ABSTRACT

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a psychiatric condition characterized by reduced social interaction, anxiety, and stereotypic behaviors related to neuroinflammation and microglia activation. We demonstrated that maternal exposure to Western diet (cafeteria diet or CAF) induced microglia activation, systemic proinflammatory profile, and ASD-like behavior in the offspring. Here, we aimed to identify the effect of alternate day fasting (ADF) as a non-pharmacologic strategy to modulate neuroinflammation and ASD-like behavior in the offspring prenatally exposed to CAF diet. We found that ADF increased plasma beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) levels in the offspring exposed to control and CAF diets but not in the cortex (Cx) and hippocampus (Hpp). We observed that ADF increased the CD45 + cells in Cx of both groups; In control individuals, ADF promoted accumulation of CD206 + microglia cells in choroid plexus (CP) and increased in CD45 + macrophages cells and lymphocytes in the Cx. Gestational exposure to CAF diet promoted defective sociability in the offspring; ADF improved social interaction and increased microglia CD206 + in the Hpp and microglia complexity in the dentate gyrus. Additionally, ADF led to attenuation of the ER stress markers (Bip/ATF6/p-JNK) in the Cx and Hpp. Finally, biological modeling showed that fasting promotes higher microglia complexity in Cx, which is related to improvement in social interaction, whereas in dentate gyrus sociability is correlated with less microglia complexity. These data suggest a contribution of intermittent fasting as a physiological stimulus capable of modulating microglia phenotype and complexity in the brain, and social interaction in male mice.

ABSTRACT

O presente trabalho trata-se de um estudo que analisa os processos de sociabilidade que acontecem em um grupo de convivência para idosos na cidade de João Neiva, no Espírito Santo (ES). Para isso, apropriamo-nos do conceito de sociabilidade desenvolvido pelo filósofo alemão Georg Simmel e do conceito de "pedaço" do antropólogo José Guilherme Cantor Magnani, estendendo essa concepção ao Centro Associativo Renascer (CEAR), onde foram observadas relações de tensões, mas principalmente de um forte sentimento de pertencimento que sustenta uma rede de sociabilidade entre os frequentadores do local.


The present work is a study that analyzes the processes of sociability that take place in a coexistence group for the elderly in the city of João Neiva, in Espírito Santo (ES). For this, we appropriated the concept of sociability developed by the german philosopher Georg Simmel and also the concept of "piece" by the anthropologist José Guilherme Cantor Magnani, extending this conception to the Centro Associativo Renascer (CEAR), where relations of tensions were observed, but mainly from a strong sense of belonging that sustains a sociability network among the locals.

ABSTRACT

Recent evidence has suggested that changes in maternal gut microbiota in early life may generate neurobiological consequences associated with psychiatric-related abnormalities. However, the number of studies on humans investigating this problem is limited, and preclinical findings sometimes conflict. Therefore, we run a meta-analysis to examine whether maternal microbiota disturbance (MMD) during neurodevelopment might affect the offspring during adulthood. We found thirteen studies, from a set of 459 records selected by strategy registered on PROSPERO (#289224), to target preclinical studies that evaluated the behavioral outcomes of the rodents generated by dams submitted to perinatal enteric microbiota perturbation. The analysis revealed a significant effect size (SMD = -0.51, 95% CI = -0.79 to -0.22, p < .001, T2 = 0.54, I2 = 79.85%), indicating that MMD might provoke behavioral impairments in the adult offspring. The MMD also induces a significant effect size for the reduction of the sociability behavior (SMD = -0.63, 95% CI = -1.18 to -0.07, p = 0.011, T2 = 0.30, I2 = 76.11%) and obsessive-compulsive-like behavior (SMD = -0.68, 95% CI = -0.01 to -1.36, p = 0.009, T2 = 0.25, I2 = 62.82%) parameters. The effect size was not significant or inconclusive for memory and anxiety-like behavior, or inconclusive for schizophrenia-like and depressive-like behavior. Therefore, experimental perinatal MMD is vertically transmitted to the offspring, negatively impacting behavioral parameters related to psychiatric disorders.

