Object To study the chemical constituents of the root bark of Lycium chinense Mill Methods Various chromatographic techniques were used to separate and purify the constituents Their structures were elucidated on the physico chemical properties and spectral data Results Five compounds were isolated from the root bark of L chinense and identified as vanillic acid (Ⅰ), apigenin (Ⅱ), linarin (Ⅲ), glucosyringic acid (Ⅳ) and digupigan A (Ⅴ) Conclusion Digupigan A is a new compound.
