RESUMEN

In Mexico, it is not known which institutions use animals for scientific purposes. This work reports, based on data requested from the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI), the types of institutions that use animals for research and how many of these have an ethics committee. Research centres, colleges, hospitals, national institutes, technical colleges, and public universities are the types of institutions that report using animals for experimentation. Only 54% of institutions have ethics committees. Mexican institutions from 2015 to 2021 used a total of 2,112,786 animals. Mammals are the most widely used animal group. The scientific purposes for using animals depend on the type of institution that uses them. In Mexico, it is necessary to update the regulations in order to regulate the use, protection and the care of laboratory animals.


En México se desconoce cuáles son las instituciones que utilizan animales con fines científicos. Se reporta, a partir de datos solicitados al Instituto Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos Personales (INAI), los tipos de instituciones que usan animales y cuántas poseen un comité interno para el cuidado y uso de los animales de laboratorio. Los centros de investigación, colegios, hospitales, institutos nacionales, tecnológicos y universidades públicas son los tipos de instituciones que reportaron usar animales. El 54% de las instituciones poseen comités de ética. Un total de 2,112,786 animales fueron usados por instituciones del 2015 al 2021. Los mamíferos es el grupo animal más utilizado. El uso de los animales se encuentra en función del tipo de institución que los utiliza. En México, es necesario actualizar la normatividad, con el fin de regular el uso, la protección y el cuidado de los animales de laboratorio.

This study examines the relationship between institutional trust from an individual and societal perspective and perceived corruption and climate attitudes of individuals in Latin America. To this end, multilevel modeling was used to test whether the attitudes of individuals from 285 regions of Latin America are influenced by these constructs. Based on the results, it was found that in contrast to studies in developed countries, where institutional trust is positively associated with pro-climate attitudes, in Latin America institutional trust acts as an inhibiting factor and is inversely related to climate attitudes. Furthermore, the perception of corruption in public institutions was also identified as a factor inhibiting collective action to combat climate change. Moderation analysis revealed that individuals' level of education significantly influences this relationship, with a notable difference in climate attitudes between individuals with low and high levels of trust, especially among those with less education. These findings highlight the importance of taking regional specificities into account when examining the relationship between institutional trust, perceptions of corruption, and climate attitudes, and underscore the need for public policies that promote transparency and accountability of institutions to foster effective collective action on climate change.

Objetives: The adoption of vaccines was a crucial factor in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic. However, vaccination rates between rural and urban areas varied greatly. In this paper, our objective is to understand the individual and institutional factors associated with the uptake of vaccines in remote rural areas in Colombia. Methods: We interviewed a random sample of 800 households (1,592 individuals) in remote rural areas of Antioquia (Colombia) during February 2022 when vaccinations were available. Then, we use a linear probability model to explain the uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine. Results: The results indicate that the probability of having at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is positively associated with access to information, trust in police and army, and the perceived risk of contracting COVID-19. Trust in the church is negatively related to vaccination. Conclusion: Institutions can play a critical role in the management of pandemics. Timely information on the risks associated with the disease and perceived riskiness are key factors that mobilize the population to take the COVID-19 vaccine.

Introduction: With the reopening of schools during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, it was imperative to understand the role of students and education professionals in the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In this paper, we determined the seroprevalence of the SARS-CoV-2 anti-nucleocapsid antibodies in the school community in Campo Grande, the capital and most populous city of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul (Brazil) and evaluated its association with sex, school level, and school type. Materials and methods: The survey was carried out in 20 public and private schools in the urban region of Campo Grande using the TR DPP® COVID-19 immunoglobulin M/immunoglobulin G (IgM/IgG) kit from the Immunobiological Technology Institute (Bio-Manguinhos, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). Testing was carried out in three periods: from October to December 2021; from March to July 2022; and from August to November 2022. The participants were students aged 6-17 years enrolled in primary or secondary schools and professionals of different ages and roles. Results: During the first testing period, 162 participants were seropositive for the IgM and/or IgG anti-nucleocapsid SARS-CoV-2 antibodies, with an estimated seroprevalence of 19.6% using Bayesian multilevel regression. In the second period, 251 participants were seropositive (estimated seroprevalence, 34.6%), while in the third period, 393 participants were seroconverted (estimated seroprevalence, 56.7%). In 2022, there was an increase in the seroconversion rate compared to that in 2021. The most frequently described acute manifestations in the three periods were fever, headache, sore throat, and runny nose. In terms of the demographic profile, there was no predominance of seropositivity between the sexes, although women represented approximately 70% of the study population. There were also no differences between students and school staff. Discussion: The results made it possible to evaluate the extent of SARS-CoV-2 transmission in the school community through immunity developed against the virus, in addition to providing information about COVID-19 symptoms in children, adolescents, and adults.

