RESUMEN

This paper constructs a theoretical analysis model based on the theories of planned behaviour, consumer emotion and identity by surveying tourists in Zunyi city, China and employing structural equation modelling to explore the influence mechanisms of tourist motivation, satisfaction and place identity on the loyalty of 'red tourism'. The research results demonstrated a relationship between tourist motivation, satisfaction, place identity and tourist loyalty and thus confirmed the theoretical model. Tourist satisfaction and place identity are important means by which tourist motivation affects the loyalty of red tourism. However, tourist motivation cannot directly affect red tourism loyalty, though it can indirectly affect it via satisfaction and place identity. Tourist motivation not only directly influences the satisfaction of red tourism but also indirectly influences it through place identity. Furthermore, tourist motivation affects place identity. The mere recognition of place identity does not automatically attract tourists' loyalty but can, through their experiencing satisfaction, indirectly inspire it. Nevertheless, place identity can only directly affect tourist satisfaction, and tourist satisfaction can only directly affect red tourism loyalty.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVES: Sub-visible particle, or particulate matter, is an important indicator in the safety assessment of clinical infusions. The present study aims to evaluate the effect of the packaging formats of antibiotic on the distribution of sub-visible particles in the small particle size range (<10 µm), to provide evidence for explanation to clinical adverse reactions and guidelines for rational drug use. METHODS: The conventional light blockage and the single particle optical sensing (SPOS) technology were applied to determine the size distribution of the sub-visible particles in the redissolved injections in different packages (dual-chamber bag and vial) from different manufacturers. In order to verify our hypothesis, the influences of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and solvent were controlled. Further, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was utilized to observe the morphological characteristics of sub-visible particles from different package injections. RESULTS: After redissolving, the small-sized sub-visible particles (<10 µm) in the solution of injectable powder packaged in the dual-chamber bag were significantly lower than that of the conventional injectable powder packaged in the vial, and the difference remained significant after controlling for API. The results observed by SEM also supported the differences in the amount of particulate matter between the two packaging formats, showing a higher number of sub-visible particles from sodium chloride dissolved preparations packed in vails, with irregular shapes. CONCLUSION: In our study, the differences in the distribution of sub-visible particles were mainly attributed to the packaging formats. The dual-chamber bag injection might be an effective alternative to reduce the adverse reactions caused by sub-visible particles.

RESUMEN

This paper took the panel data of 1052 heavily-polluting listed companies from both the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2017 to empirically analyze the impact of environmental regulation (ERG) on firm performance (FP). The article introduces a mediating effect model to test the mediating role of corporate tax burden (ETR) within the relationship between ERG on FP. The results showed that: (1) ERG has exerted a significant enhancement effect on the performance of heavily polluted firms via the ETR reduction mechanism. (2) The mediating effect of ETR depends on the duration of ERG. A significant time lag exists before the mediating effect starts to work, and the magnitude of the mediating effect increases with the time lag from the execution of the ERG. (3) The mediating effect of ETR varies significantly with the nature of corporate property rights. It is significant for the state-owned firms, while for non-state-owned firms, there is no evidence supporting the existence of the mediating effect of ETR despite ERG still having a significant direct-impact on FP. Based on these findings, we discuss the policy suggestion to optimize the impact of environmental regulation policies in terms of incentivizing the green development of polluting firms.

RESUMEN

Purpose: Drawing on the motivation theory, this study investigated the effect and consequences of personal motivation and innovative climate on innovative behavior among university students in mainland China. The study also examined whether the effect of personal motivation and innovative climate on Chinese university students' innovative behavior is heterogeneous between disciplines and place of residence. Methods: A quantitative study was conducted to test the hypotheses. Data were collected from 245 undergraduate students at Chinese universities with paper-based questionnaires. Self-report scales were used to measure levels of personal motivation, innovative climate, and innovative behaviors. A confirmatory factor analysis was used to test the scale and questionnaire's reliability and validity. The logistic model was applied to analyze the data and test the hypotheses. Results: Personal motivation and innovative climate have significant effects on Chinese university students' innovative behavior. The effect of personal motivation and innovative climate on students' innovative behavior is heterogeneous between disciplines and place of residence. Further, extrinsic motivation serves as a positive incentive. Mentor support, good academic climate, and knowledge sharing affect students' innovative behavior positively. However, insufficient guaranteed resources has a significant negative influence. The data demonstrated no statistically significant difference between intrinsic motivation and students' innovative behavior. Conclusion: This study contributes to the empirical literature on mechanisms that influence innovative behavior by testing the relation between personal motivation, innovative climate, and innovative behavior on the part of Chinese university students. In addition, these findings also provide evidence for ways to improve university students' innovative consciousness and innovative ability, as well as universities' management practice of innovative education.