ABSTRACT

Intergenerational transmission of the effects of environmental factors on brain function and behavior can occur through epigenetic mechanisms. Valproic acid (VPA) is an anticonvulsant drug that, when administered during pregnancy, causes various birth defects. The mechanisms of action are largely unclear: VPA can reduce neuronal excitability, but it also inhibits the histone deacetylases, affecting gene expression. Here we evaluated whether the effects of valproic acid prenatal exposure on autism spectrum disorder (ASD)-related behavioral phenotypes can be transmitted to the second generation (F2) through the paternal or the maternal lineage. Indeed, we found that F2 males of the VPA pedigree show reduced sociability, which can be rescued by exposing the animals to social enrichment. Moreover, as is the case for F1 males, F2 VPA males show increased c-Fos expression in the piriform cortex. However, F3 males show normal sociability, indicating that VPA's effects on this behavior are not transgenerationally inherited. Female behavior is not affected by VPA exposure, and we found no evidence of maternal transmission of the consequences of this pharmacological treatment. Finally, all animals exposed to VPA and their descendants show reduced body weight, highlighting an intriguing effect of this compound on metabolism. We propose the VPA model of ASD as a valuable mouse model to study the role of epigenetic inheritance and its underlying mechanisms affecting behavior and neuronal function.

ABSTRACT

Most invasions start with the introduction of a few individuals and the majority fail to establish and become invasive populations. A possible explanation for this is that some species are subject to Allee effects-disadvantages of low densities-and fail to perform vital activities due to the low availability of conspecifics. We propose that 'facilitation' from native individuals to non-natives through heterospecific sociability could enhance chances of the latter establishing in novel environments by helping them avoid Allee effects and even reducing the minimum number of non-native individuals necessary to achieve the density for a viable population (the Allee effect threshold). There is evidence from experiments carried out with freshwater fish, snails, lizards, mussels and bird that supports the idea of heterospecific sociability between native and non-native species as a process to promote invasion success. We propose that to understand invasion success in social non-native species we need to investigate how they integrate into the recipient community. Furthermore, to manage them, it may be necessary to reduce population density not just below the Allee effect threshold but also to understand how natives could help them shift the conspecific Allee effect threshold to their benefit. ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: The present study analyzed a gymnastics program offered by the Department of Sports and Leisure at a Brazilian city hall, representing an example of an effective and consolidated public policy. MAIN OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to understand the reasons for enrollment/joining (adhesion) and permanence (adherence) among female students in gymnastics groups in order to understand why this public policy has been taking place uninterruptedly for over thirty years and to characterize the quality of life of female gymnastics students. METHODS: This is a case study that used mixed methods. As a quantitative method, the Portuguese version of the World Health Organization Quality of Life-Abbreviated Version (WHOQOL-bref) questionnaire was used. As a qualitative method, the focus group technique was used. Thus, 239 women aged between thirty-five and seventy-four years old, who were students of the gymnastics program, participated in this research by answering the WHOQOL-bref questionnaire. Two classes were selected using the socioeconomic criterion of social classes in inverse situations to carry out one focus group session; then, twenty students belonging to the two classes were randomly selected. RESULTS: It was verified that the public policy studied has led to an improvement in the quality of life of the students, with the benefits extending beyond physical health, and that in both groups adhesion occurred mainly due to the indication of students who already practiced, or due to medical indications. It was also found that, in both groups, the main reason for long-term adherence was the understanding of the gymnastics class as a space for sociability and a moment of leisure. CONCLUSION: Physical activity is an important health promotion strategy. In addition to its biological benefits, which are necessary for the prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases, it also improves health and quality of life through social and psychological benefits, characterizing it as an effective health care strategy from a biopsychosocial perspective.

