ABSTRACT

This paper introduced the design of medical quality management system on department level ,and its application and the effect in a large-scale hospital. Our practice demonstrated that this department-level quality management system with the PDCA cycle in the whole process of quality management ,can promote the medical quality management activities to be carried out in an organized ,regulated ,planed ,well checked and concluded manner .

ABSTRACT

Quality management at ICU refers to the analysis and evaluation system of the medical be-havior,improving the quality through various means,to provide better medical services for patients.The eva-luation of ICU quality can be carried out through a series of indicators.Quality control index is considered as a reliable means to reflect the quality management level.In 2015,China issued the quality control index of ICU,which was regarded as the index that we need to pay attention to at present.These indexes include three aspects:result index,process index and outcome index.Learning and mastering these indexes and applying them in the actual medical treatment has positive significance for the continuous improvement of the medical quality of ICU.

ABSTRACT

Objective To learn the present hospital management conditions in Shanghai for upgrading quality of care.Methods The stratified sampling method was used for a questionnaire survey of the quality of care at 20 hospitals in Shanghai (10 tertiary hospitals and 10 secondary hospitals).The survey covered such six dimensions as organizational framework,management functions,management tools,professional training,regulations and norms,and supervision over operations.Results Medical quality management system is established at such hospitals and all of them have established medical quality management committees.Rooms of improvement remain in such details as departmental quality management,regulations standardization,IT support,and management tools popularity.Conclusion Management regulations and standards of medical quality management should be improved and implemented from both external and internal aspects,to improve medical quality and patient safety.

ABSTRACT

With performance evaluation management as the stepping stone,the hospital joined the DRGs with the attending in-charge method by means of enforcing the attending in charge practice,DRGs knowledge training,and identifying problems with DRGs grouped data of the attending physician group, in an effort to explore new methods of medical quality control.Two years of practice provide tools of quality control to strengthen the hospital’s fine management.At the same time,it should also be noticed that DRGs merely diversify management means,as the content and form of which still need to constantly be improved in the course.

Objective To discuss the relationship between clinical pathway management and semi-structured electronic medical record(EMR),and explore the effects of EMR on hospital information system and its management quality.Methods EMR was used in combination with quality management and clinical pathway management.The relationship between clinical pathway management and semi-structured electronic medical record(EMR) was researched.Results Semi-structured EMR can increase the clinical pathway managerment and improve the clinical quality of management,the competitiveness of hospital can be upgraded.Conclusion Hospital should widely develop semi-structured EMR and promote the clinical pathway managerment in the future.

ABSTRACT

Objective To improve the hospital's capability for controlling the quality and expenses of disease categories so as to reduce unnecessary consumption of medical resources while ensuring medical quality. Methods All inpatient cases in the hospital were classified according to disease categories,reference criteria for the quality and expenses of all disease categories were formulated,feedback and analysis systems and assessment systems for the quality of disease categories were improved,and evaluation of the care quality and work performance by departments or physicians was conducted.Results The departments' awareness of the quality and expenses of disease categories was enhanced,the rate of good-quality cases rose from 80.01% to 86.22%,and the proportion of drug expenses dropped to 40.32%.Conclusion Classified management of cases of disease categories plays a key role in improving a hospital's managerial level,enhancing its medical efficiency,reducing its medical costs,and standardizing its medical behavior.
