RESUMEN

In 2014, the first three comparisons of activity measurements of (18)F were carried out at the VNIIM, NPL and the ENEA-INMRI using the BIPM's Transfer Instrument of the International Reference System. The transfer instrument and the NMIs primary measurement methods are briefly described. The degrees of equivalence with the key comparison reference value defined in the frame of the corresponding SIR comparison have been evaluated. World-wide consistency of activity measurements of (18)F is demonstrated.

RESUMEN

Three examples of bilateral cooperation connected with trading of radionuclide products and radioecological monitoring, are discussed. The example in the field of trading is related to the shipment of Russian sources with a high specific activity of 60Co applied for radiation therapeutics to the UK. The examples in the field of radioecological monitoring concern the establishment of equivalence between the 235U reference standards used in Russia and the USA to classify SNM monitors and ensure radiation safety at salvage of the "Kursk" nuclear-powered submarine. The works accomplished are interpreted in the sense of interaction between the NMIs relative to the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) ideology. It is suggested to coordinate closely the metrological and applied aspects of the MRA when planning the key comparisons and actualizing the CMC Tables.

RESUMEN

The design and production techniques of a gamma-ray spectrometric source of 226Ra in equilibrium with its daughter decay products have been developed. The radon emanation coefficient of the source did not exceed 0.1%. The 226Ra activity in the gamma-ray spectrometric source was measured relative to that in an alpha-particle spectrometric source by comparison of the intensities of the main gamma rays using a semiconductor gamma-ray spectrometer. The total uncertainty of the activity measurement results was 0.5% for a coverage factor of k = 2.
