RESUMEN

Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) possess strong antibacterial activity and low drug resistance, making them ideal candidates for bactericidal drugs for addressing the issue of traditional antibiotic resistance. In this study, a template (G(XXKK)nI, G = Gly; X = Leu, Ile, Phe, or Trp; n = 2, 3, or 4; K = Lys; I = Ile.) was employed for the devised of a variety of novel α-helical AMPs with a high therapeutic index. The AMP with the highest therapeutic index, WK2, was ultimately chosen following a thorough screening process. It demonstrates broad-spectrum and potent activity against both standard and multidrug-resistant bacteria, while also showing low hemolysis and rapid and efficient time-kill kinetics. Additionally, WK2 exhibits excellent efficacy in treating mouse models of Klebsiella pneumonia-induced lung infections and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)-induced skin wound infections while demonstrating good safety profiles in vivo. In conclusion, the template-based design methodology for novel AMPs with high therapeutic indices offers new insights into addressing antibiotic resistance problems. WK2 represents a promising antimicrobial agent.

RESUMEN

The complement system is a complex network of proteins that plays a crucial role in the innate immune response. One important component of this system is the C5a-C5aR1 complex, which is critical in the recruitment and activation of immune cells. In-depth investigation of the activation mechanism as well as biased signaling of the C5a-C5aR1 system will facilitate the elucidation of C5a-mediated pathophysiology. In this study, we determined the structure of C5a-C5aR1-Gi complex at a high resolution of 3 Šusing cryo-electron microscopy (Cryo-EM). Our results revealed the binding site of C5a, which consists of a polar recognition region on the extracellular side and an amphipathic pocket within the transmembrane domain. Furthermore, we found that C5a binding induces conformational changes of C5aR1, which subsequently leads to the activation of G protein signaling pathways. Notably, a key residue (M265) located on transmembrane helix 6 (TM6) was identified to play a crucial role in regulating the recruitment of ß-arrestin driven by C5a. This study provides more information about the structure and function of the human C5a-C5aR1 complex, which is essential for the proper functioning of the complement system. The findings of this study can also provide a foundation for the design of new pharmaceuticals targeting this receptor with bias or specificity.

RESUMEN

Determining the source of body fluids is crucial in forensic investigations, as it provides valuable information about suspects and the nature of the crime. Microbial markers that trace the source of tissues and body fluids based on site specificity and temporal stability are often used effectively for this purpose. In this study, a multiplex system comprising seven microbial markers (Finegoldia magna, Corynebacterium tuberculostearicum, Cutibacterium acnes, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Streptococcus oralis, Prevotella melaninogenica and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii) was developed to distinguish between skin, saliva, and feces samples. Based on these markers, the system produces electropherograms that are specific for each sample type. We collected 492 samples from six different skin sites (palm, antecubital crease, inguinal crease, cheek, upper back, and toe web space), the buccal mucosa, and stool were collected to further test the system. Beta diversity analysis revealed distinct clustering among the three sample groups. Additionally, skin microenvironment cluster analysis was used to identify skin sites accurately. This analysis classified skin samples into four distinct microenvironments: dry, moist, oily, and foot. Finally, we established a machine learning prediction model based on random forest regression to identify the skin microenvironment, achieving an overall prediction accuracy of 79 %. The multiplex system developed in this study accurately identifies the sources of body fluids, and the skin microenvironment. These findings offer new insights into the application of microbial markers in forensic science.

RESUMEN

People are paying more and more attention to the effects of environmental factors such as heavy metals on depression, and heavy metals may destroy the homeostasis of vitamin D in the body by affecting human metabolism, and the lack of vitamin D will increase the risk of depression. There are few studies on vitamin D deficiency in depression caused by heavy metals, and it is not deep enough. Therefore, this study used logistic regression, restricted cubic spline curve, weighted quantile and Quantile g-computation model to analyze the effects of heavy metal exposure alone and in combination on vitamin D and depression, as well as the potential role of vitamin D deficiency in the process of heavy metal-induced depression. The results showed that cadmium exposure alone or in combination increased the risk of depression (P < 0.05). When Cd increased by 1 unit, the risk of depressive symptoms increased by 1.178 units. Arsenic and its compounds and lead affected vitamin D levels in the body and contributed the second highest or highest weight in the mixture (P < 0.05). It is worth noting that after grouping according to vitamin D deficiency, compared with the normal group, the mixed exposure of heavy metals in the vitamin D deficiency group had more types of metals related to depression and contributed more weight (P < 0.05). This study found that single metal or multi-metal mixed exposure is associated with depression. Vitamin D deficiency may increase the risk of depression. Vitamin D may be a potential factor in the treatment of depression caused by metal, and the specific mechanism of action needs further study.