ABSTRACT

Resumo O convívio em moradia estudantil revela desafios nas relações entre seus moradores e destes com o espaço que, então, habitam. O objetivo deste artigo foi o de apresentar os principais desafios de ser morador nesse contexto, compreendendo as sociabilidades e as relações com o lugar. Este estudo constitui-se, a partir de uma abordagem qualitativa, em uma pesquisa de intervenção participativa, com observação participante e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os sujeitos da pesquisa apontaram a moradia como espaço que amplia a qualidade de vida e viabiliza laços de amizade, permitindo-lhes apropriar-se do lugar como lar. É na dimensão das sociabilidades que, comumente, encontram-se desafios como negociar rotinas, privacidade e organização do espaço e convivência com diferenças culturais, o que resulta situações de conflito. É relevante conhecer caminhos que contribuam para ações coletivas, formação de redes de apoio e mediações frente situações de vulnerabilidade e conflitos.


Resumen Vivir en viviendas para estudiantes revela desafíos en las relaciones entre sus residentes y entre ellos y el espacio que habitan. El objetivo de este artículo fue presentar los principales desafíos de ser residente en este contexto, comprendiendo las sociabilidades y las relaciones con el lugar. Este estudio se constituye, desde un enfoque cualitativo, en una investigación de intervención participativa, con observación participante y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los sujetos de investigación señalaron que la vivienda como un espacio que potencia la calidad de vida y posibilita lazos de amistad, permitiéndoles apropiarse del lugar como hogar. Es en la dimensión de la sociabilidad donde comúnmente se encuentran desafíos, como las negociación de rutinas, la privacidad y la organización del espacio y la convivencia con las diferencias culturales, lo que resulta en situaciones de conflicto. Es importante conocer formas que contribuyan a acciones colectivas, formación de redes de apoyo y mediación en situaciones de vulnerabilidad y conflictos.


Abstract Living in student housing reveals challenges in the relationships between residents, as well as their interactions with the space they inhabit. The aim of this article was to present the main challenges of being a resident in this context, understanding the sociability and relationships with the place. This study is constituted, from a qualitative approach, in a participatory intervention research, with participant observation and semi-structured interviews. The research subjects indicated housing as a space that enhances the quality of life and enables bonds of friendship, allowing them to appropriate the place as a home. It is in the dimension of sociability that challenges commonly found, such as negotiating routines, privacy and organization of space and coexistence with cultural differences, which results in situations of conflict. It is important to know ways that contribute to collective actions, formation of support networks, and mediation in situations of vulnerability and conflict.

ABSTRACT

O texto apresentado tem como objetivo analisar o Cotinguiba Esporte Clube como espaço de lazer e sociabilidade na cidade de Aracaju (SE) entre o início da década de 1980 e final da década de 1990, e identificar as atividades utilizadas como lazer no período em questão. O Cotinguiba é o primeiro e um dos clubes, esportivo e social, mais importantes da cidade de Aracaju. Logo, o estudo tem característica de uma pesquisa qualitativa, combinando elementos de cunho bibliográfico e documental. Para acessar aos dados foram realizadas entrevistas, assim como também foram acessados documentos referentes ao clube. Como resultado foi possível perceber o quanto o Cotinguiba foi importante para a população de Aracaju nas décadas estudadas, pois, através das atividades físico esportivas, bem como das suas festividades realizadas houve uma interferência relevante quanto às mudanças nos costumes e hábitos de lazer e nos aspectos socioculturais da população da cidade de Aracaju.


The present text aims to analyze the Cotinguiba Esporte Clube as a space for leisure and sociability in the city of Aracaju (SE) between the beginning of the 1980s and the end of the 1990s, and to identify the activities used as leisure in the period in question. Cotinguiba is the first and one of the most important sports and social clubs in the city of Aracaju. Therefore, the study has the characteristic of a qualitative research, combining bibliographic and documentary elements. To access the data, interviews were carried out, as well as documents referring to the club. As a result, it was possible to perceive how important Cotinguiba was for the population of Aracaju in the decades studied, because, through physical sports activities, as well as their festivities, there was a relevant interference regarding changes in customs and leisure habits and in the aspects sociocultural aspects of the population of the city of Aracaju.

