RESUMEN

Obligate biotrophs depend on living hosts for nutrient acquisition to complete their lifecycle, yet the mechanisms by which hosts restrict nutrient availability to pathogens remain largely unknown. The fungal pathogen Sporisorium reilianum infects maize seedlings and causes head smut disease in inflorescences at maturity, while a cell wall-associated kinase, ZmWAK, provides quantitative resistance against it. Here, we demonstrate that S. reilianum can rapidly activate ZmWAK kinase activity, which is sustained by the 407th Threonine residue in the juxtamembrane domain, enabling it to interact with and phosphorylate ZmSnRK1α2, a conserved sucrose non-fermenting-related kinase α subunit. The activated ZmSnRK1α2 translocates from the cytoplasm to the nucleus, where it phosphorylates and destabilizes the transcription factor ZmWRKY53. The reduced ZmWRKY53 abundance leads to the downregulation of genes involved in transmembrane transport and carbohydrate metabolism, resulting in nutrient starvation for S. reilianum in the apoplast. Our study uncovers a WAK-SnRK1α2-WRKY53 signaling module in maize that conveys phosphorylation cascades from the plasma membrane to the nuclei to confer resistance against head-smut in maize, with profound implications for crop management and application.

Generation of induced renal epithelial cells (iRECs) from fibroblasts offers great opportunities for renal disease modeling and kidney regeneration. However, the low reprogramming efficiency of the current approach to generate iRECs has hindered potential therapeutic application and regenerative approach. This could be in part attributed to heterogeneous and unbalanced expression of reprogramming factors (RFs) Hnf1ß (H1), Emx2 (E), Pax8 (P), and Hnf4α (H4) in transduced fibroblasts. Here, we establish an advanced retroviral vector system that expresses H1, E, P, and H4 in high levels and distinct ratios from bicistronic transcripts separated by P2A. Mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) harboring Cdh16-Cre; mT/mG allele are utilized to conduct iREC reprogramming via directly monitoring single cell fate conversion. Three sets of bicistronic RF combinations including H1E/H4P, H1H4/EP, and H1P/H4E have been generated to induce iREC reprogramming. Each of the RF combinations gives rise to distinct H1, E, P, and H4 expression levels and different reprogramming efficiencies. The desired H1E/H4P combination that results in high expression levels of RFs with balanced stoichiometry. substantially enhances the efficiency and quality of iRECs compared with transduction of separate H1, E, P, and H4 lentiviruses. We find that H1E/H4P-induced iRECs exhibit the superior features of renal tubular epithelial cells, as evidenced by expressing renal tubular-specific genes, possessing endocytotic arrogation activity and assembling into tubules along decellularized kidney scaffolds. This study establishes H1E/H4P cassette as a valuable platform for future iREC studies and regenerative medicine.

Skeletal muscle development is spotlighted in mammals since it closely relates to animal health and economic benefits to the breeding industry. Researchers have successfully unveiled many regulatory factors and mechanisms involving myogenesis. However, the effect of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification, especially demethylase and its regulated genes, on muscle development remains to be further explored. Here, we found that the typical demethylase FTO (fat mass- and obesity-associated protein) was highly enriched in goats' longissimus dorsi (LD) muscles. In addition, the level of m6A modification on transcripts was negatively regulated by FTO during the proliferation of goat skeletal muscle satellite cells (MuSCs). Moreover, a deficiency of FTO in MuSCs significantly retarded their proliferation and promoted the expression of dystrophin-associated protein 1 (DAG1). m6A modifications of DAG1 mRNA were efficiently altered by FTO. Intriguingly, the results of DAG1 levels and its m6A enrichment from FB23-2 (FTO demethylase inhibitor)-treated cells were consistent with those of the FTO knockdown, indicating that the regulation of FTO on DAG1 depended on m6A modification. Further experiments showed that interfering FTO improved m6A modification at site DAG1-122, recognized by Insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 1 (IGF2BP1) and consequently stabilized DAG1 transcripts. Our study suggests that FTO promotes the proliferation of MuSCs by regulating the expression of DAG1 through m6A modification. This will extend our knowledge of the m6A-related mechanism of skeletal muscle development in animals.