RESUMEN

There is ongoing debate about whether control-related processing related to cognitive conflict and emotional conflict operate independently. This study manipulated the proportion of congruent to incongruent trials to determine the domain specificity or generality of these two types of conflict control. Two experiments were conducted in which spatial Simon conflict was combined with emotional face-word conflict. In Experiment 1, the proportion congruency (PC) of spatial conflict was manipulated, and in Experiment 2, the PC of emotional conflict was manipulated. The aim was to determine whether control-related processes elicited by cognitive or emotional conflict show domain-specific (within cognitive or within emotional control-related effects) or domain-general effects, where control elicited by cognitive conflict benefits emotional control processes and vice versa. Behavioral findings indicated that spatial and emotional conflict exhibited within-domain PC effects. For event-related brain potential (ERP) activity, PC effects were primarily reflected in a late slow potential, rather than an early negativity, suggesting that control-related adjustments impacted conflict resolution rather than conflict detection. Furthermore, the results did not show evidence of PC effects across domains for behavioral or ERP data, indicating that proactive control elicited by PC manipulation does not transfer across cognitive and emotional conflict. This study supports the modular nature of proactive control for processes related to cognitive and emotional control.

RESUMEN

The weak contacts between disulfide linkages and carbonyl groups are anticipated to be important in determining the structure and function of enzymes and proteins. However, the characteristics of the disulfide-carbonyl n → π* (nSS → π* C═O) interactions remain unexplored. Herein, we investigated the nSS → π* C═O interactions in the gas phase and in proteins. Rotational spectroscopic investigation of a model complex of allyl methyl disulfide with formaldehyde identified two structures, both of which are stabilized through a dominant nSS → π* C═O interaction. Surveys of the Protein Data Bank revealed the occurrence of 18 675 nSS → π* C═O interactions associated with 15 320 disulfide bonds in 7105 protein structures. Further theoretical analyses characterize the bonding nature of the nSS → π* C═O interactions. This study provides an in-depth understanding of the stabilizing effect of the nSS → π* C═O interactions in small molecular complexes and biomacromolecules.

RESUMEN

PURPOSE: To assess the long-term (1-year) effect of myopic femtosecond laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (FSLASIK) on clinical characteristics and tear film biomarkers. METHODS: Eighty eyes from 80 patients who underwent FSLASIK were evaluated. Ocular surface symptoms and signs were evaluated using specific questionnaires and tests. The corneal nerves and dendritic cells were examined using in vivo confocal microscopy. Corneal sensitivity was evaluated using a Cochet-Bonnet esthesiometer. Tear inflammatory cytokines and neuropeptides were evaluated using Luminex immunoassay. These examinations were performed preoperatively and at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months postoperatively. RESULTS: Seventy-three participants completed all follow-up visits. Following FS-LASIK, ocular symptoms and signs (except Schirmer I test) worsened at 1 month but corneal and conjunctival stainings improved by 3 months. The numbers of dendritic cells and activated dendritic cells increased at the 3-month postoperative visit and recovered to preoperative levels by the 6-month visit. Ocular symptoms and corneal sensitivity recovered to preoperative levels at the 12-month visit. Tear break-up time and corneal nerve morphology were not recovered to preoperative status at the 12-month visit. Interleukin (IL)-1ß, IL-17A, tumor necrosis factor-α, and substance P tear levels significantly increased at all postoperative visits compared to preoperative levels. Corneal staining scores positively correlated with tear IL-1ß and IL-17A levels, whereas corneal nerve morphology positively correlated with corneal sensitivity and negatively correlated with substance P levels. CONCLUSIONS: Although most clinical variables improved at 12 months postoperatively, some tear inflammatory cytokines and substance P remain altered beyond 12 months, indicating that ocular homeostasis is not completely recovered. RESUMEN

