RESUMEN

Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy, tolerability and safety of adjunctive perampanel in focal epilepsy patients≥12 years old.Methods:One hundred and nineteen focal epilepsy patients≥12 years old accepted adjunctive perampanel in Department of Neurology, First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from July 2020 to December 2022 were chosen. At 1-3 months, 4-6 months, 7-9 months and 10-12 months after adjunctive perampanel, seizure frequency changes every 28 d, medication retention rate and adverse reactions were recorded to evaluate the clinical efficacy (a reduction in seizure frequency≥50% from baseline was defined as overall valid treatment), tolerability and safety of adjunctive perampanel. According to efficacy results after adjunctive perampanel of 4-6 months (short-term) and 10-12 months (long-term), these patients were divided into valid group and invalid group; and the influencing factors for short-term and long-term efficacy were analyzed.Results:At 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 months after adjunctive perampanel, reduction in seizure frequency every 28 d was 66.7% (24.3%, 97.2%), 77.5% (48.6%, 100%), 94.6% (50%, 100%), 100% (70.9%, 100%), enjoying overall valid rate of 60.2% (59/98), 75.0% (7/76), 78.9% (45/57), 86.5% (32/37). The retention rate at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months after adjunctive perampanel was 85.2% (98/115), 67.9% (76/112), 54.3% (57/105), 41.1% (37/90). Adverse reactions were reported in 33 patents (27.7%), mainly with dizziness and secondly with mental symptoms. After short-term and long-term adjunctive perampanel, no significant difference was noted in gender, initial age of adjunctive perampanel, course of disease, etiology, EEG results, imaging results, number and type of combined anti-seizure drugs, or maximum dose of pirampanel between the valid group and invalid group ( P>0.05). Conclusion:Perampanel has good efficacy, tolerability and safety in adolescents and adults≥12 years old with focal epilepsy; no clear influencing factors for pirampanel valid treatment is found so far.

OBJECTIVE: Early and reasonable feeding mode can not only ensure the good nutritional condition of infants but also enhance the infant immunity and resistance, which has a certain role in promoting health and preventing the occurrence of chronic diseases in adulthood. In this study, the effect of neonatal feeding methods on the infant body, the influence of early feeding on the growth rate, and development of infants aged 0-3. METHOD: From January 2016 to June 2019, a total of 600 infants who have been systematically managed in our hospital since birth were selected. All newborns were 37-40 weeks old, weighing 2350-4100 g, without congenital diseases. They were grouped according to feeding methods. 194 infants were exclusively breastfed, 32.3%; 207 people were artificially fed, 34.5%; 199 people were mixed fed, 33.2%. The Kaup index method was used to judge the nutritional status. Developmental Screening Test for ages 0 to 6 (DST) and Bailey Infant Development Scale (BIDS) were used to rate the intellectual and behavioral development of infants and children. According to the growth and development reference standard of 0 ~ 4-year-old children recommended by who in 2006, the age weight standard deviation score (WAZ), age length (height) standard deviation score (HAZ), and body (long) height-weight standard deviation score (WHZ) were performed, and the statistical analysis was performed with SPSS24.0 software. The height, weight, intelligence, and motor development of infants in the three groups at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 24 months, and 36 months were analyzed and compared, and the test results were recorded in detail. RESULT: There was no significant difference in 3-month-old WAZ and HAZ among the three groups (P > 0.05). Within 6 months, the WAZ and HAZ values of the pure breastfeeding group and mixed feeding group were higher than those of the artificial feeding group (P < 0.05). From 6 months to 12 months, the WAZ and HAZ values of the artificial feeding group were better than those of artificial feeding group and mixed feeding group (P < 0.05). The scores of MI, DQ, PDI, and MDI in the mixed feeding group within 12-36 months were slightly higher than those in the breastfeeding group and significantly better than those in the artificial feeding group (P < 0.05). The prevalence of the breastfeeding group was 22.2% (43/194) and mixed feeding group was 19.8% (39/199), which was lower than that of the artificial feeding group 57.8% (120/207), P < 0.01. The number of people with normal psychological development was 88.7% (172/194) in the breastfeeding group and 88.9% (177/199) in the mixed feeding group, which was higher than 76.3% (158/207) in the artificial feeding group (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: When there is little colostrum secretion in the first 2-3 days of delivery, appropriate addition of formula milk can reduce the incidence of diseases in newborn infants. Breast milk is the most perfect natural food. The immune substance in breast milk is an important element for infants to resist diseases. The communication between mother and child is the first condition for the development of infant mental health.