The severity of environmental pollution caused by TiO2 nanoparticles (nTiO2) is increasing, highlighting the urgent need for the development of strategies to combat nTiO2 pollution. Insights into resistance molecules from nTiO2-tolerant strains may facilitate such development. In this study, we utilized multi-omics, genetic manipulation, physiological and biochemical experiments to identify relevant resistance molecules in two strains (Physarum polycephalum Z259 and T83) tolerated to mixed-phase nTiO2 (MPnTiO2). We discovered that a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network, comprising one long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), four microRNAs, and nine mRNAs, influenced metabolic rearrangement and was associated with significant resistance in these strains. Additionally, we found that the lncRNA in the ceRNAs network and certain small-weight metabolites associated with the ceRNA exhibited notable mitigation effects not only against MPnTiO2 but also against other types of nTiO2 with broad species applicability (they significantly improved the resistance of several non-nTiO2-tolerant cells/organisms in the laboratory and reduced cell damage of non-nTiO2-tolerant cells/organisms in highly suspected nTiO2-polluted areas of the real world). In summary, this study deepens our understanding of nTiO2-tolerant strains, provides valuable insights into resistance molecules in these strains, and facilitates the development of strategies to combat nTiO2 pollution.

Two endophytes from the same Ginkgo biloba host were isolated and cultured separately. Three new eremophilane sesquiterpenoids (1-3), three new furan derivates (6, 8-9), one new polyketide (10), and four known compounds (4, 5, 7, 11) from Paraphaeosphaeria sp. and two new 10-membered macrolides (12-13), a new liner polyketide (14), a new benzofuran (15), and six known compounds (16-21) from Nigrospora oryzae were isolated. The structures of the isolated compounds were determined by spectroscopic methods, NMR calculations, and ECD calculations. The compounds 3-7, 9-10, 12, and 14-17 showed significant antiphytopathogenic effects against mycotoxigenic Alternaria sp. comparable to the activity of nystatin (positive control). Compounds 2, 6, 8, 9, and 18 indicated inhibitions against phytopathogen Fusarium asiaticum with MICs < 10 µg/mL. In addition, the compounds with weak antifungal activities from two endophytes were mixed to test their antifungal activity. The results showed that the metabolites from two endophytes had synergistic antifungal effects, and the beneficial interactions between natural products can induce more antifungal effects against plant pathogens than that of single compounds.

The process of skeletal muscle development is intricate and involves the regulation of a diverse array of genes. Accurate gene expression profiles are crucial for studying muscle development, making it essential to choose the right reference genes for real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR). In the present study, eight candidate reference genes were identified from our previous transcriptome sequencing analysis of caprine skeletal muscle satellite cells (MuSCs), and two traditional reference genes (ACTB and GAPDH) were assessed. The quantitative levels of the candidate reference genes were determined through the RT-qPCR technique, while the stability of their expression was evaluated utilizing the GeNorm, NormFinder, BestKeeper, and RefFinder programs. Furthermore, the chosen reference genes were utilized for the normalization of the gene expression levels of PCNA and Myf5. It was determined that conventional reference genes, including ACTB and GAPDH, were not appropriate for normalizing target gene expression. Conversely, RPL14 and RPS15A, identified through RNA sequencing analysis, exhibited minimal variability and were identified as the optimal reference genes for normalizing gene expression during the proliferation and differentiation of goat MuSCs. Our research offers a validated panel of optimal reference genes for the detection of differentially expressed genes in goat muscle satellite cells using RT-qPCR.

The circular RNA (circRNA) plays a crucial role in various biological processes, particularly posttranscriptional regulation. However, the role of circRNA in the development of goat skeletal muscle has not been thoroughly explored. Here, we identified circPAPD7, which is a novel circular RNA that is preferentially expressed in the skeletal muscle. Functional assays demonstrated that circPAPD7 promoted proliferation and inhibited differentiation in goat skeletal muscle satellite cells (MuSCs). Mechanistically, it was discovered that circPAPD7 interacts with miR-26a-5p. Moreover, the rescue experiments indicated that the overexpression of circPAPD7 may reverse the inhibitory impact of miR-26a-5p on myoblast proliferation and the accelerated effects on differentiation. Furthermore, we provided evidence that circPAPD7 functions as a sponge for miR-26a-5p, thereby facilitating the upregulation of EZH2 expression in goat MuSCs. Together, the results revealed that circPAPD7 promote proliferation and inhibit differentiation of goat MuSCs via the miR-26a-5p/EZH2 pathway.