ABSTRACT

Zebrafish is a prominent vertebrate model, with many of its advantages related to its development, life cycle, and translational ability. While a great number of behavioral phenotypes and tasks to evaluate them are available, longitudinal studies across zebrafish life stages are scarce and made challenging because of the differences between protocols and endpoints assessed at each life stage. In this mini review, we highlight the relevance that longitudinal studies could have for neurobehavioral pharmacology using this model. We also present possible strategies to standardize behavior endpoints in domains related to human diseases throughout the life cycle, especially between larvae and adult fish. Furthermore, we discuss the remaining difficulties of these analyses and explore future advances needed to bridge this knowledge gap.

ABSTRACT

Resumo O texto aborda os circuitos de sociabilidade de homens que fazem sexo com homens, na Região Metropolitana do Recife durante o primeiro ano da pandemia de COVID-19. Em março de 2020, com a chegada da doença ao Brasil, um primeiro movimento foi caracterizado pelo deslocamento das interações para a dimensão on-line. A partir de junho, após distanciamento social mais rigoroso, as interações sexuais offline, a social na casa de amigos, a volta aos bares e a sociabilidade na rua foram sendo, nessa ordem, retomadas na esteira do que acontecia na sociedade abrangente. No descompasso entre o discurso negacionista do presidente da República e o protagonismo do governo estadual em implantar as medidas de distanciamento social, nas contradições geradas pela leniência em relação à aglomeração no transporte público na ida para o trabalho e nas tentativas de contenção das aglomerações de lazer, produziu-se um novo normal caracterizado pelo negacionismo, a onipotência e o fatalismo. Entre setembro de 2020 e fevereiro de 2021, o que mais se viu foram festas, circulação ostensiva das pessoas e ausência do uso de máscara, impulsionando os números de infectados e de mortos, na normalização de uma crise sanitária sem precedentes no Brasil.


Abstract The text addresses the sociability circuits of 'men who have sex with men' in the Metropolitan Region of Recife during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. In March 2020, with the arrival of the epidemic in Brazil, a first movement was characterized by the shift of interactions to the online dimension. From June onwards, after stricter social distancing, offline sexual interactions, social interactions at friends' houses, the return to bars and sociability on the street were resumed in that order, in the wake of what was happening in the broader society. In the mismatch between the negationist speech of the President of the Republic and the role of the state government in implementing measures of social distancing; in the contradictions generated by the leniency regarding crowding in public transport on the way to and from work and the attempts to contain the crowds seeking leisure activities, a 'new normal' emerged and was marked by negativism, omnipotence and fatalism. Between September 2020 and February 2021, what were most evident were parties, ostensive circulation of people and the lack of mask use, boosting the numbers of the infected and the dead, in the normalization of an unprecedented health crisis in Brazil.

A diversidade de grupos anônimos no âmbito social compõe um panorama maior de coletivos identitários que reivindicam sua diferença e distinção social. Considerando a primazia histórica da Irmandade Alcoólicos Anônimos (AA), este artigo discute a construção identitária e social do alcoólico anônimo. Recorremos à literatura oficial da Irmandade como fonte de dados e à teoria psicanalítica como referencial teórico para a análise dos resultados. Constatamos que a construção identitária do alcoólico anônimo se estabelece a partir de um engajamento a Irmandade, sendo seu funcionamento pautado nos ideais de fraternidade, anonimato e abstinência alcoólica. Entre os AA, a identificação sintomática com o alcoolismo pressupõe o vínculo fraternal, funcionando como uma reparação imaginária no trabalho de construção do alcoolista anônimo. Concluímos que a produção identitária "alcoólico anônimo" consiste na adesão a uma nova forma de vida, cujos efeitos são de segregação ao laço social e de alienação ao Outro institucional (AU).


