RESUMEN

Wheat aging plays an important role in assessing storage wheat quality and its subsequent processing purposes. The conventional detection methods for wheat aging are mainly involved in chemical techniques, which are time-consuming as well as waste part of wheat samples for each detection. Although some physical detection methods have obtained gratifying results, it is extremely hard to expand their application fields but to stay in the theory stage. For this reason, a novel nondestructive detection model for wheat aging based on the delayed luminescence (DL) has been proposed in this paper. Specifically, after collecting enough sample data, we first took advantage of certain hyperbolic function to fit DL signal, and then used four parameters of the hyperbolic function to feature the decay trend of the DL signal. Secondly, in order to better feature the DL signal, we extracted other six features together with above four features to form the input feature vector. Finally, as the bidirectional long short-term memory (Bi-LSTM) network lacked error-correcting performance, the Bi-LSTM network based on Walsh coding (Walsh-Bi-LSTM) mechanism was proposed to establish the detection model, which made the detection model have the error-correcting performance by reasonably splitting the multi-classification target task. Shown by experimental results, the newly proposed wheat aging detection model is able to achieve 94.00% accuracy in the testing dataset, which can be used as a green and nondestructive method to timely reflect wheat aging states.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVES@#To investigate the risk factors for diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) in children/adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) and to establish a model for predicting the risk of DKA.@*METHODS@#A retrospective analysis was performed on 217 children/adolescents with T1DM who were admitted to General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from January 2018 to December 2021. Among the 217 children/adolescents,169 cases with DKA were included as the DKA group and 48 cases without DKA were included as the non-DKA group. The risk factors for DKA in the children/adolescents with T1DM were analyzed, and a nomogram model was established for predicting the risk of DKA in children/adolescents with T1DM.@*RESULTS@#For the 217 children/adolescents with T1DM, the incidence rate of DKA was 77.9% (169/217). The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that high levels of random blood glucose, hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), blood ketone body, and triglyceride on admission were closely associated with the development of DKA in the children/adolescents with T1DM (OR=1.156, 3.2031015, 20.131, and 9.519 respectively; P<0.05). The nomogram prediction model had a C-statistic of 0.95, with a mean absolute error of 0.004 between the risk of DKA predicted by the nomogram model and the actual risk of DKA, indicating that the model had a good overall prediction ability.@*CONCLUSIONS@#High levels of random blood glucose, HbA1c, blood ketone body, and triglyceride on admission are closely associated with the development of DKA in children/adolescents with T1DM, and targeted intervention measures should be developed to reduce the risk of DKA.

RESUMEN

Background: Lateral lymph node (LLN) metastases (LLNM) are often associated with poor prognosis. This study aimed to investigate the prognostic significance and postoperative recurrence pattern in rectal cancer patients with LLNM after LLN dissection (LLND). Materials and Methods: This is a multicenter retrospective case-control study where propensity score-matched (PSM) analysis was introduced. From January 2012 to December 2019, 259 patients with clinical suspicion of LLNM who underwent LLND without neoadjuvant therapy were included in the study. They were divided into the negative (n = 197) and positive (n = 62) LLN groups. Primary endpoints were 3-year recurrence-free survival (RFS), local recurrence-free survival (LRFS), and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS). Results: After PSM, the DMFS rate in the positive LLN group was significantly worse (67.9 vs. 52.5%, P = 0.012). Pathological LLNM (HR, 3.07; 95% CI, 1.55-6.05; P = 0.001) were independent prognostic factors for DMFS. Patients in the positive LLN group had a higher proportion of distant metastases in all recurrence patterns (92.3% vs 82.6%). Among patients with LLN metastasis, metastases to the common iliac and external iliac arteries were the independent prognostic factor for DMFS (HR: 2.85; 95% CI, 1.31-4.67; P = 0.042). No significant different was observed for prognosis between patients with metastases to the obturator or internal iliac vessels and patients with a N2b stage. Conclusion: Distant metastasis is the main cause of treatment failure after LLND in patients with LLNM. Because of the low completion rate of adjuvant chemotherapy, preoperative chemotherapy or total neoadjuvant therapy may be considered before LLND. In addition, patients with metastasis to external iliac and common iliac vessels have an extremely poor prognosis, and systemic chemotherapy instead of LLND should be recommended.