RESUMEN

Background: Fuzheng Yiliu decoction (FZYLD), a Chinese formula consisting of four herbs, can be clinically used as an adjuvant therapy after surgery or palliative treatment for advanced liver cancer. Methods: This study identified the endogenous and exogenous metabolites of FZYLD in rat serum to characterize the underlying mechanism of its antitumor activity, as well as relieving cancer-related weakness. An orthotopic transplantation rat model of HepG2 cells was established and administered with FZYLD by gastric perfusion for 14 days. Cardiopulmonary function and tail suspension test were used to evaluate the bodily weakness of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) rats. Tumor weight and size were measured to calculate inhibition ratios. Serum of different concentrations of FZYLD was used to culture the 2-[N-(7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1, 3-diaxol-4-yl) amino]-2-deoxyglucose-labeled HepG2 cells. IC50 value was measured using MTT assay. Endogenous and exogenous metabolites in rat serum were detected using nuclear magnetic resonance or LC-MS/MS spectroscopy. Results: FZYLD improved cardiopulmonary function, decreased immobility time in tail suspension test, and yielded tumor inhibition ratios of up to 27%. Serum endogenous markers, such as lipoproteins (high- and low-density lipoproteins), glucose, and valine, and lactic acid metabolic disturbance were recovered, to some extent, in HCC rats. Exogenous metabolites, diosgenin, apigenin-7-O-acetyl-ß-D-glucoside, calycosin-7-glucoside, calycosin, ganoderic-acid-A, formononetin, and methylnissolin, became detectable in the blood. FZYLD-containing serum substantially inhibited the proliferation of HepG2-cells. IC50 value was found to be 24.31%. Further, we confirmed that FZYLD could revert energy and lipid metabolism disorders and that its constituents could be bioactive components that induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Conclusion: The present study explained the mechanism of the effect of FZYLD on body empty, fatigue, and low immunity in patients with cancer, offering an efficient way for research of natural compounds in traditional Chinese medicine.

RESUMEN

This paper uses data from job-recruiting platforms to study the distribution patterns and migration destination choices of a skilled internal migrant population. We find that, in most first-tier cities and most emerging second-tier cities, more than half of the skilled jobseekers do not hold local household registration. The most important finding of this paper is the heterogeneity of attributes prioritizations between intra- and inter- provincial migrants. Intra-provincial skilled migrants put more value on employment opportunities than on amenity attributes, while their inter-provincial counterparts prioritize amenity over employment aspects.

RESUMEN

A traditional Chinese medicine formula (Fuzheng Yiliu decoction; FZYLD) has been used for many years in clinical settings to cure liver tumors; however, no empirical research has reported its chemical composition. In this paper, 21 chief constituents were distinguished from FZYLD using high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry fingerprint analysis. Molecular docking studies for B-cell lymphoma-extra large (Bcl-XL), interleukin (IL)-2, and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) were bound to evaluate their anticancer activities. 7 compounds showed potential Bcl-XL high affinity binding with a dissociate constant (Kd) < 10 µM; 7 compounds bound with IL-2 had a Kd < 10 µM; and 11 compounds showed potential TNF-α inhibition with a Kd < 10 µM. Moreover, 11 compounds showed better anticancer activity toward human HepG2 (hepatoma) cancer cell lines with IC50 values < 100 µM in vitro. The killings effects of natural killer cells can be activated by FZYLD on HepG2 cells and regulate the immune response through modulating IL-2 and TNF-α expression in vivo. In the "Fuzheng" Chinese medicine formula, many substances participate in the complex regulation of the immune network to execute the anti-tumor effect. The combination approach of chromatographic fingerprint and computer virtual docking used to explore active chemical matter of traditional Chinese medicine is extremely valuable.

RESUMEN

Pseudostellaria heterophylla (Miq.) Pax is one of the most widespread herbal and healthcare products in China. Extensive clinical use has shown that it has functions which "strengthens qi and generates saliva, moistens the lung and relieves cough". The ethyl acetate fraction extracted from the roots of the plant Pseudostellaria heterophylla exhibited a dose-dependent antitussive effect between 100 to 500 mg/kg. At a dose of 400 mg/kg, the ethyl acetate fraction treatment markedly prolonged the cough latent period and reduced the number of coughs in a guinea pig model induced by citric acid. Fall lung airway resistance, rise in dynamic lung compliance, decreased serum levels of IL-8, GM-CSF, TNF-α, and ET-1 in rat model of stable phase chronic obstructive pulmonary disease induced by cigarette smoke exposure were also observed. These results suggest that ethyl acetate fraction has antitussive activity related to its improvement in lung function via attenuation of airway inflammation by adjustment of multi-cytokine levels.

RESUMEN

Quantitatively setting ecological compensation criterion is a focus and a difficulty in establishing ecological compensation mechanism. Based on the 1987-2007 meteorological data and the 2007 social survey data of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Region, the supply curves of grassland ecosystem services in the Region were simulated by the methods of minimum-data, social survey, and precipitation storage estimation. The opportunity cost of implementing ecological compensation in the Region in 2007 was 503.6 yuan x hm(-2), per unit water conservation volume supplied by grassland ecosystem was 1110.7 m3 x hm(-2), and ecological compensation criterion was 788.6 yuan x hm(-2). The total water conservation volume supplied by grassland ecosystem was 2.56 x 10(9) m3.