OBJECTIVE: In order to improve the quality of neonatal care, this study analyzed the construction of PICC and scientifically evaluated the quality of PICC. METHODS: A total of 100 neonatal patients admitted to the Pediatric Medical Intensive Care Unit of the People's Hospital in Laizhou City of Shandong Province between January 2015 and December 2018 were selected for nursing intervention. They were randomly divided into 50 cases in the observation group and 50 cases in the reference group. In the observation group, 50 were neonatal patients who received and completed PICC catheterization care, and in the reference group, 50 were neonatal patients with traditional conventional puncture care, PICC nursing quality evaluation index system, and nursing quality standard were applied, and questionnaire survey and patient satisfaction survey were conducted in the treatment. The two groups were compared for the success rate of one puncture, catheter detachment, treatment of local bleeding, incidence of nursing risk during other treatment, and other related nursing quality results. RESULTS: The incidence of related medical and nursing risks in neonatal patients such as one-time puncture success rate, catheter detachment during treatment, and local bleeding was significantly lower than those in neonatal patients receiving conventional nursing methods. The incidence of nursing risk events during puncture was effectively reduced. It is shown in the comparison of adverse events in neonatal pediatric nursing in the fourth quarter of 2017 and 2018. In 2018, the proportion of adverse events in neonatal nursing is decreasing, the quality index of nursing is improving, and the satisfaction of patients' families and relevant personnel in treatment is increasing. CONCLUSION: The construction and application of neonatal PICC nursing quality evaluation system can improve the success rate of one-time puncture, reduce the pain of newborns, improve the nursing quality evaluation system, scientifically and reasonably provide effective methods and basis for hospital PICC nursing, and play an important role in the development of pediatric nursing.

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Diabetic foot ulcers mainly refer to people who are initially diabetic and do not have peripheral neuropathy or peripheral vascular disease, but have developed foot infection, septicemia, and ulceration. Diabetic trauma disease is characterized by high sugar and very slow wound healing, which is the reason why some patients with severe diabetic trauma require amputation. Prolonged hyperglycemia can lead to changes in bodily functions and endocrine changes, which can lead to permeability damage of epidermal tissue structure, microvascular damage and, in more severe cases, nerve damage, which are also the main causes of diabetic trauma. Small molecule peptides have various biological activities, such as: lowering blood pressure, antibacterial and wound healing activities, etc. It is a drug recorded in classical Chinese medicine, it is safer to use natural active peptides to treat wounds compared to the listed drugs, and there are no side effects in its use.The wound healing effect of Wuguchong dry product has been confirmed but the mechanism is still unclear, whether it is related to the small molecule active peptides contained in it remains to be studied. AIM OF STUDY: Objective To investigate the potential mechanism of the peptide compounds of Wuguchong (PCW) on diabetic wound healing and the relevant targets in the pathway associated with the treatment of diabetic ulcers using a systematic pharmacological and pharmacological experimental validation approach. METHODS: 1) PCW was prepared by enzymatic digestion of TCMW and analyzed by UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS. 2) Further screening of the active chemical components of PCW using PubChem, Swiss Target Prediction data. 3) Prediction of its targets using Drug Bank, CTD, and Genecards databases. 4) Construct protein/gene interactions network diagrams for PCWs acting by using Cytoscape 3.7.0 software. 5) GO and KEGG analysis of PCW targets were performed by David database. 6) Validated by AO/EB staining, scratching and in vitro tube formation methods. 7) Explored the mechanism of PCW to promote diabetic wound healing by protein blotting and immunohistochemical detection of relevant protein expression. RESULTS: and finally: 1) After the above screening, 81 active ingredients of PCW and 94 targets acting on diabetic ulcers were obtained. 2) 30 biological processes, 30 cellular compositions and 30 molecular functions were obtained by GO analysis; 28 signaling pathways were obtained by KEGG analysis. 3) The results of AO/EB staining assay, scratch assay and in vitro tube-forming assay showed that PCW has significant pro-vascular endothelial cell proliferation and pro-angiogenic effects in vitro. CONCLUSIONS: The results of this study confirmed the effect of the PCW in treating diabetic ulcers to a certain extent, and further revealed its mechanism of action in depth, which provides a new reference for the next step of Chinese medicine in treating diabetic ulcers.