RESUMEN

Many state-owned enterprises have mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with private enterprises, which has caused private enterprises to worry about their living space being squeezed. Based on 572 data records about equity transfers of Chinese listed companies extracted from CSMAR4.0 from 2013 to 2020, this paper categorized ownership structures into three categories: privatization of state-owned enterprises (Category 1), state-owned enterprises merging private enterprises (Category 2), and state-owned enterprises merging state-owned enterprises (Category 3). The categorical regression of ex-ante equity transfer motivation revealed that the motives for Category 1 conformed to the phenomenon of the "pretty girl gets married first" and "embezzlement view." Category In contrast, the motives for Category 2 conformed to the "fiscal revenue view." The categorical regression of ex-post equity transfer motivation showed that all three types significantly improved various efficiencies and represented an optimal allocation of resources. Moreover, it was revealed that the transfer of equity to state-owned enterprises by inefficient private firms in Category 2 also significantly improved enterprise efficiency. Thus, it can be considered as a rational behavior of market selection and never squeezed the space crowding. Further analysis showed that the efficiency improvement is due to the symbiotic development relationship rather than the antagonistic relationship between heterogeneous shareholders. Therefore, it is suggested to initiate market-oriented reform by actively developing ownership mixed-ownership economy and adhering to the "two unwavering" basic economic system.

RESUMEN

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a genetic heterogeneous disease in which primordial and juvenile myeloid cells proliferate or accumulate abnormally in bone marrow, peripheral blood and other tissues, resulting in damage to normal hematopoietic function. Studies have shown that about 30% of AML patients have FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3), FLT3 abnormal regulation is closely related to the occurrence and development of AML. At present, FLT3 has become an important target for developing small molecular targeted drugs. Currently, a variety of FLT3 inhibitors and FLT3 degraders have been developed targeting FLT3, and some compounds have exhibited good anti-AML activity. This article summarizes and sorts out the current mainstream drugs for AML therapeutic targeting FLT3, in order to provide a reference for the development and design of AML drugs.

RESUMEN

It is widely known that mold is one of important indices in assessing the quality of stored wheat. First, mold will decrease the quality of wheat kernels; the wheat kernels infected by mold can produce secondary metabolites, such as aflatoxins, ochratoxin A, zearalenone, fumonisins and so on. Second, the mycotoxins metabolized by mycetes are extremely harmful to humans; once the food or feed is made of by those wheat kernels infected by mold, it will cause serious health problems on human beings as well as animals. Therefore, the effective and accurate detection of wheat mold is vitally important to evaluate the storage and subsequent processing quality of wheat kernels. However, traditional methods for detecting wheat mold mainly rely on biochemical methods, which always involve complex and long pretreatment processes, and waste part of wheat samples for each detection. In view of this, this paper proposes a type of eco-friendly and nondestructive wheat mold detection method based on ultra weak luminescence. The specific implementation process is as follows: firstly, ultra weak luminescence signals of the healthy and the moldy wheat subsamples are measured by a photon analyzer; secondly, the approximate entropy and multiscale approximate entropy are introduced as the main classification features separately; finally, the detection model has been established based on the support vector machine in order to classify two types of wheat subsamples. The receiver operating characteristic curve of the newly established detection model shows that the highest classification accuracy rate can reach 93.1%, which illustrates that our proposed detection model is feasible and promising for detecting wheat mold.