Pheromone receptor (PR)-mediated transduction of sex pheromones to electrophysiological signals is the basis for sex pheromone communication. Orthaga achatina, a serious pest of the camphor tree, uses a mixture of four components (Z11-16:OAc, Z11-16:OH, Z11-16:Ald, and Z3,Z6,Z9,Z12,Z15-23:H) as its sex pheromone. In this study, we identified five PR genes (OachPR1-5) by phylogenetic analysis. Further RT-PCR and qPCR experiments showed that PR1-3 were specifically expressed in male antennae, while PR4 was significantly female-biased in expression. Functional characterization using the XOE-TEVC assay demonstrated that PR1 and PR3 both responded strongly to Z11-16:OH, while PR1 and PR3 had a weak response to Z3,Z6,Z9,Z12,Z15-23:H and Z11-16:Ald, respectively. Finally, two key amino acid residues (N78 and R331) were confirmed to be essential for binding of PR3 with Z11-16:OH by molecular docking and site-directed mutagenesis. This study helps understand the sex pheromone recognition molecular mechanism of O. achatina.

RESUMEN

The complexes formed between thiazole and carbon dioxide were studied to probe the non-covalent bonding properties between carbon dioxide and a heteroaromatic ring. The rotational spectra of the thiazole-CO2 complex were analyzed using a supersonic jet Fourier transform microwave spectrometer in conjunction with theoretical calculations. A rotational spectrum corresponding to the global minimum of the thiazole-CO2 complex was identified. The observed structure of the complex is stabilized by a C⋯N tetrel-bond, with additional stability provided by a C-H⋯O hydrogen bond. The computational analysis of the thiazole-(CO2)2 and thiazole-(CO2)3 complexes demonstrated the notable impact of C⋯N interactions on aggregation, with the significance of interactions between CO2 molecules increasing with the number of CO2 molecules present. NCI analysis, NBO analysis, and SAPT analysis were utilized to elucidate the properties of non-covalent interactions between thiazole and CO2, as well as those among CO2 molecules.

RESUMEN

To improve the stability of pollock bone broth, compound emulsifiers were employed and evaluated in nano-emulsions from pollock bones (PBNs). The microstructure, creaming index, particle size, zeta potential, and viscosity of PBNs were characterized and the stability of PBNs was investigated. It revealed that the concentration of compound emulsifiers is one of the principal factors for particle size, zeta potential, and viscosity of PBNs, and 0.9% of sodium caseinate and sucrose fatty acid ester (CS-SE) can make the PBN display good stability. Its particle size changed from 81.17 ± 1.33 nm to 19.62 ± 0.21 nm when the temperature ranged from 40 °C to 80 °C, and its creaming index could reach a maximum (90.83%) among all PBNs in 4 months of freeze-thaw assays. PBN stability could be improved by the compound emulsifier (CS-SE), which offers a theoretical basis for the application of pollock bone broth.

