RESUMEN

High-efficiency, thermally activated delayed-fluorescence organic light-emitting diodes based on exciplex emitters are demonstrated. The best device, based on a TAPC:DPTPCz emitter, shows a high external quantum efficiency of 15.4%. Strategies for predicting and designing efficient exciplex emitters are also provided. This approach allow prediction and design of efficient exciplex emitters for achieving high-efficiency organic light-emitting diodes, for future use in displays and lighting applications.

RESUMEN

Recently, bipolar host materials have attracted considerable attention because they can achieve balanced charge injection/transport in phosphorescent organic light emitting diodes (PhOLEDs) and consequently obtain excellent device performance. In this work, two bipolar host materials, namely, 3-(4,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-9-phenyl-9H-carbazole (DPTPCz) and 3-(4,6-diphenoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-9-phenyl-9H-carbazole (DPOTPCz), have been designed, synthesized and characterized. With high triplet energy levels of 2.78 and 2.86 eV for DPTPCz and DPOTPCz, respectively, two compounds are considered promising bipolar host materials for PhOLEDs. Blue and green PhOLEDs based on these two new compounds show excellent performances. The phosphorescent devices based on DPTPCz exhibit maximum external quantum efficiencies of 14.4% (for blue device) and 21.2% (for green device), and maintain high efficiencies of 11.9% and 20.0% even at a high luminance of 10,000 cd m(-2).

RESUMEN

The magnetic anisotropy of the whole radula, the major lateral radula teeth, and magnetic material in the major lateral radula teeth of the chiton Acanthochiton rubrolinestus LISCHKE have been studied by a magnetic torque meter and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer. The length and width axes of the teeth are the easily magnetized axes, while the thickness axis is difficult to magnetize. The width and thickness axes of the radula are the easily magnetized axes, and the length axis is difficult to magnetize. The measurement results of the whole radula and the major lateral radula teeth agree well with each other. The magnetic anisotropy of the magnetic material is given as well as a possible distribution of the magnetic material in the major lateral radula teeth.