In contemporaneity, the presence of several anonymous groups composes a diverse set of identity groups that claim their difference and distinction. Considering the historicity of the Brotherhood of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), this article analyzes the identity construction of the anonymous alcoholic and its relationship with the social bond. We used the official literature of the Brotherhood as a data source and the psychoanalytic theory as a theoretical reference for the analysis of the results. We find that the identity construction of the anonymous alcoholic establishes, in principle, from an institutional engagement to the AA, being its operation based on the ideals of brotherhood, anonymity and alcohol abstinence. Among AA the symptomatic identification with the alcoholism disease occurs concomitant to the establishment of the fraternal bond that functions as an imaginary and egoic repair for the alcoholic in his work of identity production. We conclude that the "anonymous alcoholic" identity construction is equivalent to the purpose of the therapeutic proposal of AA that consists in the adhesion to a new way of life, whose effects are of segregation to the social bond and of alienation to the Institutional Other (AU).


En nuestra era contemporánea, la presencia de innumerables grupos anónimos constituye un panorama diverso de grupos de identidad que reclaman su diferencia y distinción. Considerando la primacía histórica de la Hermandad Alcohólicos Anónimos (AA), este artículo discute la construcción de identidad del alcohólico anónimo y su relación con el vínculo social. Utilizamos la literatura oficial de la Hermandad como fuente de datos y la teoría psicoanalítica como marco teórico para el análisis de resultados. Descubrimos que la construcción de la identidad del alcohólico anónimo se establece, al principio, a partir de un compromiso institucional con AA, y su funcionamiento se basa en los ideales de fraternidad, anonimato y abstinencia de alcohol. Entre los AA, la identificación sintomática con el alcoholismo de la enfermedad ocurre simultáneamente con el establecimiento del vínculo fraterno que funciona como una reparación imaginaria y egoica para el alcohólico en su trabajo de construcción de identidad. Concluimos que la producción de identidad "alcohólica anónima" es equivalente al propósito de la propuesta terapéutica de AA, que consiste en adherirse a una nueva forma de vida, cuyos efectos son la segregación del vínculo social y la alienación del Otro institucional (AU)

The aim of this research was to update the psychometric properties of the Del-Prette Social Skills Inventory-2, a measure of social performance in social interaction situations. The sample consisted of 4,250 participants of both sexes aged between 18 and 59 years old (M = 35.85; df = 11.33; 51.1% woman). Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling suggested the adequacy of the internal structure of the original version of the instrument, consisting of five factors: Assertive Conversation, Affective-Sexual Approach, Expression of positive sentiment, Self-Control/Coping, and Social Resourcefulness, all of them with good reliability indicators, alphas higher than 0.774, and measurement invariance indicators across groups as a function of sex and different age ranges. The Partial Credit Model provided the item's and participant's parameters: difficulty level/theta and adjustment indices, which were adequate. The results suggest that the inventory is a suitable measure of social skills for professional and research purposes.


O objetivo da presente pesquisa foi atualizar as propriedades psicométricas do Inventário de Habilidades Sociais Del-Prette, uma medida de desempenho sociais em situações de interação social. A amostra foi composta por 4.250 participantes de ambos os sexos com idade entre 18 e 59 anos (M = 35,85; DP = 11,33; 51,1% mulheres). A Análise de Equações Estruturais Exploratória indicou adequação da estrutura interna da versão original do instrumento, composta por cinco fatores:conversação assertiva, abordagem afetivo-sexual, expressão de sentimento positivo, autocontrole/enfrentamento e desenvoltura social. Todos obtiveram bons indicadores de precisão, alfas superiores a 0,774, e indicadores de invariância dos parâmetros da medida em função dos sexos e faixas etárias. O Modelo de Créditos Parciais forneceu os parâmetros dos itens e características dos participantes: níveis de dificuldades/theta e índices de ajuste, que se mostraram apropriados. Os resultados sugerem que o inventário é uma medida de habilidades sociais adequada para uso profissional e pesquisa.