The synchronous co-culture of Daldinia eschscholtzii and Colletotrichum pseudomajus produced one new linear polyketide, eschscholin C (1), along with three known compounds (2-4). One new acorane sesquiterpene, coldaldrin A (5), and one new amide derivative, coldaldamide A (6) as the probe for polyketide intermediate capture, and three known compounds (7-9) were isolated from the sequential co-culture of D. eschscholtzii with C. pseudomajus. The structures and absolute configurations of 1, 5 and 6 were established by spectroscopic analysis including 1D, 2D NMR, the calculations of the NMR, and ECD data. Most compounds showed significant antifungal activities against the tea pathogens C. pseudomajus, and Fusarium asiaticum with MICs of 2-8 µg/mL. Compound 4 also showed antifeedant activity against silkworms with feeding deterrence indices of 79% at the concentration of 50 µg/cm2.

Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) is a prominent photocatalyst that has attracted substantial interest in the field of photocatalytic environmental remediation due to the low cost of fabrication, robust chemical structure, adaptable and tunable energy bandgaps, superior photoelectrochemical properties, cost-effective feedstocks, and distinctive framework. Nonetheless, the practical application of bulk g-C3N4 in the photocatalysis field is limited by the fast recombination of photogenerated e--h+ pairs, insufficient surface-active sites, and restricted redox capacity. Consequently, a great deal of research has been devoted to solving these scientific challenges for large-scale applications. This review concisely presents the latest advancements in g-C3N4-based photocatalyst modification strategies, and offers a comprehensive analysis of the benefits and preparation techniques for each strategy. It aims to articulate the complex relationship between theory, microstructure, and activities of g-C3N4-based photocatalysts for atmospheric protection. Finally, both the challenges and opportunities for the development of g-C3N4-based photocatalysts are highlighted. It is highly believed that this special review will provide new insight into the synthesis, modification, and broadening of g-C3N4-based photocatalysts for atmospheric protection.

Seven previously undescribed compounds, including one amino acid hybrid sesquiterpene areolatol A (1), two unusual natural sesquiterpenoid skeleton areolatones A-B (2-3) and four benzo[j]fluoranthene areolaranes A-D (4-7) were characterized from Annulohypoxylon areolatum. The structures of the compounds were determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, and ECD and NMR computational. Notably, areolatol A (1) was the first reported sesquiterpene featuring a 5/7/3-ring system and hybridized with two molecular amino acids. In addition, areolaranes A-D (4-7) were identified as possible chemophenetic markers.

Maize rough dwarf disease (MRDD) threatens maize production globally. The P7-1 effector of the rice black-streaked dwarf virus (RBSDV) targets maize Rab GDP dissociation inhibitor alpha (ZmGDIα) to cause MRDD. However, P7-1 has difficulty recruiting a ZmGDIα variant with an alternative helitron-derived exon 10 (ZmGDIα-hel), resulting in recessive resistance. Here, we demonstrate that P7-1 can recruit another maize protein, gibberellin 2-oxidase 13 (ZmGA2ox7.3), which also exhibits tighter binding affinity for ZmGDIα than ZmGDIα-hel. The oligomerization of ZmGA2ox7.3 is vital for its function in converting bioactive gibberellins into inactive forms. Moreover, the enzymatic activity of ZmGA2ox7.3 oligomers increases when forming hetero-oligomers with P7-1/ZmGDIα, but decreases when ZmGDIα-hel replaces ZmGDIα. Viral infection significantly promotes ZmGA2ox7.3 expression and oligomerization in ZmGDIα-containing susceptible maize, resulting in reduced bioactive GA1/GA4 levels. This causes an auxin/cytokinin imbalance and ultimately manifests as MRDD syndrome. Conversely, in resistant maize, ZmGDIα-hel counters these virus-induced changes, thereby mitigating MRDD severity.