AIM: To study the correlation between the expression of recepteur d'origine nantais (RON) protein and CXC chemokine motif receptor 4 (CXCR4) protein and abiraterone resistance in patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). METHODS: From January 2017 to February 2020, 127 patients with CRPC who were treated with abiraterone in our hospital were selected. According to the status of drug resistance, they were divided into observation group (n=32, patients with abiraterone resistance) and control group (n=95, patients in remission). Immunohistochemistry and Western blot analysis were used to compare the expression of RON and CXCR4 protein between the two groups. Logistic regression analysis was used to conduct single-factor and multi-factor analysis of RON, CXCR4 protein and drug resistance, and receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) and area under ROC (AUC) were used to analyze the value of RON and CXCR4 protein in predicting drug resistance. In addition, RON and CXCR4 inhibitors were added to abiraterone-resistant cell lines. The effects of the two on the apoptosis indicators of abiraterone resistance[caspase-3, caspase-9, apoptosis rate] were observed. RESULTS: Immunohistochemistry showed that the positive expression rate of RON in the observation group (71.88%, 23/32) was higher than that of the control group (27.37%, 26/95). The positive expression rate of CXCR4 in the observation group (65.63%, 21/32) was higher than that of the control group (12.63%, 12/95). Western blot detection showed that the RON and CXCR4 proteins in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P 4.11, the sensitivity was 84.37%, and the specificity was 61.05% (P 3.42, the sensitivity was 75.00%, and the specificity was 80.00% (P< 0.05). The AUC of RON+CXCR4 protein predicting abiraterone resistance was 0.884 (95%CI: 0.815-0.934), the sensitivity was 87.50%, and the specificity was 83.16% (P< 0.05). CONCLUSION: The expression of RON and CXCR4 protein in CRPC patients increases significantly, which is closely related to the resistance of Abiraterone in patients and is expected to become a marker for predicting drug resistance. Inhibiting the expression of RON and CXCR4 proteins can promote the apoptosis of CRPC abiraterone resistant cells.

At present,more and more studies have shown that gene copy number variation can be involved in the occurrence,development and outcome of thyroid cancer.The studies on the copy number variation of genes related to phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K/AKT) signaling pathways can serve as molecular bases for further understanding the gene map of thyroid cancer subtypes,as well as the accurate diagnosis of thyroid cancer and the development of precise molecular targeted therapy.This review summarizes recent advances on correlation between PI3K/AKT pathway-related gene copy number variation and thyroid cancer.

Objective To understand the effects of different water iodine level on iodine nutrition and thyroid function in pregnant women,and provide a reference for prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency disorders in the future.Methods According to the background material of water iodine in provinces given non-iodized salt,the administrative villages with water iodine content < 10,10-49,50-99,100-299 and ≥ 300 μg/L were selected as survey sites in Shandong,Shanxi,Hebei,Henan,Jiangsu and Anhui provinces.Urine,blood,drinking water and salt samples were collected from pregnant women at the site of investigation,and urinary iodine,serum iodine,thyroid function and antibody index,water iodine,and salt iodine were measured;thyroid volume was also examined.Results A total of 575 pregnant women were investigated.The medians urinary iodine of pregnant women with water iodine < 10,10-49,50-99,100-299 and ≥300 μg/L groups were 175.55,180.90,139.70,330.15 and 817.70 μg/L,respectively,and the differences were statistically significant in different water iodine groups (H =152.593,P < 0.01).The levels of serum iodine and free thyroxine (FT4) were significantly different among pregnant women in different water iodine groups (H =82.843,F =3.070,P < 0.01 or < 0.05).However,there was no significant difference in serum thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels (H =1.774,P > 0.05).And with the increase of water iodine levels,the abnormal rate of TSH showed the phenomenon of middle low and both ends high ("U" type,x2 =16.729,P < 0.01).There were no significant differences in the positive rates of serum thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb),thyroglobulin antibody (TgAb),any antibody and double antibodies in pregnant women among different water iodine groups (P > 0.05).And there was a statistically significant difference in the detection rate of subclinical hypothyroidism (x2 =11.869,P < 0.05).The rates of goiter in pregnant women among different water iodine groups were less than 5%.The difference in detection rates of thyroid nodules was statistically significant (x2 =13.591,P < 0.05),and the rate was the highest in water iodine ≥300 μg/L group (21.33%,16/75).Conclusions In water iodine ≥300 μg/L group,urinary iodine level of pregnant women is in the level of iodine excess,and serum iodine level,FT4 level,thyroid nodules detection rate are higher.The abnormal rate of serum TSH and the detection rate of hypothyroidism show a "U" curve that increases at iodine deficiency and iodine excess.

