[Autonomic status and neurohumoral regulation in patients with refractory tachyarrhythmia]. / Vegetativnyi status i neirogumoral'naia reguliatsiia u bol'nykh s refraktornoi takhiaritmiei.

Results are submitted of vegetative testing as well as of studying the 24.h excretion of catecholamines, activity of cholinesterase, the levels of thyroxin, triiodothyronine and hydrocortisone in blood plasma of 120 patients with tachyarrhythmias that do not respond to antiarrhythmic drug preparations. The functional state of the vegetative nervous system in the attack-free period in the above patients was mostly determined by hyperfunction of its sympathetic subdivision in the presence of inadequate vegetative reactivity, frequently excessive, occasionally weakened, and instability of adrenergic and cholinergic influences. It is suggested that augmented secretion of the hormones studied might be of compensatory nature.

[The optimization of the anti-arrhythmia effect of kordaron and novocainamide by laser biostimulation therapy in a combined program for treating refractory tachyarrhythmias]. / Optimizatsiia protivoaritmicheskogo éffekta kordarona i novokainamida lazernoi biostimuliatsionnoi terapiei v kompleksnoi programme lecheniia refrakternykh takhiaritmii.

Antiarrhythmic action of He-Ne laser in combination with novocainamid and cordaron has been tried in the framework of the program on combined treatment of tachyarrhythmia. He-Ne laser irradiation has been found to optimize in refractory patients the effect of novocainamid which arrests the paroxysms and of cordarone which prevents paroxysms of atrial tachycardia, fibrillation, flutter.

[The effect of quantum hemotherapy on cellular and humoral immunity and on erythrocyte morphology in patients with ischemic heart disease]. / Vliianie kvantovoi gemoterapii na sostoianie kletochnogo i gumoral'nogo immuniteta i morfologiiu éritrotsitov u bol'nykh ishemicheskoi bolezn'iu serdtsa.

A study is presented of the effect of reinfusions of ultraviolet-irradiated autologous blood on the number of lymphocytes, titer of circulating immune complexes and theophylline-sensitive cells, number of immunoglobulins A, G and M, number and form of erythrocytes in 30 patients with stable and progressive exertion stenocardia. Thirty control patients were treated with nitrates, calcium antagonists and acetylsalicylic acid. It was established that in patients with stenocardia quantum hemotherapy produces an immunocorrective action reduces the titer of circulating immune complexes, the content of T-lymphocytes, the number of immunoglobulins A and G, normalizes the morphological and functional activity of erythrocytes. Use of this method in the treatment of ischemic heart disease is pathogenetically justified and prevents development of myocardial infarction.

[Functional state of the heart in ventricular tachycardia as evidenced by radionuclide ventriculography]. / Funktsional'noe sostoianie serdtsa pri zheludochkovoi takhikardii po dannym radionuklidnoi ventrikulografii.

The paper presents the results of examining the structural and functional parameters of the ventricles in 40 patients with ventricular tachycardia by radionuclide ventriculography on the first passage of a radioactivity bolus. Twenty patients had ventricular tachycardia resistant to antiarrhythmic agents. The patients with ventricular tachycardia were found to have systolic and diastolic dysfunction of the both ventricles. Lower pump function and higher volumetric parameters of the left ventricle in patients with refractory ventricular tachycardia concurrent with hyperkinesia of some right ventricular segments and abnormal velocity and time variables can be a criterion for resistance to antiarrhythmic agents in this group of patients.