Domestic animals have multiple phenotypes of skin and coat color, which arise from different genes and their products, such as proteins and metabolites responsible with melanin deposition. However, the complex regulatory network of melanin synthesis remains to be fully unraveled. Here, the skin and tongue tissues of Liangshan black sheep (black group) and Liangshan semi-fine-wool sheep (pink group) were collected, stained with hematoxylin-eosin (HE) and Masson-Fontana, and the transcriptomic and metabolomic data were further analyzed. We found a large deposit of melanin granules in the epidermis of the black skin and tongue. Transcriptome and metabolome analysis identified 744 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and 443 differentially expressed metabolites (DEMs) between the pink and black groups. Gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses revealed the DEGs and DEMs were mainly enriched in the pathways of secondary metabolic processes, melanin biosynthesis processes, melanin metabolism processes, melanosome membranes, pigment granule membranes, melanosome, tyrosine metabolism, and melanogenesis. Notably, we revealed the gene ENSARG00020006042 may be a family member of YWHAs and involved in regulating melanin deposition. Furthermore, several essential genes (TYR, TYRP1, DCT, PMEL, MLANA, SLC45A2) were significantly associated with metabolite prostaglandins and compounds involved in sheep pigmentation. These findings provide new evidence of the strong correlation between prostaglandins and related compounds and key genes that regulate sheep melanin synthesis, furthering our understanding of the regulatory mechanisms and molecular breeding of pigmentation in sheep.

3-dB couplers, which are commonly used in photonic integrated circuits for on-chip information processing, precision measurement, and quantum computing, face challenges in achieving robust performance due to their limited 3-dB bandwidths and sensitivity to fabrication errors. To address this, we introduce topological physics to nanophotonics, developing a framework for topological 3-dB couplers. These couplers exhibit broad working wavelength range and robustness against fabrication dimensional errors. By leveraging valley-Hall topology and mirror symmetry, the photonic-crystal-slab couplers achieve ideal 3-dB splitting characterized by a wavelength-insensitive scattering matrix. Tolerance analysis confirms the superiority on broad bandwidth of 48 nm and robust splitting against dimensional errors of 20 nm. We further propose a topological interferometer for on-chip distance measurement, which also exhibits robustness against dimensional errors. This extension of topological principles to the fields of interferometers, may open up new possibilities for constructing robust wavelength division multiplexing, temperature-drift-insensitive sensing, and optical coherence tomography applications.

Emotional intelligence is considered as an important factor impacting on sports motivation of students-athletes. Meanwhile the role of culture in the development of emotional intelligence is still insufficiently studied in sports psychology. The purpose of the study included comparing the indicators of emotional intelligence of student-athletes in China and Russia, identifying the relationship between emotional intelligence, sports motivation and physical activity, as well as studying the prognostic effect of emotional intelligence on autonomous motivation. The research was done among 474 student- athletes. In Chinese students sample (N = 281), the 163 men and 118 women. In the Russian student sample (N = 193), there were 64 men and 129 women. The following research methods were used: emotional intelligence scale, the sport motivation scale-6, the international physical activity questionnaire. The results of the study have showed that the level of emotional intelligence of Chinese student-athletes is higher than that of Russian students-athletes. Positive correlations between emotional intelligence, autonomous motivation and physical activity were found in both samples. At the same time, the correlation coefficient in the Russian sample was lower. A predictive relationship between emotional intelligence and autonomous motivation has been established; meanwhile the self-assessment of emotions and emotion regulation make the greatest contribution to autonomous motivation in the Chinese sample, while in the Russian sample there is only the use of emotions. Considering the cultural context can contribute to the preparation effective programs for the development of emotional intelligence and autonomous motivation for physical activity.