Objective:To explore the effect of aerobic exercise on the food intake of obesity rats and obesity resistant rats and some mechanisms Method:The four years old Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into standard chow group (C) and high-fat diet group.After 10 weeks feeding,the obese group (OB group) and obesity resistant group (OR group) induced by high-fat diet were screened out.Then all the rats in OB group and OR group were respectively and randomly divided into exercise rats (OB-Sw group,OR-Sw group) and non-exercise rats (OB-Sed group,OR-Sed group).Aerobic swimming exercise for the exercise rats was defined as 60% of individual exhaustion exercise intensity,45 minutes per day,5 times per week.Meanwhile,the body weight and food intake of the exercise and non-exercise rats were monitored every week.After 8 weeks intervention,the serum and gastric tissue of rats were obtained,and then the TG,TC,LDL-c,HDL-c in serum and the expression of ghrelin in gastric tissue were detected.Result:Ten weeks later,the body weight of the rats with high-fat diet showed a significant difference compared with the rats with standard chow group (P < 0.05).The content of LDL in OB-Sed group was significantly higher than that in C group (P<0.05).After 8 weeks aerobic exercise,for the food intake,OB-Sed group was higher than OB-Sw group and OR-Sed group was higher than OB-Sw group.The expression of ghrelin in gastric tissue in OB-Sed group and OR-Sed group was higher than that in OB-Sw group,OB-Sw group and C group.Conclusion:Exercise might reduce the food intake of obesity rats and obesity resistant rats by reducing the expression of ghrelin in stomach.

Objective@#To study the associations between variants of mTORC1 of PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway and colorectal cancer.@*Methods@#In this hospital-based case-control study, at the First Affiliated Hospital, Xinjiang Medical University from 2000 to 2013, 665 primary colorectal cancer cases and 695 cancer-free controls were genotyped at 10 potentially functional single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs) loci of mTORC1 (mTOR: rs1034528, rs2295080; Raptor: rs1062935, rs3751934; mLST8: rs3160, rs26865; DEPTOR: rs2271900, rs4871827; AKT1S1: rs2290774, rs2353005) to assess their associations with risk of colorectal cancer by Logistic regression analysis.@*Results@#In single-locus analysis, found a significantly decreased risk of colorectal cancer associated with mLST8 rs26865 by recessive genetic model, especially in populations of ≤68 years of age (OR=0.64; 95%CI=0.43-0.96, P=0.031), female (OR=0.61; 95%CI=0.38-0.99, P=0.046), non-smoking (OR=0.55; 95%CI=0.35-0.87, P=0.010). mTOR rs1034528 CC genotypes were associated with higher risk of colorectal cancer in >68-year-old populations (OR=3.34; 95%CI=1.12-9.91, P=0.030). Raptor rs3751934 CA/AA genotypes were associated with lower colorectal cancer risk in population of body mass index(BMI)>25 kg/m2 (OR=0.68; 95%CI=0.47-0.98, P=0.038); and AKT1S1 rs2290774 CC genotypes were associated with lower colorectal cancer risk in non-smoking population (OR=0.67; 95%CI=0.45-0.99, P=0.048). Furthermore, found that populations carrying more than two low-risk genotypes were associated with lower colorectal cancer risk, compared with that of populations carrying less than two low-risk genotypes (OR=0.74, 95%CI=0.58-0.95, P=0.017), especially in population of ≤68 years of age, male and BMI>25 kg/m2, and non-smoking.@*Conclusions@#SNPs of mTORC1-related genes individually or jointly contribute to colorectal cancer susceptibility in Chinese. Further studies of larger cohorts are needed to validate the findings.