Objetivo: analisar um instrumento orientador para a Simulação Realística em Saúde utilizado por uma Instituição de Ensino Superior. Método: estudo descritivo, qualitativo com participação de 23 profissionais com Graduação na área da saúde e experiência em simulação realística. A coleta de dados, via questionário on-line, ocorreu no período de março a junho de 2020. Utilizou-se a análise de conteúdo temático-categorial. Resultados: o instrumento contempla as etapas necessárias para o cotidiano do ensino em simulação. A categoria "Itens imprescindíveis para o planejamento da simulação" engloba.: preparo do cenário simulado; atuação dos docentes/facilitadores no briefing e no desenvolvimento do cenário simulado; atuação dos docentes/facilitadores no debriefing; e avaliação da simulação. Conclusão: o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa possibilitou adequação das dimensões do Isimula favorecendo clareza às etapas necessárias à simulação e contribui para apoiar docentes/facilitadores no planejamento, desenvolvimento e avaliação da simulação, em diferentes contextos de atenção à saúde.


Objective: to analyze a guiding instrument for Realistic Simulation in Health used by a Higher Education Institution. Method: this was a descriptive, qualitative study involving 23 professionals with a degree in healthcare and experience in realistic simulation. Data was collected via an online questionnaire between March and June 2020. Thematic-categorical content analysis was used. Results: the instrument covers the necessary steps for day-to-day simulation teaching. The category "Essential items for planning the simulation" includes: preparing the simulated scenario; the role of teachers/facilitators in briefing and developing the simulated scenario; the role of teachers/facilitators in debriefing; and evaluating the simulation. Conclusion: the development of this research enabled the dimensions of Isimula to be adapted, favoring clarity in the stages necessary for simulation and helping to support teachers/facilitators in the planning, development and evaluation of simulation in different healthcare contexts.


Objetivos:analizar un instrumento de orientación para la Simulación Realista en Salud utilizado por una Institución de Enseñanza Superior. Método: estudio descriptivo y cualitativo en el que participaron 23 profesionales con titulación sanitaria y experiencia en simulación realista. Los datos se recogieron a través de un cuestionario online entre marzo y junio de 2020. Se utilizó análisis de contenido temático-categorial. Resultados: el instrumento recoge los pasos necesarios para el día a día de la enseñanza de la simulación. La categoría "Elementos esenciales para la planificación de la simulación" incluye: la preparación del escenario simulado; el papel de los profesores/facilitadores en la información y el desarrollo del escenario simulado; el papel de los profesores/facilitadores en el debriefing; y la evaluación de la simulación. Conclusión: el desarrollo de esta investigación permitió adaptar las dimensiones de Isimula, favoreciendo la claridad en las etapas necesarias para la simulación y ayudando a apoyar a los profesores/facilitadores en la planificación, desarrollo y evaluación de la simulación en diferentes contextos sanitarios.

RESUMO: O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar a trajetória das legislações relativas ao ensino superior no Brasil e suas contribuições para o processo de privatização do ensino, além de descrever os principais grupos empresariais no ramo da educação superior no país. Para isso, realizou-se um estudo exploratório de análise documental das legislações e documentos disponíveis on-line, publicados entre 1961 e 2023. Desde a década de 1960, editou-se um conjunto de 29 atos normativos (leis, projetos de leis, decretos, portarias e medidas provisórias) referentes à educação. Ao longo dos anos, todos os governos brasileiros implementaram atos que favoreceram o processo de privatização e o surgimento de grandes conglomerados econômicos de ensino. A intensa privatização do ensino superior se relaciona intimamente com a trajetória dos instrumentos normativos editados por diferentes governos. As legislações moldaram o sistema educacional do país e permitiram a flexibilização dos processos de criação e expansão de instituições, cursos e vagas. Por conseguinte, surgiram grandes grupos empresariais no ramo da educação, detentores de crescentes capitais financeiros que atuam em todas as áreas de formação e, em alguns casos, até se especializando na educação em saúde.


ABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to analyze the trajectory of legislation related to higher education in Brazil and its contributions to the privatization of education, in addition to describing the leading business groups in the field of higher education in the country. For this, an exploratory study of documentary analysis of the legislation and online documents was carried out and published between 1961 and 2023. Since the 1960s, a set of 29 normative acts (laws, bills, decrees, ordinances and provisional measures) related to education have been issued. Over the years, all Brazilian governments have implemented acts that favored the privatization process and the emergence of large economic education conglomerates. The intense privatization of higher education is closely related to the trajectory of normative instruments issued by different governments. Legislation shaped the country's educational system and allowed the flexibility of the processes of creation and expansion of institutions, courses and vacancies. Therefore, large business groups have emerged in the field of education, with growing financial capital working in all areas of training and, in some cases, even specializing in health education.


RESUMEN: El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la historia de la legislación sobre educación superior en Brasil y sus contribuciones al proceso de privatización de la educación, así como describir los principales grupos empresariales en el ámbito de la educación superior en el país. Para ello, se realizó un estudio de carácter exploratorio con el análisis documental de la legislación y los documentos disponibles en línea, publicados entre 1961 y 2023. Desde la década de 1960, se han promulgado una serie de 29 actos normativos (leyes, proyectos de ley, decretos, ordenanzas y medidas provisorias) relativos a la educación. A lo largo de los años, los gobiernos brasileños han implementado medidas que han favorecido el proceso de privatización y el surgimiento de grandes conglomerados económicos de la educación. La intensa privatización de la enseñanza superior está estrechamente relacionada con los instrumentos normativos dictados por los diferentes gobiernos. La legislación ha moldeado el sistema educativo del país y ha permitido flexibilizar los procesos de creación y ampliación de instituciones, cursos y puestos. El resultado ha sido la aparición de grandes grupos empresariales en el campo de la educación, con un capital financiero creciente, que operan en todos los ámbitos de la formación y, en algunos casos, incluso se especializan en la educación sanitaria.

Resumo De que forma aspectos organizacionais das instituições de ensino e pesquisa influenciam os custos de transação para efetivação de parcerias com administrações locais? Com base em dados inéditos de um survey online para o conjunto de 95 instituições de ensino, com respostas validadas, o presente artigo se propôs a responder a essa pergunta por meio de um estudo quantitativo buscando verificar a correlação entre características das parcerias firmadas e três aspectos organizacionais selecionados: a descentralização dos campi; existência de estrutura de acolhimento de potenciais parceiros (porta de entrada); e existência de instâncias de aprovação. Com base em proposições relativas aos custos de transação, extraídas da teoria da ação institucional coletiva, foram formuladas hipóteses envolvendo o efeito de cada aspecto organizacional. Os resultados apontaram, ao final, que a descentralização dos campi influencia não apenas na presença como também no número de experiências relevantes de parcerias com municípios. Já a estruturação de "portas de entrada" nas instituições de formação afeta mais especificamente o grau de formalização das parcerias, oferecendo maior segurança jurídica e estabilidade. A presença de instâncias de aprovação para as parcerias negociadas nas instituições de ensino e pesquisa parece não afetar, em sentido positivo ou negativo, a firmação dessas parcerias.


