ABSTRACT
Yichang Central People's Hospital is a large prefecture-level tertiary hospital in Hubei Province. Since the late foundation and interdisciplinary characteritics, the department of emergency and critical care medicine faced many difficulties during development. Based on the actual situation of the hospital, leaders of the hospital and two disciplines advocated their core values of "putting patients' interests first and building team spirit". In consideration of the timeliness, multidisciplinary collaboration and importance of critical care, the department of emergency and critical care medicine in Yichang Central People's Hospital of Hubei Province was set up, and an integrated first-aid platform was established. The concept of "5-minute emergency life chain" was proposed, which highlighted the status and role of the department of emergency and critical care medicine in modern medical rescue and modern general hospitals. In the past 5 years, the emergency department and intensive care unit have made rapid development, including successful establishment of national demonstration centers for chest pain and stroke. Quality of the discipline has also been greatly improved, and a new construction path of department of the emergency and critical care medicine has been created.

Clinical engineering is an applied engineering theory and technology that combines medical and engineering methods to study and solve problems related to technical management and technical support of medical equipment, medical consumables, medical appliances, application software and in vitro reagents in hospitals. Clinical engineering researches involve the integration of clinical medical device applications with medical technology. The deepening of China's medical and health system reform has brought new development opportunities to the clinical engineering discipline, and the development of this discipline has been accelerating. However, as an emerging discipline, clinical engineering still has problems such as insufficient attention, backward ideas, and lack of directions. In this paper, the connotation of clinical engineering was explained, and the development status of clinical engineering and the main problems were analyzed. The functions of clinical engineering departments and the professional positioning of clinical engineers were also analyzed. The transformation mode and development direction of clinical engineering disciplines and clinical engineers were proposed. This paper can provide the basis for the construction of a new clinical engineering work system.

Objective According to analyse SCI papers published by hospital faculties during the period of 2010-2015,this paper discussed influential factors and strategies for paper publishing from the perspective of hospital scientific research management,proposed suggestions to administrative department and leaderships for decision making.Methods Taking SCI database developed by Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) as data resource.Literature analysis method was used to analyze the SCI papers during 2010 2015 in terms of publishing amount,subject development,periodical distribution,foundation support,citation analysis,etc.Results The amount of the SCI papers increased sharply each year with a wide spread of extensive subjects which reveals the development of the medical research.However,the average Impact Factor of the paper is still struggling behind that of the top medical institutes.Most papers published in the hospital is supported by National Science Foundation of China (NSFC).Conclusions This paper proposed that the hospital needs to establish a series of policies to strengthen the project management and talent training in the long run,encourage publishing high quality papers to promote the development of disciplines,increasing the investment for constructing research platforms and also making good use of administration for better research.

The characteristics of ESI-based highly cited papers on library and information science were described by calculating their cited frequency and analyzing their citation network main path in order to find the gap in re-search hot spots and frontiers in library and information science between China and foreign countries, which showed that library and information science in China was far behind that in foreign countries, the number of ESI-based highly cited papers needed to be increased, there was a hope for certain colleges and universities to contribute their first ESI-based highly cited paper. Three key research interests were found in citation network of ESI-based highly cited papers and importance should be attached to the interfusion and integration of library and information science with medical informatics.