Objective To observe the effect of parecoxib sodium on relieving acute postoperative pain and inflammatory fac‐tors in laparoscopic cholecystectomy .Methods Totally 96 cases of laparoscopic cholecystectomy were randomly divided into 3 groups :experimental group (group A ,group B) and control group(group C) ,32 cases in each group .Group A received intravenous infusion of parecoxib sodium 40 mg (diluted to 5 mL ) intravenously at the induction of general anesthesia and intravenous injection of 5 mL normal saline 15 min before surgery .In group B ,anesthesia induction ,15 minutes before surgery were given 5 mL of normal saline ,parecoxib sodium 40 mg (diluted to 5 mL) intravenously .In group C ,5 mL of normal saline was given intravenously at the time of general anesthesia induction and 15 min before operation .The total number of PCA and the number of effective compres‐sions and VAS scores at 12 h postoperatively ,the levels of serum TNF‐α,IL‐6 and IL‐12 before operation ,immediately after opera‐tion ,at 2 ,12 ,24 h after operationwere compared .Results The PCA press times and effective press times of patients in group A within 12 hours after the operation were much less than those in group B ,C(all P0 .05) .The changes of serum IL‐6 ,TNF‐αlevel in three groups of patients at the end of the operation ,2 ,12 ,24 h after operationwere :group A group B > group C . Conclusion Parecoxib sodium has a good analgesic effect of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in the induction of general anesthesia than before the end of the operation and application effect is better ,and its analgesic effect can reduce the production of inflammato‐ry factors IL‐6 and TNF‐α,and increase the level of IL‐12 ,which is beneficial to postoperative recovery .

OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of resuscitation with different kinds of colloids on oxygen metabolism of swine during shock stage of burn injury. METHODS: Eighteen Guangxi Bama miniature swine were inflicted with 40% TBSA full-thickness burn on the back. And then they were divided into succinylated gelatin group (S) , hydroxyethyl starch group (H), and allogeneic plasma group (A) according to the random number table, with 6 swine in each group. The fluid resuscitation was begun at post injury hour (PIH) 2. The colloids used in groups S, H, and A were respectively succinylated gelatin, 60 g/L hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4, and allogeneic plasma. The blood pressure, urine volume, heart rate, and central venous pressure (CVP) were recorded before injury and at the first and second PIH 24. The volume of resuscitation fluid was recorded at the first and second PIH 24. The changes in oxygen delivery., oxygen consumption, oxygen extraction ratio and D-lactate were determined and calculated before injury and at PIH 4, 8, 24, and 48. Data were processed with analysis of variance of repeated measurement, one-way analysis of variance and LSD test. RESULTS: There were no statistically significant differences among the three groups in blood pressure, urine volume, heart rate, and CVP at each time point (with P values above 0. 05). There were no statistically significant differences in resuscitation fluid volume among the three groups at the first and second PIH 24 (with F values respectively 0. 239 and 2. 023, P values respectively 0. 790 and 0. 167). The oxygen consumption of swine in group S was (201 ± 38) L · min(-1) · m(-2) at PIH 48, which was significantly higher than that in group A [(150 ± 37) L · min(-1) · m(-2), P < 0.05], and the oxygen consumption was similar among the three groups at the rest time points (with P values above 0.05). The oxygen delivery of swine in group S was (484 ± 63) L · min(-1) · m(-2) at PIH 8, and it was significantly lower than that in group A [(652 ± 65) L(-1) min(-1) · m(-2), P < 0.01]. The oxygen delivery of swine in group S reached (903 ± 132) and (1,028 ± 98) L · min(-1) · m(-2) at PIH 24 and 48, respectively, and they were significantly higher than those in group A [(686 ± 72) and (720 ± 75) L · min(-1) · M(-2), with P values below 0.01]. Oxygen delivery in group H was similar to that of group A at each time point (with P values above 0.05). The oxygen extraction ratio in group S or group H was close to that of group A at each time point (with P values above 0.05). The D-lactate level in group S was (69 ± 9) mmol/L, and it was significantly higher than that in group A [(52 ± 4) mmol/L, P < 0.01] at PIH 48. The D-lactate level was similar among the three groups at the rest time points (with P values above 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: According to the changes in oxygen metabolism of swine during shock stage of burn injury resuscitated with different kinds of colloids, it is found that allogeneic plasma is better than artificial colloid, and 60 g/L hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 is superior to succinylated gelatin.