RESUMEN

Previous studies using cognates with the same writing system have found cognate facilitation effect in the lexical processes of spoken and typewritten productions and cognate interference effect in the sub-lexical process of typewritten production. This study focused on cross-script cognates, Chinese-English, which have different writing systems, and explored cognate effects based on the input and output modalities by using a Chinese-English translation task. Experiment 1 was under visual input modality and investigated the cross-script cognate effect in all three output modalities: spoken, typewritten, and handwritten. Results revealed a cognate facilitation effect in the lexical processes across all three output modalities. However, a cognate facilitation effect rather than a cognate interference effect in the sub-lexical process of typewritten production. Experiment 2 was under auditory input modality and focused on exploring cross-script cognate effect on typewritten and handwritten modalities, finding a consistent result on cognate effects with Experiment 1. Both experiments showed higher accuracy for cognates and there was no significant difference in cognate effect between visual and auditory inputs. In summary, these findings indicated that the use of cross-script cognates could effectively mitigate cognate interference. While spoken, handwritten, and typewritten production share lexical processes, differences emerge in sub-lexical processes, with spoken production being less influenced by orthography. Furthermore, combining the results of Experiments 1 and 2, typewritten production may lean towards the phonological route while handwritten production may favor the direct lexical-orthographic route in the sub-lexical processes.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVES: To identify novel genetic elements facilitating the horizontal transfer of the oxazolidinone/phenicol resistance gene optrA and the pleuromutilin-lincosamide-streptogramin A resistance gene lsa(E) in Streptococcus suis. METHODS: The complete genomes of S. suis HB18 and two transconjugants were obtained using both the Illumina and Nanopore platforms. MICs were determined by broth microdilution. Inverse PCR was performed to identify circular forms of the novel unconventional circularizable structure (UCS), genomic island (GI) and integrative and conjugative element (ICE). Conjugation experiments assessed the transferability of optrA and lsa(E) genes in S. suis. RESULTS: S. suis HB18 carried a multiresistance gene cluster optrA-lsa(E)-lnu(B)-aphA-aadE-spw. This gene cluster, flanked by intact and truncated erm(B) in the same orientation, resided on a novel ICESsuHB18. Inverse PCR revealed the existence of a novel UCS, named UCS-optrA + lsa(E), which could excise the gene cluster optrA-lsa(E)-lnu(B)-aphA-aadE-spw and one copy of erm(B) from ICESsuHB18. Two transconjugants with different characteristics were obtained. In transconjugant T-JH-GI, UCS-optrA + lsa(E) excised from ICESsuHB18 inserted into the erm(B)-positive GI, designated GISsuHB18, generating the novel GISsuHB18-1. Meanwhile, in T-JH-ICE, genetic rearrangement events occurred in ICESsuHB18 and GISsuHB18, forming the novel ICESsuHB18-1. CONCLUSIONS: This is the first report demonstrating the functionally active UCS-optrA + lsa(E) excising from ICESsuHB18 and inserting into the erm(B)-positive GISsuHB18 during the conjugation process. The location of optrA and lsa(E) on a multiresistance UCS enhances its persistence and dissemination.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVES: To examine the predictive value of intrinsic capacity decline on functional disability among the elderly. DESIGN: Meta-analysis. METHODS: PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, The Cochrane Library, Wanfang Database, China Knowledge Resource Integrated Database (CNKI), Weipu Database (VIP), and Chinese Biomedical Database (CBM) were searched for relevant studies published from the inception until June 1, 2024. Stata 17.0 software was used to perform the meta-analysis. The methodological quality was evaluated using the Newcastle Ottawa Scale. The overall quality of evidence used GRADE guidelines to assess. A study protocol was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42023475461). RESULTS: The meta-analysis included 8 cohort studies including 9744 elderly people. Functional disability including ADL disability (n = 6) and IADL disability (n = 7). The results showed that intrinsic capacity decline could predict ADL disability (HR = 1.08, 95 %CI 1.04-1.12; I2 = 98.2 %, P < 0.001) and IADL disability (HR = 1.11, 95 %CI 1.05-1.17; I2 = 96.4 %, P < 0.001). The overall risk of bias was low. And the grade of evidence that assessed by GRADE guidelines was rated as moderate. CONCLUSIONS: Intrinsic capacity decline is a predictor of functional disability in the elderly. Therefore, screening intrinsic capacity decline has important clinical implications for early identifying the risk of functional disability, which contributes to providing individualized interventions ahead of potential functional disability for the elderly, thereby preventing functional disability, improving the quality of life and promoting healthy aging.

RESUMEN

Bile acid homeostasis is crucial for the normal physiological functioning of the liver. Disruptions in bile acid profiles are closely linked to the occurrence of cholestatic liver injury. As part of our diagnostic and therapeutic approach, we aimed to investigate the disturbance in bile acid profiles during cholestasis and its correlation with cholestatic liver injury. Before the occurrence of liver injury, alterations in bile acid profiles were detected in both plasma and liver between 8 and 16 h, persisting up to 96 h. TCA, TCDCA, and TUDCA in the plasma, as well as TCA, TUDCA, TCDCA, TDCA, TLCA, and THDCA in the liver, emerged as early sensitive and potential markers for diagnosing ANIT-induced cholestasis at 8-16 h. The distinguishing features of ANIT-induced liver injury were as follows: T-BAs exceeding G-BAs and serum biochemical indicators surpassing free bile acids. Notably, plasma T-BAs, particularly TCA, exhibited higher sensitivity to cholestatic hepatotoxicity compared with serum enzyme activity and liver histopathology. Further investigation revealed that TCA exacerbated ANIT-induced liver injury by elevating liver function enzyme activity, inflammation, and bile duct proliferation and promoting the migration of bile duct epithelial cell. Nevertheless, no morphological changes or alterations in transaminase activity indicative of liver damage were observed in the rats treated with TCA alone. Additionally, there were no changes in bile acid profiles or inflammatory responses under physiological conditions with maintained bile acid homeostasis. In summary, our findings suggest that taurine-conjugated bile acids in both plasma and liver, particularly TCA, can serve as early and sensitive markers for predicting intrahepatic cholestatic drugs and can act as potent exacerbators of cholestatic liver injury progression. However, exogenous TCA does not induce liver injury under physiological conditions where bile acid homeostasis is maintained.

