofrequency between December 2021 and October 2022 by the same surgeon in Changsha My Like Medical Cosmetology Hospital. There were 3 men and 112 women in this research. The mean age was 36.1 years (range, 26-55 years) and the mean body mass index was 21.4 (range, 16.8-27.7 kg/cm 2). Postoperative patient satisfaction surveys were conducted and 2 independent doctors evaluated clinical effect with preoperative and postoperative photographs at 3-6 months postoperatively. Results:The mean amount of fat aspirated was 44.5 ml (range, 10-92 ml) and the mean energy delivered was 4.5 kJ (range, 2.1-8.9 ml). 88.7% of patients were satisfied with their postoperative effect (102/115 patients). 92.2% of doctors were satisfied with the postoperative effect (106/115 patients). Four out of 115 patients (3.5%) developed irregularity by fat suction.Conclusions:Fat suction combined with bipolar radiofrequency can effectively reduce the fat accumulation of facial and neck and significantly improve skin relaxation. It is an effective method to rejuvenate facial and neck.

BACKGROUND: Upper eyelid aging results from comprehensive changes, and studies have failed to comprehensively address these changes. OBJECTIVES: This study proposes a comprehensive approach to the surgical treatment of aging upper eyelids. METHODS: Data of 116 patients with aging upper eyelids were analyzed. Each eye was scored on upper eyelid laxity, degree of blepharoptosis, and upper eyelid socket depression at preoperation and 6 months after surgery. Based on average scores of both eyes, three degrees of aging were considered: mild, moderate, and severe. All patients underwent comprehensive surgical treatments. Depending on its condition, loose skin was appropriately removed, and the levator palpebrae superioris (LPS) was corrected in patients with degenerative ptosis. Meanwhile orbital septum fat was released or periumbilical fat mass was used as a filler to correct upper eyelid socket depression. All cases were summarized based on a classification and grading system. Scores were reassessed, and satisfaction survey was conducted after 6 months follow-up. RESULTS: The preoperative and postoperative scores of the three groups were significantly different (p < 0.05), and the difference in preoperative and postoperative scores between the three groups was also statistically significant (p < 0.05). The severe aging group had the greatest difference in score. Aside from 8 patients requiring reoperation, patients reported satisfied results after the 6 month follow-up. CONCLUSIONS: Comprehensive surgical treatment for patients with different grades of upper eyelid aging can achieve a satisfactory effect of upper eyelid rejuvenation. Objective@#To evaluate the therapeutic effect of choosing different surgical incisions in eyebrow lifting.@*Methods@#This research recruited 87 female who underwent eyebrow lifting in our hospital from January 2015 to December 2017, with the mean age of 52.4 years ranging from 25 to 71 years. According to the degree of the upper eyelid soft tissue laxity the level of eyebrow drooping and cosmetic patients personal requirements, we performed different surgical incisions respectively. Therefore, there were 39 cases upper-eyebrow incision, 31 cases under-eyebrow incision and 17 cases combined with upper and lower eyebrow incision.@*Results@#87 women who had undergone the 3 months to 4 years follow-up (average period, 6.3-month), are pleased with their eyebrow and rejuvenation after eyebrow lifting, with 90.8% (79 of 87) satisfaction, 6.9% (6 of 87) satisfaction basically and 2.3% (2 of 87) dissatisfaction. And only 2 patients had secondary surgery for unacceptable brow shape.@*Conclusions@#By choosing different eyebrow incisions and removing skin around the eyebrow, there were efficient ways to rectify the upper eyelid skin relaxation and eyebrow drooping, widen the double eyelid line as well as to improve crow′s-feet. We firmly believe that it is essential for surgeons to sufficiently get to know patients′ requirements and design a personalized treatment scheme according to the relaxation degree of the upper eyelid soft tissue and the shape of eye-brow.

Objective:To investigate the curative effect of botulinum toxin type A combined with plastic operation of pouches on patients with eye skin relaxation and its impact on patients' satisfaction,and to provide reference for clinical application.Methods:A total of 60 patients with eye skin relaxation,who were treated in Baoji Central Hospital from June 2015 to June 2016,were selected as subjects and divided into control group (n=28) and treatment group (n=32) according to the patients' choices.The patients of control group were treated with plastic operation of pouches,while the patients of treatment group were treated with botulinum toxin type A combined with plastic operation of pouches.The two groups were followed up for 6 months.The improvement of crow's feet,the relief of pouches and the improvement of eye skin gloss of the patients after operation were observed and recorded.The incidence of complications were also observed.At the end of the follow-up,the satisfaction degrees of the patients were investigated with the self-made questionnaire.Results:After treatment,the improvement rate(100％) of crow's feet of the treatment group was significantly higher than that(60.71％) of the control group;the improvement rate (96.88％) of pouches of the treatment group was significantly higher than that (32.14％) of the control group;the improvement rate (87.50％) of eye skin gloss of the treatment group was significantly higher than that (53.57％) of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (all P＜0.05).After treatment,there was no significant difference in the incidence of incision swelling,small amount of secretions and small hematoma between the two groups (P＞0.05),the operation eye swelling and incision bruises outer canthus in the control group were more than those in the treatment group (P＜0.05).The total satisfaction rate [93.75％ (30/32)] of the treatment group was significantly higher than that[67.86％ (19/28)] of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Botulinum toxin type A combined with plastic operation of pouches in the treatment of eye skin relaxation has a better efficacy and safety,which can significantly reduce the incidence of operation eye swelling and incision bruises outer canthus,and improve patients' satisfaction rate.It is worthy of clinical application.