RESUMEN

To identity the pathogen that causes the mosaic and yellowing symptoms on Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz in Jiangxian, Shanxi province, biological inoculation, sequence-independent amplification (SIA),RT-PCR and other identification methods were used. The results showed that the chlorotic and necrosis symptoms occurred in the indicator plant Chenopodium quinoa after it was infected with the pathogen,and the same symptoms appeared after the reinoculation of healthy Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz; this reflected that the disease was likely to be caused by a virus. The results of SIA and sequencing showed that Broad bean wilt virus 2 (BBWV2) was present in severely mosaic Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz leaves. To further characterize the BBWV2 isolate from Atractylodes macrocephala (BBWV2-Am), the polyprotein partial gene encoded by BBWV2-Am RNA2 was cloned and sequenced. Sequence alignments showed that the nucleotide sequence identity of BBWV2-Am SCP and LCP genes ranged from 79.3% to 87.2% and from 80.1% to 89.2% compared to other BBWV2 strains,respectively; the deduced amino acid sequence similarities of the two gene products ranged from 91.2% to 95.7% and from 89.44 to 95.5%, respectively,compared to those of other BBWV2 strains. Phylogenetic comparisons showed that BBWV2-Am was most likely to be related to BBWV2-Rg,but formed an independent branch. This is the first report of BBWV2 in Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz.

RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate the efficacy, safety and compatibility of a new type of atrial septal defect ( ASD) occluder in atrial spetal defect mini-pigs model.Methods Five Tibet mini-pigs were selected as the ASD models which were established by the combination of atrial septal puncture and balloon dilation.Then the new type occluder was implanted for the therapy of ASD.Transthoracic echocardiography with color Doppler was used in all animals during closure and in follow up examinations.The animals were killed at 3 months after occlusion for electron microscopical observation and microscopic examination.Result The ASD models had been created in five piglets successfully without complication, all of whom were implanted successfully with the new device without shunts.Postmortem and microscopic examination of the 5 specimens 3 months after placement showed complete.Conclusion Transcatheter ASD occlusion with new type ASD occluder is safe,feasible and effective.This occlusion can repair the atrial septal defect successfully.

RESUMEN

Objective: To analyze the information of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in a single center during last 6 years, and to distinguish the clinical differences of patients between TakoSTubo cardiomyopathy (TTC) and ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Methods: A total of 1042 consecutive patients with primarily diagnosed acute anterior ST-segment elevation (STEMI) admitted in our hospital from 2008-01 to 2014-04 were retrospectively enrolled. The relevant patients were studied in 2 groups:TTC group, the patients with coronary angiography (CAG) and the contrast study of left ventricle corrected TTC diagnosis, n=10, and STEMI group, the patients received CAG within 6 hours of on set with conifrmed left anterior descending singlevessel disease at the same period of time as TTC patients,n=32. The basic clinical characteristics, levels of blood lipids, MI related biomarkers, the incidence rate of pathological Q wave, QTc interval and negative T wave in 12-lead ECG were compared between 2 groups. Results: The percentage of corrected TTC diagnosis in patients with primarily diagnosed STEMI was 1.06%. The female gender in TTC group and STEMI group was 100% vs 9%,P<0.01, TTC group had more patients with stress history before on set than that in STEMI group (70% vs 22%,P=0.02), lower levels of MI related biomarkers as CK (486 ± 249) U/L vs (716 ± 132) U/L, CK-MB (13.5 ± 17.1) mg/L vs (47.5 ± 21.9) mg/L, cTnI (22.8 ± 16.3) ng/mL vs (56.4 ± 24.0) ng/mL, allP<0.01. The age of morbidity, the ratios of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and blood lipids were similar between 2 groups. The frequency of abnormal Q-wave in ECG was similar between 2 groups, while the QTc interval was different in TTC group and STEMI group (630 ± 117) ms vs (540 ± 62) ms,P=0.001, the negative T waves in ECG leads II, III, aVF, aVR and V6 were as (100.00% vs 3.13%), (60.00% vs 6.25%), (90.00% vs 3.13%), (100.00% vs 21.88%), (100.00% vs 46.88%), allP<0.05. Conclusion: TTC patients with the main presentation as ST-segment elevation are usually having emotional or physical stress before on set, with obviously prolonged QTc interval and more frequency of negative T waves in ECG.