RESUMEN

Background: Previous trials have indicated that multimodal training could improve cognitive functions and moods in individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). However, evidence was mainly obtained from studies in high-income countries. Objective: This trial aims to investigate the efficacy, safety, and potential mechanism of a multimodal intervention on cognitive function in individuals with MCI living in a community. Methods: In this single-blind, randomized controlled trial, 120 participants with MCI were randomly assigned to either the intervention group or the control group. The intervention group received the multimodal intervention, while the control group received regular health education. Neuropsychological tests and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were conducted at baseline and after the 12-week intervention. Results: Fifty-nine and fifty-seven participants respectively in the intervention and control groups completed the trial. The intervention group shown improvements in primary outcome, Mini-Mental State Exam (MMSE) total score (mean difference -0.96, 95% CI [-1.58, -0.34], p = 0.003), and secondary outcomes: MMSE recall (-0.39, 95% CI [-0.71, -0.07], p = 0.019), MMSE language (-0.26, 95% CI [-0.44, -0.07], p = 0.007), Auditory Verbal Learning Test instantaneous memory (-3.30, 95% CI [-5.70, -0.89], p = 0.008), Digit Symbol Substitution Test total score (-2.91, 95% CI [-5.67, -0.15], p = 0.039), digit span forwards (-1.25, 95% CI [-1.93, -0.56], p < 0.001), and Digit Span Test (-1.33, 95% CI [-2.33, -0.34], p = 0.009) compared to the control group. Improvements were observed in structural and functional connectivity related to language, concentration, executive function, memory, and recall functioning via MRI in the intervention group. Conclusions: The multimodal intervention improved cognitive function in individuals with MCI in cognitive performance and neuroimaging.

RESUMEN

The decomposition of macrophytes plays a crucial role in the nutrient cycles of macrophyte-dominated eutrophication lakes. While research on plant decomposition mechanisms and microbial influences has rapid developed, it is curious that plant decomposition models have remained stagnant at the single-stage model from 50 years ago, without endeavor to consider any important factors. Our research conducted in-situ experiments and identified the optimal metrics for decomposition-related microbes, thereby establishing models for microbial impacts on decomposition rates (k_RDR). Using backward elimination in stepwise regression, we found that the optimal subset of independent variables-specifically Gammaproteobacteria-Q-L, Actinobacteriota-Q-L, and Ascomycota-Q-L-increased the adjusted R-squared (Ra2) to 0.93, providing the best modeling for decomposition rate (p = 0.002). Additionally, k_RDR can be modeled by synergic parameters of ACHB-Q-L, LDB-Q-L, and AB-Q-L for bacteria, and SFQ for fungi, albeit with a slightly lower Ra2 of 0.7-0.9 (p < 0.01). The primary contribution of our research lies in two key aspects. Firstly, we introduced optimal metrics for modeling microbes, opting for debris surface microbes over sediment microbes, and prioritizing absolute abundance over relative abundance. Secondly, our model represents a noteworthy advancement in debris modeling. Alongside elucidating the focus and innovative aspects of our work, we also addressed existing limitations and proposed directions for future research. SYNOPSIS: This study explores optimum metrics for decomposition-related microbes, offering precise microbial models for enhanced lake nutrient cycle simulation.

RESUMEN

Lung cancer is the deadliest and most aggressive malignancy in the world. Preventing cancer is crucial. Therefore, the new molecular targets have laid the foundation for molecular diagnosis and targeted therapy of lung cancer. PLA2G1B plays a key role in lipid metabolism and inflammation. PLA2G1B has selective substrate specificity. In this paper, the recombinant protein molecular structure of PLA2G1B was studied and novel therapeutic interventions were designed to disrupt PLA2G1B activity and impede tumor growth by targeting specific regions or residues in its structure. Construct protein-protein interaction networks and core genes using R's "STRING" program. LASSO, SVM-RFE and RF algorithms identified important genes associated with lung cancer. 282 deg were identified. Enrichment analysis showed that these genes were mainly related to adhesion and neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction pathways. PLA2G1B was subsequently identified as developing a preventative feature. GSEA showed that PLA2G1B is closely related to α-linolenic acid metabolism. Through the analysis of LASSO, SVM-RFE and RF algorithms, we found that PLA2G1B gene may be a preventive gene for lung cancer.