RESUMEN

【Objective】 To investigate the association of normal weight obesity (NWO) with carotid atherosclerosis (CAS) and peripheral arterial stiffness (PAS) in persons received physical examination. 【Methods】 A total of 1 894 people with normal BMI (18.5-23.9 kg/m2) were consecutively enrolled for this study. All these people had completed body fat measurement, carotid artery ultrasound examination and peripheral arterial stiffness detection. Then they were divided into control group, CAS group, PAS group, and CAS + PAS group according to the test results mentioned above. Clinical data were compared between different groups to assess the baseline situation. Besides, Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was performed to determine independent risk factors for atherosclerosis. 【Results】 The proportion of NWO in CAS group, PAS group, and CAS + PAS group was significantly higher than that in normal group (P<0.05). Univariate analysis results showed that NWO was correlated with greater risks of both CAS and PAS (P<0.05). However, multiple factors analysis suggested that NWO was not associated with PAS, but with CAS (OR=1.286, 95% CI: 1.032-1.603, P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 NWO is closely related to the occurrence of CAS and may be an independent risk factor for CAS. Attention should be paid to the body fat mass of the NWO population. Early intervention is needed to prevent the occurrence of CAS in these people.

RESUMEN

【Objective】 To investigate the inhibitory effect of magnesium citrate (MgCit) on hyperphosphorus-induced VSMCs calcification and its mechanisms. 【Methods】 VSMCs were divided into the following groups: normal control group, high-phosphorus group, low-dose MgCit group, high-dose MgCit group and high-dose MgCit+NPS2143 (calcium-sensitive receptor inhibitor) group. Alizarin red staining was used for semi-quantitative analysis of VSMCs calcification and the calcium content in VSMCs was detected by the commercial kit. The osteogenic transdifferentiation parameters including alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, as well as mRNA and protein levels of smooth muscle 22α (SM22α), runt-related transcription factor 2 (RUNX2) and bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP2), were detected in each group. 【Results】 Compared with those in the control group, the calcium content of VSMCs in the model group was increased, ALP activity, and the mRNA and protein expressions of RUNX2 and BMP2 were increased, and the mRNA expression of SM22α was decreased (P<0.05). MgCit could reduce VSMCs calcification, decrease ALP activity, decrease mRNA and protein levels of RUNX2 and BMP2, and increase mRNA levels of SM22α induced by high-phosphorous (P<0.05). The above effects of MgCit were reduced when NPS2143 was administered simultaneously (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 MgCit can reduce VSMCs calcification and osteogenic transdifferentiation induced by high phosphorus through activating of CaSR.

RESUMEN

【Objective】 To explore the correlation between serum trace elements and systolic and diastolic blood pressure in healthy population and patients with hypertension. 【Methods】 The health examination data of the subjects from our hospital from September 2018 to May 2021 were selected. They consisted of 3430 healthy people with no history of chronic diseases and 216 patients with hypertension previously diagnosed. We measured the levels of serum zinc, iron, calcium, magnesium, lead, copper and cadmium and analyzed their correlation with systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP). 【Results】 The incidence of low zinc (9.5%) and hypomagnesemia (1.8%) was relatively low, while hypomagnesemia (27.8%) was relatively common in the healthy population. Logistic regression analysis showed that age, BMI and serum albumin were associated with increased SBP and DBP. Fasting blood glucose (OR=1.095, 95% CI: 1.007-1.191) and blood lead (OR=1.006, 95% CI: 1.000-1.012) were risk factors for SBP. Serum total cholesterol (OR=1.244, 95% CI: 1.095-1.412), serum iron (OR=1.275, 95% CI: 1.114-1.460) and blood lead (OR=1.010, 95% CI: 1.004-1.015) were risk factors, while serum magnesium (OR=0.488, 95% CI: 0.266-0.894) acted as a protective factor for DBP. After adjusting for age, gender, BMI, waist-hip ratio, and smoking history, there was no significant difference in serum trace element levels between the hypertension and healthy control groups. 【Conclusion】 SBP is correlated with serum lead, while DBP is positively correlated with serum iron and lead, but negatively correlated with serum magnesium in normal healthy population. There was no significant difference in serum trace element content between hypertensive patients and healthy control group, but the conclusion still needs to be further verified.

