RESUMEN

Results obtained during the development of an original device for noninvasive transcutaneous stimulation of the diaphragm using electromagnetic radiation in the terahertz frequency range are presented. The block diagram and design of a terahertz emitter and a controlled current source for its power supply are presented, along with specialized software for selecting and setting the amplitude and time parameters of the stimulating signal.

RESUMEN

The problem of the general introduction of the principles of the pre-epidemic diagnostics of HIV infection was discussed. These principles should be based on the observation of "model" infections (viral hepatitides B, C, D), multipurpose serological monitoring and sociological methods aimed at obtaining the necessary information. The suggestion that the age and sexual structure of HIV-infected patients would be determined by the route of HIV transmission, prevailing on a given territory, including into infection process adolescents and young women and men was made.

RESUMEN

The paper presents the analysis of balloon dilations of the coronary arteries in 18 patients with ischemic heart disease. A multimodality clinical examination of the patients involving provocative tests and echocardiography is recommended to be performed both preoperatively and postoperatively.

RESUMEN

The paper is devoted to the results of investigation of blood rheological features (dynamic blood and plasma viscosity) in 70 breast cancer patients during combined therapy. The basal levels of dynamic blood viscosity indices in these patients were lower by 11.6% than in the control group of healthy women (p less than 0.05). During combined therapy after a course of gamma-beam therapy (in the small fractionation regimen for the 1st group and large fractionation regimen for the 2nd group) a further decrease of blood and plasma viscosity indices was observed, reaching their minimum values on the 14th day after radical mastectomy. In a long-term period of combined therapy (5 years--the 3rd group) dynamic blood and plasma viscosity indices remained below the control values and had no significant differences from the basal values in the 1st and 2nd groups. These shifts in rheological blood features during combined therapy of breast cancer were probably of favourable nature as complications (hypostatic pneumonia, thromboses, necroses of displaces of skin grafts) in the postoperative period were absent.
