RESUMEN
As discussões no campo da saúde, especificamente da saúde do trabalhador, têm mostrado cada vez mais a importância da discussão dos fatores relacionados ao exercício da atividade laboral e produção de saúde/sofrimento. E quando pensamos no profissional militar, esta questão fica ainda mais preocupante, já que este trabalho lida constantemente com a vulnerabilidade, o risco e a morte; além das peculiaridades institucionais das organizações militares. Verifica-se, portanto a importância de se ter um panorama das pesquisas no Brasil que possa suscitar uma maior apropriação sobre esta área e mais ações em saúde voltadas para este público-alvo. A presente pesquisa objetiva explorar o panorama brasileiro de pesquisas em saúde mental com os profissionais militares. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa na literatura utilizando os descritores "Saúde mental and Militar" e "Transtorno mental and Militar" nas bases de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e Scientific Electronic Library Online, tendo como critérios de inclusão: Texto completo publicado em artigo, em português, pesquisa empírica, tendo como público alvo militares. Partindo-se dos resultados encontrados, verificou-se que as pesquisas no campo da saúde mental relacionadas à população militar ainda é recente. Como conclusão identificou-se a necessidade de produção científica com especial atenção às pesquisas epidemiológicas que possam delinear o perfil deste público e os índices de saúde mental.
The discussions in the field of health, specifically the health worker, have increasingly shown the importance of the discussion of the factors related to the exercise of labor activity and production of health / pain. And when we think of the military professional, this question becomes even more worrisome, since this type of work constantly dealing with vulnerability, risk and death; beyond the institutional peculiarities of military organizations. There is, therefore, the importance of having an overview of research in Brazil that may raise greater ownership over this area and more public health efforts aimed at this target group. To explore the Brazilian panorama of research on mental health in the military professionals. We conducted an integrative review of the literature using the key words "and Military Mental Health" and "Mental Disorder and Military" in the databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and using as criteria inclusion: Publication type Article, text in Portuguese, full text, Empirical Research and Study done with the military, excluding subsequently repeated items, bringing the total to 09 articles retrieved and read. Based on the results, we note that research in the field of mental health with the military population are few and recent, yet there regions that have research with this audience, requiring scientific production with special attention to research that have an epidemic that can outline the profile of this audience and indices of mental health. It is noteworthy that within the sample does Airmen surveys of firefighters, police officers and federal were found.