RESUMEN

Baloxavir marboxil (BXM) is a cap-dependent nucleic acid endonuclease inhibitor, which exerts its antiviral effects after being metabolized to its active form baloxavir acid (BXA). Ethylenediamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA) and heparin are the two most used anticoagulants in clinical blood sample collection to estimate drug levels in plasma. However, compared to heparin plasma, there is a lack of clinical pharmacokinetic data of BXA using EDTA anticoagulant tubes for blood collection. In the present study, an efficient, rapid, and sensitive ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) method was developed and validated for simultaneous quantification of BXM and its active metabolite BXA in human plasma with its isotopic baloxavir-d5 (BXA-d5) as internal standard (IS). Plasma samples (50 µL) were undergone using acetonitrile containing 0.1 % formic acid a precipitant. Chromatographic separation was achieved by a Waters XBridge®C8 (2.1 mm × 50 mm, 2.5 µm) column. The gradient mobile phase was 0.1 % formic acid in water (A, pH 2.8) and 0.1 % formic acid in acetonitrile (B) and delivered at a flow rate of 0.6 mL/min for 4.5 min. BXM and BXA were monitored using a positive electrospray triple quadrupole mass spectrometer (TRIPLE QUAD™ 6500+) via multiple reaction monitoring mode. The mass-to-charge ratios (m/z) were 572.2→247.0, 484.2→247.0 and 489.2→252.0 for BXM, BXA, and BXA-d5 (IS). Calibration curves exhibited excellent linearity in the range of 0.1-10 ng/mL for BXM (r2 > 0.996), and 0.3-300 ng/mL for BXA (r2 > 0.998). Within-run and between-run precisions in coefficients of variations were less than 11.62 % for BXM and less than 7.47 % for BXA, and accuracies in relative error were determined to be within -7.78 % to 5.70 % for BXM and -6.67 % to 8.56 % for BXA. Extraction recovery efficiency was 92.76 % for BXM, 95.32 % for BXA, and 99.26 % for BXA-d5, respectively. The matrix effect of BXM and BXA was in line with the requirements, where the relative deviation of the accuracy was less than 6.67 % and the precision was less than 6.69 %. The validated efficient and simple UHPLC-MS/MS method was successfully used in the pharmacokinetic study of BXM and BXA in healthy human volunteers with K2EDTA and heparin tubes for blood collection. EDTA might compete with BXA for chelating metal ions and thereby decrease the plasma ratio in whole blood, leading to approximately 50 % lower measurement of pharmacokinetic parameters as compared with those obtained from heparin plasma anticoagulant tubes.

RESUMEN

Ga-doped Li7La3Zr2O12 garnet solid electrolytes exhibit the highest Li-ion conductivities among the oxide-type garnet-structured solid electrolytes, but instabilities toward Li metal hamper their practical application. The instabilities have been assigned to direct chemical reactions between LiGaO2 coexisting phases and Li metal by several groups previously. Yet, the understanding of the role of LiGaO2 in the electrochemical cell and its electrochemical properties is still lacking. Here, we are investigating the electrochemical properties of LiGaO2 through electrochemical tests in galvanostatic cells versus Li metal and complementary ex situ studies via confocal Raman microscopy, quantitative phase analysis based on powder X-ray diffraction, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and electron energy loss spectroscopy. The results demonstrate considerable and surprising electrochemical activity, with high reversibility. A three-stage reaction mechanism is derived, including reversible electrochemical reactions that lead to the formation of highly electronically conducting products. The results have considerable implications for the use of Ga-doped Li7La3Zr2O12 electrolytes in all-solid-state Li-metal battery applications and raise the need for advanced materials engineering to realize Ga-doped Li7La3Zr2O12for practical use.

RESUMEN

Green finance constitutes a fundamental financial institutional arrangement aimed at achieving the dual-carbon objective during China's agricultural transition toward low-carbon, which aligns with the pragmatic necessity for reducing agricultural carbon emissions. For this purpose, this study investigates the impact of green finance on agricultural carbon reduction and its underlying mechanism by analyzing panel data from 30 regions using a two-way fixed effects model. Results indicate that green finance significantly promotes agricultural carbon reduction. The promotion effect of green finance on agricultural carbon reduction demonstrates an uneven spatial distribution, declining from eastern to western to central regions. Notably, non-Yangtze River Economic Belt provinces exhibit more pronounced effects compared to the Yangtze River Economic Belt region. Industrial structure upgrading and green innovation serve as crucial pathways for green finance to augment agricultural carbon reduction. Our finding reveals policymakers should implement differentiated green finance implementation strategies to accelerate the restructuring of the agricultural industry and encourage the introduction and use of innovative low-carbon technologies.
