RESUMEN
Cognitive disorders in elderly subjects with cerebral atherosclerosis confirmed by paraclinical methods and psychological tests are accompanied by sympathicotonia and rhythm desynchronization of RR-intervals in ECG. Biocontrolled IR laser therapy in the projection of frontal and temporal lobes of both hemispheres, internal carotid and vertebral arteries, and superior cervical node reduces sympaticotonia, restores circumhoralian and circadian rhythms of RR-intervals, improved cognitive functions and quality of sleep.

AIM: To assess diagnostic potential of cardiac rhythm symbolic dynamics. MATERIAL AND METHODS: PhysyoNet base data on ECG heart rhythm for 24 hours were analysed by characteristics of the symbolic lines: size of vocabularies and entropic properties of symbol distribution in the lines. The following ECGs were analysed: 54 ECGs of healthy individuals with normal sinus rhythm aged 28.5-76 years; 44 ECGs of patients with congestive cardiac failure aged 34-79 years; 84 ECGs of patients with cardiac fibrillation aged 34-79 years; 19 ECGs of patients with sudden cardiac death syndrome aged 34-79 years. RESULTS: The index of variety of cardiac rhythm regulation is proposed which is effective not only for analysis of 24-h but also of 40-60 min rhythmograms. CONCLUSION: The quantitative analysis of symbolic dynamics can be used for differential chronodiagnosis of different cardiac diseases. Application of words which vary by length allows examination of rhythms with different time scale, detection and comparison of hierarchical desynchronization.

Circahoralian oscillations of various indices describing variations of interpulse, respiratory, and R-R intervals were recorded in normal subjects, in hypertensive patients, and in patients rehabilitating after cardiac infarction. The parameters of these rhythms reflect changes in the status of autonomic nervous system, correlate with pathological disturbances in circadian rhythm, and accompany the sleep-wake and wake-sleep transitions. In assessment of circadian rhythm parameters, the most informative are the plots of changes in Pierson correlation coefficients of interpulse and R-R intervals. The 5-min ECG segments recorded at various phases of circahoralian rhythm are subjected to circahoralian variations and can distort diagnostics.

Morphological correlations of functional regulation of oxygen consumption have been investigated in single of isolated crustacean stretch receptor neuron. The increase in oxygen consumption is promoted by: 1) redistribution of mitochondria and increase in cytochrome oxidase (CO) activity in mitochondria near to the plasmatic membrane; 2) coordination of mitochondria aggregation rhythms with pO2 rhythms in external environment of a cell; 3) reduction of the area with high CO and mitochondria activity, and reduction of the way of oxygen diffusion; 4) increase in CO activity gradient from periphery to the center of the neuron body; 5) carry of oxygen by water current under hydration of the neuron body, and cytoplasm dilution under transition of a part of gel in sol; 6) cyclic changes in the neuron body and hillock sizes ratio determining carry of oxygen by water current into the neuron body, oxygen absorption by mitochondria in the neuron body, and transition of the water released from oxygen from the neuron body into hillock and further into the external environment.

The neuron's integrative function is directly related to circumhoralian rhythms of energy and plastic processes in the neuron's soma. The neuron's excitability and its integral reaction to a test stimulus are determined by the energy-dependent accumulation of calcium ions and decreased aggregation of tigroid and mitochondria, as well as by changes in the soma and axon hill geometry. Upon synchronization of functional load and energy of the cell, an increased excitability of the neuron and formation of a temporal relationship are possible.

Superoxide dismutase activity in blood red cells of patients with urethral strictures reflects the disease severity and the response to relevant treatment. Antioxidant therapy with dibunol on the first postoperative days, administration of vitamin E before and after the operation and laser biocontrolled chronotherapy for 2 weeks before and after the operation with repetition in 1-2 months are recommended in addition to conventional treatment to reduce probability of complications and recurrences after surgical treatment of urethral strictures.

Treatment of neuritis of nervus medianus goes on much faster if biocontrolled regimen of laser therapy synchronization with blood rhythms of the patient is introduced. Estimation of the nervus conductivity recovery rate and muscular contractility was based on the data obtained at broadened electrodiagnosis with sinusoidal modulated currents.