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy has been confirmed improving remission rates in refractory patients or relapsed B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (R/R B-ALL). However, the added benefits of undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) following CAR-T therapy remain a subject of debate. In this research we investigated the efficiency and long-term outcomes of CD19 CAR-T bridging with allo-HSCT in R/R B-ALL patients. A total of 42 patients were brought into the cohort studies. Our findings revealed that patients who appected CAR-T followed by HSCT had a 1-year overall survival (OS) rate of 70 % and a 1-year leukemia-free survival (LFS) rate of 95 %. Moreover, patients who underwent this combined treatment had higher OS and LFS rates compared to those who received CAR-T therapy alone. In conclusion, the results of this clinical trial provide compelling evidence for the safety and efficacy of using CAR-T therapy as a bridging strategy to allo-HSCT in patients with R/R B-ALL.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) plays a pivotal role in the accurate measurement of brain subcortical structures in macaques, which is crucial for unraveling the complexities of brain structure and function, thereby enhancing our understanding of neurodegenerative diseases and brain development. However, due to significant differences in brain size, structure, and imaging characteristics between humans and macaques, computational tools developed for human neuroimaging studies often encounter obstacles when applied to macaques. In this context, we propose an Anatomy Attentional Fusion Network (AAF-Net), which integrates multimodal MRI data with anatomical constraints in a multi-scale framework to address the challenges posed by the dynamic development, regional heterogeneity, and age-related size variations of the juvenile macaque brain, thus achieving precise subcortical segmentation. Specifically, we generate a Signed Distance Map (SDM) based on the initial rough segmentation of the subcortical region by a network as an anatomical constraint, providing comprehensive information on positions, structures, and morphology. Then we construct AAF-Net to fully fuse the SDM anatomical constraints and multimodal images for refined segmentation. To thoroughly evaluate the performance of our proposed tool, over 700 macaque MRIs from 19 datasets were used in this study. Specifically, we employed two manually labeled longitudinal macaque datasets to develop the tool and complete four-fold cross-validations. Furthermore, we incorporated various external datasets to demonstrate the proposed tool's generalization capabilities and promise in brain development research. We have made this tool available as an open-source resource at https://github.com/TaoZhong11/Macaque_subcortical_segmentation for direct application.

During the cold chain storage process, changes in metabolites and microorganisms are highly likely to lead to changes in meat quality. To elucidate the changes in the composition of metabolites and microbiota during cold chain storage of mutton, this study utilized untargeted metabolome and 5R 16S rRNA sequencing analyses to investigate the changes in the longissimus dorsi under different cold chain temperatures (4 °C and -20 °C). With the extension of cold chain storage time, the meat color darkened and the content of C18:2n-6, C20:3n-6, and C23:0 were significantly increased in mutton. In this study, nine metabolites, including 1,2-Dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine, alanylphenylala-nine, indole-3-acrylic acid and the others, were significantly altered during cold chain storage. The abundance of the dominant microorganisms, including Brachymonas, Aeromonas, Corynebacterium and Steroidobacter, was significantly altered. Furthermore, a high correlation was observed between the different metabolites and microorganisms. These findings provide an in-depth understanding of the effects of different cold chain storage temperatures and times on the quality of mutton.

Background: Clinically, the diagnosis and treatment of cholangiocarcinoma are generally different according to the location of occurrence, and the studies rarely consider the differences between different pathological types. Cholangiocarcinomas in large- and middle-sized intrahepatic bile ducts are mostly mucinous, while in small sized bile duct are not; mucinous extrahepatic cholangiocarcinomas are also more common than mucinous intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. However, it is unclear whether these pathological type differences are related to the prognosis. Methods: Data of total 22509 patients was analyzed from Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results program database out of which 22299 patients were diagnosed with common adeno cholangiocarcinoma while 210 were diagnosed with mucinous cholangiocarcinoma. Based on the propensity score matching (PSM) analysis, between these two groups' clinical, demographic, and therapeutic features were contrasted. The data were analyzed using Cox and LASSO regression analysis and Kaplan-Meier survival curves. Ultimately, overall survival (OS) and cancer specific survival (CSS) related prognostic models were established and validated in test and external datasets and nomograms were created to forecast these patients' prognosis. Results: There was no difference in prognosis between mucinous cholangiocarcinoma and adeno cholangiocarcinoma. Therefore, we constructed prognostic model and nomogram that can be used for mucinous and adeno cholangiocarcinoma at the same time. By comparing the 9 independent key characteristics i.e. Age, tumor size, the number of primary tumors, AJCC stage, Grade, lymph node status, metastasis, surgery and chemotherapy, risk scores were calculated for each individual. By integrating these two pathological types in OS and CSS prognostic models, effective prognosis prediction results could be achieved in multiple datasets (OS: AUC 0.70-0.87; CSS: AUC 0.74-0.89). Conclusion: Age, tumor size, the number of primary tumors, AJCC stage, Grade, lymph node status, metastasis, surgery and chemotherapy are the independent prognostic factors in OS or CSS of the patients with mucinous and ordinary cholangiocarcinoma. Nomogram that can be used for mucinous and adeno cholangiocarcinoma at the same time is of significance in clinical practice and management of cholangiocarcinoma.