ABSTRACT

The early life status epilepticus (SE) causes high anxiety and chronic socialization abnormalities, revealed by a low preference for social novelty and deficit in social discrimination. This study investigated the involvement of the endocannabinoid system on the sociability in this model, due to its role in social motivation regulation. Male Wistar rats at postnatal day 9 were subjected to pilocarpine-induced neonatal SE and controls received saline. From P60 the groups received vehicle or JZL195 2 h before each behavioral test to increase endocannabinoids availability. In the sociability test, animals subjected to neonatal SE exhibited impaired sociability, characterized by social discrimination deficit, which was unaffected by the JZL195 treatment. In contrast, JZL195-treated control rats showed low sociability and impaired social discrimination. The negative impact of JZL195 over the sociability in control rats and the lack of effect in animals subjected to neonatal SE was confirmed in the social memory paradigm. In this paradigm, as expected for vehicle-treated control rats, the investigation toward the same social stimulus decreased with the sequential exposition and increased toward a novel stimulus. In animals subjected to neonatal SE, regardless of the treatment, as well as in JZL195-treated control rats, the investigation toward the same social stimulus was significantly reduced with no improvement toward a novel stimulus. Concerning the locomotion, the JZL195 increased it only in control rats. After behavioral tests, brain tissues of untreated animals were used for CB1 receptor quantification by Elisa and for gene expression by RT-PCR: no difference between control and experimental animals was noticed. The results reinforce the evidence that the early SE causes chronic socialization abnormalities, revealed by the low social interest for novelty and impaired social discrimination. The dual FAAH/MAGL inhibitor (JZL195) administration before the social encounter impaired the social interaction in intact rats with no effect in animals subjected to early-life seizures.

ABSTRACT

Traditionally, mental health specialists monitor their patients' social behavior by applying subjective self-report questionnaires in face-to-face meetings. Usually, the application of the self-report questionnaire is limited by cognitive biases (e.g., memory bias and social desirability). As an alternative, we present a solution to detect context-aware sociability patterns and behavioral changes based on social situations inferred from ubiquitous device data. This solution does not focus on the diagnosis of mental states, but works on identifying situations of interest to specialized professionals. The proposed solution consists of an algorithm based on frequent pattern mining and complex event processing to detect periods of the day in which the individual usually socializes. Social routine recognition is performed under different context conditions to differentiate abnormal social behaviors from the variation of usual social habits. The proposed solution also can detect abnormal behavior and routine changes. This solution uses fuzzy logic to model the knowledge of the mental health specialist necessary to identify the occurrence of behavioral change. Evaluation results show that the prediction performance of the identified context-aware sociability patterns has strong positive relation (Pearson's correlation coefficient >70%) with individuals' social routine. Finally, the evaluation conducted recognized that the proposed solution leading to the identification of abnormal social behaviors and social routine changes consistently.

Dialogando com reflexão de Canclini na quarentena da Cidade do México em 2009 pela epidemia de H1N1, nosso artigo aborda as cidades de São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro para discutir desdobramentos da pandemia da Covid-19. O agravamento da crise denuncia e expõe as flagrantes desigualdades sociais fomentadas pelo modelo de gestão dos espaços urbanos que associa o político ao econômico, favorecendo a concentração de renda e limitando o acesso a recursos de toda ordem. Comunicação, vigilância, sociabilidade e cidadania são os eixos temáticos da discussão apresentada. Ao final, argumentamos sobre a urgência em constituirmos um revigorado horizonte comum de debate e ação coletiva unindo o político ao social.


In dialogue with Canclini's reflection during the quarantine of Mexico City in 2009 due to the H1N1 epidemic, our article focuses on the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to discuss the unfolding of the Covid-19 pandemic. The worsening of the crisis denounces and exposes the flagrant social inequalities fostered by the current model of management of urban spaces that associates the political with the economic, favoring the concentration of income and limiting access to all kinds of resources. Communication, surveillance, sociability, and citizenship are interwoven in this discussion. In the end, we argue about the urgency of creating an invigorated common horizon of debate and collective action by uniting the political and the social spheres.


En diálogo con la reflexión de Canclini en la cuarentena de la Ciudad de México en 2009 debido a la epidemia de H1N1, nuestro artículo se centra en las ciudades de São Paulo y Rio de Janeiro para discutir los desarrollos de la pandemia de Covid-19. El agravamiento de la crisis denuncia y expone las flagrantes desigualdades sociales fomentadas por el modelo actual de gestión de espacios urbanos que asocia lo político con lo económico, favoreciendo la concentración de ingresos y limitando el acceso a todo tipo de recursos. Comunicación, vigilancia, sociabilidad y ciudadanía se entrelazan en esta discusión. Al final, discutimos sobre la urgencia de crear un vigorizado horizonte común de debate y acción colectiva uniendo lo político y lo social.

