RESUMEN

We have investigated possibility of the use of automatic systems for controlling arterial pressure in a specific occupational group - train\'s operators. This method is based on measurement and analysis of parameters of arterial pressure and pulse during pre-work (pre-haul) medical examinations of train\'s operators with subsequent entering of these results in computer data base. It allows to realize detection and registration of all operators with hypertension. The data obtained also show that the use of automated system of pre-work examination facilitates lowering of blood pressure levels.

RESUMEN

Variation of fructose 2,6-bisphosphate (F-2,6-P2) content in the peripheral blood lymphocytes of patients with diabetes mellitus (type II) was investigated. The 2.5-fold increase of F-2,6-P2 level compared with to the control group was observed in untreated patients with early stage of the disease. In patients using of peroral antidiabetic drugs that corrected diabetes F-2,6-P2 level was approached to the normal one. At the same time F-2,6-P2 content decreases in patients with severe (noncorrected) diabetes mellitus. The possible mechanisms of regulation of lymphocyte F-2,6-P2 concentration in normal conditions and diabetes mellitus are discussed.

RESUMEN

The influence of oral inulin administration on glucose and fructose content in blood, glucose and ketone bodies in urine, and fructose-2,6-diphosphate content in liver was investigated in rats with streptozotocin diabetes. Short-term administration (during 5-6 days) of 0.5% inulin solution caused three-fold increase of blood fructose compared with control, normalisation of blood glucose and disappearance of glucose- and ketoneuria. The level of fructose-2,6-di-phosphate in liver increased to the control level. Inulin administration during 12 days caused five-fold increase of blood fructose compares with control, glucose level increased up to the level of uncurred diabetes (22 mmol/1), glucose- and ketoneuria appeared. The content of fructose-2,6-diphosphate in the liver decreased to diabetic level.

RESUMEN

The article studies biochemical processes which occur in man's organism after the influence of ionizing radiation. The authors thoroughly describe the mechanisms of radioactively induced free radical reactions, radiation injuries of membranes, post-radiation disorders in cellular energy supply and cellular cyclatic system.

RESUMEN

Xanthine oxidase activity in thymocytes was studied at different time intervals after X-irradiation with doses of 0.5, 2 and 8 Gy. It was shown that 3 h and later after irradiation, dehydrogenase activity of the enzyme was converted into oxidase one. In the case of arresting the proteolysis by the effect of low doses (up to 0.5 Gy) and at early times the possibility of conversion of the enzyme into the dehydrogenase form was retained. The hyperactivity of the oxidase form of xanthine oxidase was probably a factor of expressing the proteolysis response and cell lysis.