RESUMEN

【Objective】 To investigate the negative emotions among university students during home quarantine under the epidemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) so as to provide scientific basis for psychological counseling. 【Methods】 We conducted an online questionnaire survey to collect 405 undergraduates’ and postgraduates’ DASS-21 scale scores and responses to epidemic prevention knowledge, and analyzed the university students’ negative emotions during the epidemic and influencing factors. 【Results】 Of the 405 students surveyed, 178 individuals (44.0%) had depression, 171(42.2%) felt anxious, and 119(29.4%) felt stressed. Individuals in the DASS21+ group spent much time on entertainment on the cell phone daily than those in the DASS21- group (P<0.001), and the degree of impact by COVID-19 on daily life was significantly higher (P<0.001). Correlation analysis showed that entertainment time on the cell phone, the severity of COVID-19, and the impact of the epidemic were positively related to DASS-21 scores, with correlation coefficients of 0.231, 0.143 and 0.259, respectively (all P<0.01). Binary logistic regression analysis found that mobile entertainment time for over 5 hours per day (OR=3.370, 95% CI: 1.369-8.294, P=0.008) was a risk factor for negative emotions during quarantine at home. 【Conclusion】 During quarantine at home in the epidemic of COVID-19, nearly half of university students are prone to breed negative emotions, like depression, anxiety or stress, which may be related to long-term mobile phone entertainment.

RESUMEN

The recycling of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is the most attractive method for PET waste management because it not only decreases the load on landfill space, but also provides opportunities for reducing the use of raw petrochemical products. Therefore, in this investigation, neopentyl glycol is used for alcoholysis of waste PET, and glycolyzed PET product was applied for preparation of the waterborne alkyd resin. Furthermore, the waterborne alkyd-amino baking coatings were prepared from the waterborne alkyd based on glycolyzed waste PET and melamine formaldehyde resin and applied on tinplate. The waterborne alkyd-amino resin films showed excellent adhesion, balanced hardness and flexibility, high gloss and outstanding chemical resistance except for alkali resistance owing to hydrolysis of ester bonds.

RESUMEN

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by a novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), is a highly contagious disease. It firstly appeared in Wuhan, Hubei province of China in December 2019. During the next two months, it moved rapidly throughout China and spread to multiple countries through infected persons travelling by air. Most of the infected patients have mild symptoms including fever, fatigue and cough. But in severe cases, patients can progress rapidly and develop to the acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, metabolic acidosis and coagulopathy. The new coronavirus was reported to spread via droplets, contact and natural aerosols from human-to-human. Therefore, high-risk aerosol-producing procedures such as endotracheal intubation may put the anesthesiologists at high risk of nosocomial infections. In fact, SARS-CoV-2 infection of anesthesiologists after endotracheal intubation for confirmed COVID-19 patients have been reported in hospitals in Wuhan. The expert panel of airway management in Chinese Society of Anaesthesiology has deliberated and drafted this recommendation, by which we hope to guide the performance of endotracheal intubation by frontline anesthesiologists and critical care physicians. During the airway management, enhanced droplet/airborne PPE should be applied to the health care providers. A good airway assessment before airway intervention is of vital importance. For patients with normal airway, awake intubation should be avoided and modified rapid sequence induction is strongly recommended. Sufficient muscle relaxant should be assured before intubation. For patients with difficult airway, good preparation of airway devices and detailed intubation plans should be made.