ABSTRACT

Neste estudo, buscamos compreender os usos e apropriações de equipamentos destinados ao lazer e a saúde por frequentadores de uma praça pública localizada na região metropolitana do município de Vitória/ES. Para a realização da investigação optamos pela utilização de observações etnográficas, complementadas por observações participantes, diários de campo e entrevistas. Os resultados indicaram que o equipamento de lazer é ocupado com maior assiduidade quando comparado ao equipamento de saúde isso porque, no primeiro, as redes de sociabilidade e a produção de sentido/significado manifestam-se na coletividade de seus frequentadores. Também foi evidenciado que as opções de entretenimento e a qualidade dos espaços influenciavam nos seus usos e apropriações.


In this study we seek to understand the uses and appropriations of leisure and health equipments by people who attend a public square located in the metropolitan region of Vitória/ES. For the research we chose to use ethnographic observations, complemented by participant observations, field diaries and interviews. The results indicated that leisure equipment is occupied with greater attendance when compared to health equipment because, in the first, forms of interaction (sociability) and the production of meaning / meaning manifest themselves in the collectivity of their visitors. It was also evidenced that the entertainment options and the quality of the spaces influenced their uses and appropriations.

Resumo O presente artigo parte de dados recolhidos de uma pesquisa centrada nas sociabilidades escolares, pretendendo-se, na esteira de uma sociologia dos envolvimentos e comunalidades, trazer à luz outros ângulos da justiça escolar e do fazer o comum na escola. É, concretamente, mobilizada uma técnica designada por questionário por cenários, em que, a partir de uma narrativa de carácter dilemático, pretende-se aceder aos sentidos morais evidenciados por alunos inquiridos. Analisamos em particular as inquietações em torno do respeito, reconhecimento, hospitalidade e decência trazidas à colação por esses atores nas interações e nos juízos críticos produzidos - juízos esses que transcendem leituras meramente feitas a partir dos dispositivos formais reguladores das condutas no espaço escolar.


Resumen El presente artículo parte de los datos recogidos de una pesquisa centrada en las sociabilidades escolares, pretendiéndose, en la huella de una sociología de las participaciones y comunidades, traer a la luz otros ángulos de la justicia escolar y del quehacer habitual en la escuela. Es, concretamente, movilizada una técnica designada por cuestionario por situaciones, en que, a partir de una narrativa de carácter dilemático, se pretende acceder a los sentidos morales evidenciados por alumnos inquiridos. Analizamos en particular las preocupaciones en torno del respeto, reconocimiento, hospitalidad y decencia planteadas por esos actores en las interacciones y en los juicios críticos producidos - juicios esos que transcienden lecturas meramente hechas a partir de los dispositivos formales reguladores de las conductas en el espacio escolar.


Résumé Cet article part des données d'une recherche axée sur les sociabilités scolaires. Dans le sillage d'une sociologie des engagements et des communalités, il s'agit de mettre en lumière d'autres aspects de la justice scolaire et du faire commun en milieu scolaire. Concrètement, à l'aide d'une technique denommée questionnaire par scénarios, à partir d'un récit à caractère dilemmatique, on vise à accéder aux significations morales mises en évidence par les étudiants interrogés. Nous analysons en particulier les préoccupations relatives au respect, à la reconnaissance, à l'hospitalité et à la décence soulevées par ces acteurs dans leurs interactions et leurs jugements critiques, jugements transcendant les lectures qui sont faites uniquement à partir des dispositifs formels régissant les conduites dans l'espace scolaire.


