ABSTRACT
Para cualquier individuo en el mundo en que vivimos, gestionar información relevante no es una tarea fácil, para un profesional en cualquier campo del saber encontrar la información que requiere para su actualización, que le ayude a tomar decisiones y a tener un mejor desempeño en su labor resulta vital, y eso sólo se logra si esta debidamente capacitado en el manejo de las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones para buscar información. Para facilitar este proceso a los profesionales de la salud que se inician en esta actividad y en armonía con la alfabetización informacional, se exponen los aspectos fundamentales a tener en cuenta al realizar una búsqueda informativa en la Biblioteca Virtual de Salud de Cuba (AU)
