RESUMEN

ObjectiveTo establish a dose-effect curve for semi-automatic analysis of dicentric chromosomes(DC) based on an automatic chromosome analysis system. Methods A total of three healthy volunteers were recruited as the study subjects, and their peripheral blood was collected and stimulated by X-ray at doses of 0.00, 0.10, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.00, 2.00, 3.00, 4.00, and 5.00 Gy, with the absorbed dose rate of 1.0 Gy/min. Images of DC in the mid-stage of cell division were collected using a high-throughput automatic chromosome analysis system. The DCScore software was used to automatically analyze DC aberrations, and a dose-effect curve for semi-automatic analysis of DC was fitted after manual confirmation. The fitted dose-effect curve for semi-automatic analysis of DC was validated for accuracy using three proficiency test samples from the national quality assessment of biological dose. Results The incidence of DC increased with increasing irradiation doses in the range of 0.00-5.00 Gy (P<0.01). The dose-effect curve for the fitted semi-automatic analysis of DC was ŷ =0.000 8 (±0.000 2) +0.009 2(±0.000 9) D+0.014 2(±0.000 4) D2 (R2= 0.999 8). The relative deviation between the estimated dose and the actual dose of the three test samples was about 20.00%, indicating curve applicability for biological dose estimation. Moreover, excluding the time spent on manual analysis, the semi-automatic analysis method increased the analysis efficiency by 26.0 times. Conclusion The semi-automatic analysis dose-effect curve for DC stimulated by X-ray is constructed for biological dose estimation, which can reduce the manual analysis time, and holds great potential for application in nuclear emergency response to large-scale radiation accidents.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the immediate brain effect of acupuncture at Fengchi using amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation(ALFF)and functional connectivity by the resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(rs-fMRI)in patients with posterior circulation ischemia vertigo(PCIV).Methods Twenty patients with PCIV were enrolled. The dizziness handicap inventory(DHI)was used to evaluate the severity of vertigo. The patients were randomly divided into acupuncture group and sham acupoint acupuncture group.Rs-fMRI scan was performed before and after acupuncture.MATLAB-based DPABI 6.1 software was used to analyze rs-fMRI data.Correlation analysis was used between the altered ALFF values and DHI scores. The regions of altered ALFF were taken as seeds to analyze functional connectivity. Results Compared with the sham acupoint acupuncture group, the increased ALFF values were mainly located on the left precuneus, left superior frontal gyrus and left caudate nucleus after acupuncture in the acupuncture group;the decreased ALFF values were mainly located on the left cerebellum and right inferior occipital gyrus. The ALFF value of the left superior frontal gyrus was negatively correlated with the DHI score(P=0.04).The increased functional connectivity was mainly found between left precuneus and the right middle frontal gyrus, the right superior frontal gyrus, the decreased functional connectivity was mainly found between left precuneus and the bilateral paracentral lobule and right cerebellum. Conclusion The ALFF value and functional connectivity are different before and after acupuncture, indicating that the vestibular network, visual and motor brain regions functional activities are changed after needling at Fengchi, which may be the brain functional basis of Fengchi for vertigo in PCIV.

RESUMEN

Objective:This study aims to provide scientific evidence for scientific iodine supplementation through monitoring the iodine nutrition status of children aged 8 - 10 and pregnant women in Haikou City. Methods:From 2016 to 2020, monitoring sites were selected in Longhua, Meilan, Qiongshan and Xiuying districts of Haikou City according to the requirements of the "Hainan Iodine Deficiency Disorders Monitoring Program". The iodine contents of drinking water, household edible salt and urinary iodine contents of children aged 8 - 10 and pregnant women were determined and analyzed. Results:The median iodine content of 388 drinking water samples was 5.60 μg/L, the median salt iodine content of 6 000 household edible salt samples was 25.70 mg/kg, the coverage rate of iodized salt was 98.65% (5 919/6 000), the qualified rate of iodized salt was 98.36% (5 822/5 919) and the consumption rate of qualified iodized salt was 97.03% (5 822/6 000). The median urinary iodine content of 4 000 children aged 8 - 10 was 181.68 μg/L and the median urinary iodine content of 2 000 pregnant women was 130.70 μg/L.Conclusions:The external environment of Haikou is iodine deficient. The iodine nutrition of children is generally in an appropriate state, and that of pregnant women is generally insufficient. While implementing the salt iodization policy, we should strengthen the monitoring of iodine nutrition among people and spreading iodine nutrition knowledge among residents, providing classified guidance and scientific iodine supplementation, so as to achieve the goal of continuous elimination of iodine deficiency disorders.