RESUMEN

Objective: To investigate if microRNA (miR) -23a knockdown could attenuate angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ) induced cardiac hypertrophy by activating phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten(PTEN) and AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK) pathway. Methods: Rat H9c2 cells were cultured in DMEM high glucose medium and put in 5% CO(2) incubator at 37 ℃(normal group). After 48 hours of culture, H9c2 cells were stimulated with 10 nmol/L AngⅡ to establish cell hypertrophy model (AngⅡgroup). The H9c2 cells were inoculated in a 6-well cell culture plate and cultured in an incubator at 37 ℃. When the confluence degree of cell growth was about 70%, the cells were transfected with different reagents, and 24 hours after transfection, 10 nmol/L AngⅡ was used to interfere with the cells. The H9c2 cells were divided into different groups according to the reagents, namely AngⅡ+anti-miR group(transfected with miR-23a inhibitor), Ang Ⅱ+NC group(transfected with miR-23a inhibitor negative control), Ang Ⅱ+anti-miR+si-PTEN group(cotransfected with miR-23a inhibitor and PTEN small interference RNA(siRNA)), and AngⅡ+anti-miR+si-NC group(cotransfected with miR-23a inhibitor and PTEN siRNA negative control). The surface area of single cell was measured by Image J software. The mRNA expression levels of α-actin 1 (ACTA1) and β-myosin heavy chain (β-MHC) and miR-23a were detected by quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR). The expression levels of PTEN and AMPK signal pathway related proteins were detected by Western blot. In order to verify whether miR-23a targets PTEN gene, double luciferase reporter gene experiment was performed. The luciferase reporter gene vector recombinant plasmids of wild type pGL-WT-PTEN and mutant pGL-MUT-PTEN were constructed and prepared after normal sequencing. H9c2 cells was inoculated into 24-well cell culture plate and cultured overnight in 37 ℃ incubator. The cells were co-transfected with miR-23a mimic or miR-23a mimic negative control and wild type or mutant reporter gene recombinant plasmid. Forty-eight hours after transfection, firefly luciferase activity and sea kidney luciferase activity were measured, and the ratio of them was recorded as relative luciferase activity. Results: Compared with the normal group, the cell surface area, the mRNA expression levels of ACTA1, β-MHC and miR-23a were significantly higher, while the protein expression levels of PTEN and p-AMPK were significantly lower in the Ang Ⅱ group(all P<0.05). The results of double luciferase reporter gene assay showed that the relative luciferase activity of cells co-transfected with miR-23a mimic and wild-type reporter gene recombinant plasmid was lower than that of miR-23a mimic negative control (P<0.05), and PTEN served as the target gene of miR-23a. In AngⅡ+anti-miR group the mRNA expression levels of miR-23a, ACTA1 and β-MHC were lower, and the cell surface area was smaller, while the protein expression levels of PTEN and p-AMPK were higher than that in AngⅡ group and AngⅡ+NC group(all P<0.05). Compared with AngⅡ+anti-miR group, the cell surface area was bigger, the expression of ACTA1 and β-MHC mRNA was up-regulated, and the protein expression levels of PTEN and p-AMPK were down-regulated in Ang Ⅱ+anti-miR+si-PTEN group(all P<0.05). Conclusion: Inhibition of miR-23a can attenuate Ang Ⅱ-induced hypertrophy in H9c2 cells through targeting PTEN and activating AMPK signaling pathway.

RESUMEN

Increasing evidence suggests that stress may induce changes in hair color, with the underlying mechanism incompletely understood. In this study, female C57BL/6 mice subjected to electric foot shock combined with restraint stress were used to build chronic stress mouse model. The melanin contents and tyrosinase activity were measured in mouse skin and B16F10 melanoma cells. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to determine the content of tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), interleukin- 1β (IL-1β) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the mouse skin. The content of nuclear factor κB (NFκB)/p65 subunit in mouse skins was valued by immunofluorescence staining. The results demonstrated that under chronic stress, the fur color turned from dark to brown in C57BL/6 mice due to the decrease of follicle melanocytes and tyrosinase activity in C57BL/6 mouse skin. Simultaneously, inflammatory responses in skins were detected as shown by increased NFκB activity and TNF-α expression in stressed mouse skin. In cultured B16F10 melanoma cells, TNF-α reduced the melanogenesis and tyrosinase activity in a dose-dependent manner. These findings indicate that chronic stress induces fur color change by decreasing follicle melanocytes and tyrosinase activity in female C57BL/6 mice, and TNF-α may play an important role in stress-induced hair color change.