Abstract This article is based on data collected from a research project centred on school sociability, aiming, through a sociology of engagements and commonalities, to shed light on other angles of school justice and the making of the common in the school territory. Specifically, a technique termed scenario survey is mobilized, in which, based on a dilemmatic narrative, the intention is to access the moral meanings evidenced by the inquired students. We analysed particularly their inquietude around respect, recognition, hospitality and decency brought up by these actors in their interactions and critical judgments - judgments that transcend interpretations merely based on the formal governing devices of actor's conduct in the school space.

Early-life status epilepticus produces deficit in social interaction and vocalization, enhances anxiety, no cognitive impairment and alters functional connectivity within the hippocampus (CA3-CA1) and between the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11], [12], but the underlying mechanisms remain unknown. This data article contains behavioral and molecular data of the adult male Wistar rats subjected to early life pilocarpine-induced seizures. Animal's behaviors were assessed to social memory and social motivation, working and reference memories and cognitive flexibility. The brain tissues (hypothalamus, hippocampus, amygdala, and striatum) were probed to gene and protein expression of molecules related to social behavior, reward system and synaptic function.

ABSTRACT

O artigo discute a narrativa da "crise" carnavalesca feirense dos anos de 1930 e tem o objetivo de compreender como as representações sobre a festa revelam os projetos de sociabilidade e de um imaginário de cidade pautados nos ideais de modernidade. Para alcançar esse objetivo optei por um aporte teórico que pensa as cidades como resultado de construções coletivas que, para além da materialidade, considera as sociabilidades e sensibilidades (PESAVENTO, 2007). E nesse aspecto penso que as representações (CHARTIER, 1990) são partes fundamentais na construção dos imaginários (BACZKO, 1985). Essa análise foi fundamentada na interpretação das fontes jornalísticas, que entendo terem sido fundamentais na construção de um ideal de festa e da cidade. Isso porque não considero os jornais como apenas veículos de notícias e sim como espaços de poder e de construtores de sentidos (CHAUÍ, 2006).


The article discusses the narrative of the carnival feirense of the 1930s and aims to understand how the representations about the party reveal the projects of sociability and an imaginary city, based on the ideals of modernity. In order to achieve this goal, I opted for a theoretical approach that considers cities as the result of collective constructions that, in addition to materiality, consider sociability and sensibility (PESAVENTO, 2007). In this respect I think that representations (CHARTIER, 1990) are fundamental parts in the construction of the imaginary (BACZKO, 1985). This analysis was based on the interpretation of journalistic sources, which I believe were fundamental in the construction of a party and city ideal. This is because I do not consider newspapers as just news vehicles, but rather as spaces of power and sense builders (CAHUÍ, 2006).

ABSTRACT

Esta pesquisa buscou analisar as formas de apropriação da Avenida Perimetral/Paulo Luís da Assunção, quais equipamentos de lazer as pessoas mais utilizam, quais os horários esses usuários frequentam o espaço e os fatores que afetam a permanência neles. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de caráter exploratório, foi utilizada a triangulação para a realização da análise e interpretação dos dados. A partir dos resultados, constatou-se que as principais atividades desenvolvidas na Avenida são circulação, lazer, como conversar, brincar, jogar bola, tomar tereré, exercitar-se, entre outros. Conclui-se que a revitalização da Avenida trouxe benefícios para a população, como espaços para as práticas de esporte e lazer, embelezamento dos bairros, segurança e tranquilidade para a população, configurando espaços de sociabilidade, promovendo encontros, estabelecendo vínculos e relações de amizade.


This research sought to analyze the forms of appropriation of Perimetral Avenue/Paulo Luís da Assunção, which leisure facilities people use the most, what time these users attend the space and the factors that affect their permanence in them. It is a qualitative research of exploratory character, the triangulation was used for the accomplishment of the analysis and interpretation of the data. From the results, it was verified that the main activities developed in the Avenue are circulation, leisure, such as talking, playing, playing ball, taking tereré, exercising, among others. It is concluded that the revitalization of the Avenue brought benefits to the population, as spaces for sports and leisure practices, neighborhood beautification, security and tranquility for the population, configuring spaces of sociability, promoting meetings, establishing bonds and friendly relations.