Objective To explore the effect of wash pipe frequency on complications of double-lumen power peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) connected to infusion pump during continuous chemotherapy. Methods A total of 160 patients with malignant lymphoma whose PICC connected to infusion pump were divided into 4 groups by random digits table method with 40 cases each: flushing and sealing the tube once every 4 hours(group A), every 8 hours(group B), every 12 hours(group C) and every 24 hours (group D). The incidence of blocking pipe and phlebitis were observed. Results The incidence of blocking pipe were 0,2.5%(1/40) , 27.5%(11/40), 42.5%(17/40) in group A, B, C, D, the differences among them were significant, χ2= 30.870, P0.05. Conclusions Flushing and sealing the tube of PICC connected to infusion pump once every 8 hours during continuous chemotherapy seems to be appropriate and worthy of being applied clinically due to its low blocking pipe incidence, and low incidence of phlebitis.

Objective To compare the number of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) from peripheral blood in patients with acute myocardial infarction of young man and healthy man.Methods Eighteen young men (18 ~50 years old) with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) who were admitted at the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from June 2010 to April 2011 in young man were enrolled,aged (65 ~ 85 years old) men with acute myocardial infarction in 18 cases,within 24 hours of onset collected blood 2 ml.Ten cases of healthy young men (30 ~50 years old) were used as control group,fasting venous blood 2 ml.A volume (400 μl) of blood was taken to red blood cell lysis buffer hemolysis labeled with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),CD34,and CD133 antibodies,and then analyzed with flow cytometry.Results The number of EPCs in peripheral blood was measured in young male AMI group.The number of EPCs in peripheral blood was (0.58 ±0.83)% in older men.The number of EPCs in peripheral blood of AMI group was (0.04 ± 0.03) %.For healthy controls,the number of EPCs was (0.02 ± 0.02)%.The number of EPCs was significantly higher in AMI patients compared to control group (P < 0.05).However,for AMI group,the increased number of EPCs in young men was significantly greater than young female (P <0.01).Conclusions The number of EPCs in peripheral blood in young man AMI patients is significantly increased within 24 hours.

Objective To evaluate the influence of age factors on etomidate sedative potency.Methods One hundred and fifty (ASA physical status Ⅰ or Ⅱ) patients of both sexes,scheduled for elective operation under general anesthesia,were divided into 3 groups according to age (n =50 each):group Y 18-44 yr,group M 40-64 yr and group O 65-75 yr.Each group was randomly divided into 5 subgroups receiving in'venous etomidate 0.07,0.09,0.11,0.13 and 0.17 mg/kg,respectively.Loss of consciousness was evaluated depending on loss of eyelash reflex within 5 min after intravenous administration.Results ED50 of etomidate inducing loss of consciousness was 0.13,0.11 and 0.09 mg/kg in group Y,M and O,respectively.Compared with that in group Y,ED50 was significantly decreased in group O,however,and showed no significant change in group M.Conclusion Age factors can affect sedative potency of etomidate,which appears greater in the elderly patients.

Objective To explore the joint toxic effect of formaldehyde and benzene on testicles of the mice. Methods 78 Kunming male mice were divided into groups, in the formaldehyde treatment groups were exposed at dosage of 0.2 mg/kg,2 mg/kg,20 mg/kg, in the benzene treatment groups were exposed at dosage of 100.0 mg/kg,200.0 mg/kg,400.0 mg/kg and the in formaldehyde and benzene combined treatment groups were exposed at dosage of 0.1+50.0 mg/kg,1+100.0 mg/kg,10+200.0 mg/kg respectively. The treatments were conducted by peritoneal injection for five consecutive days,once a day,then killed on 6th day. The activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD),the contents of maleic dialdehyde(MDA),the contents of copper(Cu),zinc(Zn) in testicles of the mice were determined. Results Compared with those in the negative control groups,the activity of SOD and the contents of Cu, Zn in the testicles of the mice in each treatment group significantly decreased, while the contents of MDA significantly increased (P
