RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Osteoporosis is a clinically common metabolic disease, especially in postmenopausal women. Tai Chi might be beneficial in osteoporosis patients. This study will be performed to examine the effects of Tai Chi on bone mineral density of postmenopausal osteoporosis. METHODS: We will search the electronical databases and hand-searching journals or reference lists. The study screening and data extraction will be carried out by 2 investigators independently. The primary outcome is bone mineral density (lumbar spine, Ward's triangle, trochanter, proximal femur, femoral neck, or total hip). Secondary outcomes are pain score, alkaline phosphatase, osteocalcin, and adverse effects. Review Manager V.5.3 software will be used to compute the data. RESULTS: The results of the study will provide a reliable evidence to assess the effects of Tai Chi on bone mineral density of postmenopausal osteoporosis. CONCLUSION: The conclusion of our systematic review will answer whether Tai Chi is an effective intervention to improve bone mineral density of postmenopausal osteoporosis.

RESUMEN

INTRODUCTION: Wrist stiffness is a common sequela of distal radial fractures. Manipulation is generally used and effective, but problems exist, such as intense pain, swelling during the process of manipulation and long treatment period. Therefore, a combinative therapeutic strategy is necessary to benefit rehabilitation after distal radius fracture. Shi's Yi-Qi Bu-Shen Tong-Luo decoction (BTD) combined with wrist manipulation has been used in the Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital Huangpu Branch in last few decades. BTD has potential therapeutic effects on rehabilitation after distal radius fracture, which should be evaluated by rigorous clinical trial. METHODS/DESIGN: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial will be conducted to determine the efficiency of BTD in relief of wrist stiffness and pain and function rehabilitation. A total of 80 wrist stiffness patients with or without pain and edema will be enrolled, and treated with wrist manipulation plus BTD or placebo for 4 weeks. The primary outcome measure is the Cooney wrist score. The second outcome measures include pain numerical rating scale, patient rated wrist evaluation, 36-item short form health survey questionnaire, and side effects. DISCUSSION: Although BTD has shown effects on rehabilitation after distal radius fracture in the Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital Huangpu Branch for decades, the universality of this efficacy needs evaluated. The results of this trial will provide a convincing evidence. TRIAL REGISTRATION: ChiCTR2000029260, January 19, 2020.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVETo investigate the role of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signal transduction pathway in chloracne.

METHODSImmunohistochemical technique was used to detect the expression of phosphorylated epidermal growth factor receptor (p-EGFR) and p-MAPK proteins in the epithelium of chloracne group and control group.

RESULTSp-EGFR and p-MAPK was found in all chloracne tissues, whereas no expression of p-EGFR and p-MAPK protein was found in control group. In the skin of chloracne patients, p-EGFR was mainly distributed in the membrane and the cytoplasm, especially in the vicinity of membrane; major positive signal of p-MAPK was in core and serosity.

CONCLUSIONEGFR and MAPK phosphorylation is found in chloracne tissues. MAPK signal transduction pathway is one important molecular mechanism of chloracne.

RESUMEN

AIM: To investigate the mechanism of EA improving the obstruction of inner ear microcirculation and the effect on the vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) by comparing the effects of electroacupuncture (EA) with sibelium (flunarizine hydrochloride) on vertebrobasilar insufficiency(VBI). METHODS: Injected with sclerosant-775 injection into the solt tissue on the left side of cervical vertebral transverse processes of rabbits to set up the vertebral artery type of cervical spondylosis (VCS) models. Electronystagmography (ENG) induced by linear acceleration (LA) and horizontal rotation (HR), the transcranial Doppler (TCD), laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) and hemorheology were used to measure changes of the frequencies of nystagmus, the hemodynamics in the basilar artery (BA), inner ear blood flow(IEBF) and blood viscosity in VBI rabbits. RESULTS: The frequencies of ENG, the velocity of blood flow in BA and IEBF decreased obviously, and whole blood middle where viscosity, whole blood lower where viscosity and erythrocyte distortion index ( EDI) increased significantly in the model group. Sibelium could reduce whole blood viscosity and EDI, and increased the systolic phase velocity (Vs) of blood flow in BA, but had no effect on diastolic phase velocity (Vd) and mean velocity (Vm). EA could not reduce the viscosity of blood and EDI, but had more significant effects on improving IEBF and ENG induced by LA than those of sibelium, and had the tendency of increasing Vs, Vd and Vm. EA and sibelium had no effect on improving ENG induced by HR. CONCLUSION: Inner ear microcirculation obstruction caused by VBI can induce dysfunctions of vestibule cyst macula and horizontal semicircular canals. EA may depend upon the neurohumoral regulation to improve VBI, and ameliorate inner ear blood supply obstruction by enhancing mechanism of local adjusting for microcirculation in the inner ear to recover vestibular cyst macula irritability for LA chiefly. There exist complicated mechanism that EA adjusts blood flow distribution and vestibular signal transduction in vestibular organ in VBI model likely, and remain to be researched deeply.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the prevalence of and predisposing factors of atopic dermatitis (AD ) in 0 - 6 year-old children in rural and urban area of Tianjin. Methods The subjects were chosen by cluster sampling from kindergartens in Tianjin's urban and rural districts. Questionnaires were designed based on the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Children (ISAAC ) and distributed to the children's parents via the teachers. Results In this survey, 3 749 questionaires were returned, of which 3 708 were valid. The response rate was 82.7% in total, 79.3% in the rural area, and 84.9% in the urban area. The age and gender distributions were similar in the urban and rural area. The prevalence rate of AD in these children was 2.9% in total, and it was higher in the urban area than in the rural area (3.5% vs 2.4%, x2 = 3.98, P