RESUMEN

A novel coronavirus that emerged in late 2019 rapidly spread around the world. Most severe cases need endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation, and some mild cases may need emergent surgery under general anesthesia. The novel coronavirus was reported to transmit via droplets, contact and natural aerosols from human to human. Therefore, aerosol-producing procedures such as endotracheal intubation and airway suction may put the healthcare providers at high risk of nosocomial infection. Based on recently published articles, this review provides detailed feasible recommendations for primary anesthesiologists on infection prevention in operating room during COVID-19 outbreak.

RESUMEN

To evaluate the value of oxycodone hydrochloride for postoperative pain management in patients undergoing patient-controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA). The medical records on postoperative pain management in our department from January 1 to June 30,2018,were retrospectively analyzed.Totally 136 patients were assigned into oxycodone, sufentanil,or morphine groups according to the opioid used in the PCIA.Patients were assessed for postoperative pain severity(scored with NRS)and adverse reactions 24,36,and 48 hours after surgery. The area under curve(AUC)was calculated. The score of pain at exercise was significantly lower in the oxycodone group(2.2±2.4)than in the sufentanil group(3.4±2.1)(=0.305,=0.0126)or the morphine group(3.4±1.7)(=0.104,=0.0277)36 hours after surgery.AUC at rest was significantly lower in the oxycodone and morphine groups than in the sufentanil group(29.00,27.00,and 40.01,respectively);in contrast,AUC at exercise was significantly lower in the oxycodone group(63.17)than in the sufentanil and morphine groups(82.00 and 80.93,respectively).The consumption of opioids was significantly higher in the sufentanil group[(37.2±16.1),(46.1±24.3),(64.4±33.4)mg]than in the oxycodone group[(20.4±14.8)(=3.571,=0.001),(24.2±16.1)(=4.63,<0.0001),(34.4±25.1)mg(=6.409,<0.0001)]or the morphine group[(16.6±11.7)(=4.233,<0.0001),(20.5±14.1)(=5.250,<0.0001),(28.8±19.0)mg(=7.354,<0.0001)]24,36,48 hours after surgery. The oxycodone group experienced less vomiting(=11.360,=0.003)and early termination of PCIA(=7.914,=0.019)compared with the other two groups. Oxycodone can be used for postoperative PCIA.It can alleviate a variety of postoperative pain, with superior analgesic efficiency and safety to sufentanil and morphine.

RESUMEN

Emodin is a common Chinese medicine compound with anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-oxidant and lipid-lowering effects. Modern studies have found that emodin activates adenylate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) signaling molecules and regulates transcriptional factors and biological functions of relevant pathways. Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is a chronic liver disease with a high incidence in China. With the global prevalence of obesity and metabolic syndrome, the development of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is closely related to the expression of the metabolism-related signal molecule AMPK. AMPK is a key enzyme in glycolipid metabolism that can involve different stages of NAFLD development to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) by regulating energy metabolism in the body. In recent years, many studies have suggested that the activation of AMPK signaling molecules is related to the function realization of emodin, and lipid synthesis, fatty acid oxidation, insulin sensitivity and mitochondrial function-related transcription factors affected by AMPK downstream signaling molecules and other biological effects can be interacted with each other. The detailed mechanism of action associated with AMPK activation provides new thought about the treatment of NAFLD by emodin. This paper mainly summarizes the research progress of emodin by participating in the various stages of NAFLD by AMPK-related signaling pathways through literature retrieval and comprehensive analysis. It lays a foundation for further research on the therapeutic effect and mechanism of emodin on NAFLD.