BACKGROUND: The CRC-VTE trial conducted in China revealed a significant occurrence of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients following colorectal cancer (CRC) surgery, raising concerns about implementing thromboprophylaxis measures. The present study aimed to identify and analyze inappropriate aspects of current thromboprophylaxis practices. METHODS: This study performed an analysis of the CRC-VTE trial, a prospective multicenter study that enrolled 1836 patients who underwent CRC surgery. The primary objective was to identify independent risk factors for VTE after CRC surgery using multivariate logistic regression analysis. Furthermore, among the cases in which VTE occurred, the appropriateness of thromboprophylaxis was assessed based on several factors, including pharmacologic prophylaxis, time to initiate prophylaxis, drug selection, drug dosage, and duration of pharmacologic prophylaxis. Based on the analysis of the current state of thromboprophylaxis and relevant clinical guidelines, a modified Delphi method was used to develop a clinical pathway for VTE prophylaxis after CRC surgery. RESULTS: In this analysis of 1836 patients, 205 (11.2%) were diagnosed with VTE during follow-up. The multifactorial analysis identified several independent risk factors for VTE, including age (≥70 years), female sex, varicose veins in the lower extremities, intraoperative blood transfusion, and the duration of immobilization exceeding 24 h. None of the patients diagnosed with VTE in the CRC trial received adequate thromboprophylaxis. The main reasons for this inappropriate practice were the omission of thromboprophylaxis, delayed initiation, and insufficient duration of thromboprophylaxis. We developed a specialized clinical pathway for thromboprophylaxis after CRC surgery to address these issues. CONCLUSIONS: This study offers a comprehensive nationwide evaluation of existing thromboprophylaxis practices in patients after CRC surgery in China. A specialized clinical pathway was developed to address the identified gaps and improve the quality of care. This clinical pathway incorporates explicit, tailored, detailed recommendations for thromboprophylaxis after CRC surgery.

Objective: To study the clinical effectiveness of the 4P nursing model combined with Amisulpride and Clozapine in the management of psychiatric patients. Method: 100 patients with refractory schizophrenia treated in the Psychiatry department of Ganzhou People's Hospital from January 3, 2021, to January 4, 2022, were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into observation and control groups, with 50 patients in each group. The clinical efficacy in the two groups was then assessed and compared using such parameters as the PANSS score, body mass index (BMI), blood lipid levels, incidence of side effects, and nursing satisfaction scores. Results: The difference in total treatment efficacy was statistically significant (χ2=11.724, 9.458, P ≤ .001, RR0.24, 95%CI (0.117-0.363)). The post-treatment PANSS score, positive symptom score, negative symptom score, and general pathological score treatment were all lower than the pre-treatment scores in both groups. The difference was statistically significant (RR0.12, 95%CI (0.098-0.203)). There was a reduction in the BMI of patients in the observation group after treatment, while there was an increase in that of patients in the control group. However, after treatment, there were significant reductions in the concentrations of T-CHO, LDL-C, and HDL-C in both groups (all P < .05, RR0.26, 95%CI (0.156-0.371)), with more significant reductions seen in the observation group than in the control group. The patients in the observation group recorded a much lower incidence of such side effects as drowsiness, nausea and vomiting, constipation, and weight gain and were more satisfied with the nursing they received as compared to their counterparts in the control group (all P < .05, RR0.28, 95%CI (0.171-0.351)). Conclusion: The 4P nursing model combined with Amisulpride and Clozapine can improve adherence to treatment, as well as the overall effectiveness of treatment. This nursing method has a high safety profile, improves the quality of life, and its use deserves more widespread promotion.