Abstract How do organizational aspects of education and research institutions influence transaction costs in establishing partnerships with local administrations? Based on unpublished data from an online survey of a group of 95 educational institutions this article aims to answer this question through a quantitative study seeking to verify the correlation between the characteristics of the partnerships formed and three selected organizational aspects: decentralization of campuses, the existence of a structure to welcome potential partners (gateway), and the presence of approval bodies. Based on propositions relating to transaction costs extracted from the theory of collective institutional action, hypotheses were formulated involving the effect of each organizational aspect. The results showed that the decentralization of campuses influences not only the presence but also the number of relevant experiences of partnerships with municipalities. Structuring "gateways" in training institutions more precisely affects the degree of formalization of partnerships, offering greater legal security and stability. However, the presence of approval bodies for partnerships negotiated in teaching and research institutions does not seem to affect, either positively or negatively, the establishment of these partnerships.


Resumen ¿Cómo influyen los aspectos organizativos de las instituciones de educación y de investigación en los costos de transacción para establecer alianzas con las administraciones locales? Basado en datos inéditos de una encuesta en línea realizada a un grupo de 95 instituciones educativas, con respuestas validadas, este artículo se propuso responder a esta pregunta a través de un estudio cuantitativo que busca verificar la correlación entre las características de las alianzas firmadas y tres aspectos organizacionales seleccionados: descentralización de campus; existencia de una estructura de acogida de socios potenciales (pasarela) y existencia de órganos de aprobación. A partir de proposiciones relativas a los costos de transacción, extraídas de la teoría de la acción institucional colectiva, se formularon hipótesis que involucran el efecto de cada aspecto organizacional. Los resultados mostraron, finalmente, que la descentralización de los campus influye no sólo en la presencia, sino también en el número de experiencias relevantes de alianzas con municipios. La estructuración de "pasarelas" en instituciones de formación incide más específicamente en el grado de formalización de las alianzas, ofreciendo mayor seguridad jurídica y estabilidad. La presencia de organismos de aprobación de las alianzas negociadas en instituciones de enseñanza y de investigación no parece afectar, ni positiva ni negativamente, al establecimiento de dichas alianzas.

Introducción: El liderazgo en Enfermería constituye una competencia fundamental en quienes ejercen un cargo, que va más allá de conducir pequeños grupos de trabajo hasta niveles directivos en la toma de decisiones dentro de la organización, para la mejor atención de las personas. Objetivo: Sintetizar el estado del ejercicio del liderazgo en Enfermería para la gestión de los cuidados en los establecimientos de salud. Métodos: Se realizó una revisión de alcance de artículos publicados del 2013 al 2021 en las bases de datos LILACS, SciELO, PubMed, Dialnet y REDALYC. En la estrategia de búsqueda se utilizó el diagrama de flujo Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) mediante el uso de los descriptores DeCS y MeSH y los operadores booleanos AND y OR. Se revisaron 665 artículos originales disponibles en inglés, español, alemán y portugués y se excluyeron trabajos sin acceso a texto completo, literatura gris y publicaciones antes del 2013; se seleccionaron 19. Conclusiones: Se destaca la importancia del liderazgo en las gestoras de Enfermería, reconocido por el equipo de salud, con gran impacto en los usuarios internos y externos. Se evidenciaron tres tendencias de liderazgo en Enfermería: el liderazgo transformacional, el liderazgo democrático y el autocrático(AU)


Introduction: Leadership in nursing is a fundamental competence in those who work in an organizational position, gonging beyond leading small work groups up to managerial levels in decision making within the organization, for the best care of people. Objective: To synthesize the state of leadership work in nursing for the management of care in health facilities. Methods: A scoping review was carried out of articles published from 2013 to 2021 in the LILACS, SciELO, PubMed, Dialnet and REDALYC databases. The search strategy used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) flowchart, together with the DeCS and MeSH descriptors, as well as the Boolean operators AND and OR. An amount of 665 original articles were reviewed, as they were available in English, Spanish, German and Portuguese; while exclusions per se included works without full-text access, gray literature, and publications before 2013. Of that total, 19 were selected. Conclusions: The importance of leadership in nursing managers is highlighted, as recognized by the health team, with great impact on internal and external users. Three nursing leadership trends were evidenced: transformational leadership, democratic leadership and autocratic leadership(AU)

Introducción: La calidad de vida laboral ha sido poco estudiada y su problemática es de gran importancia, debido a su impacto en la salud y bienestar del personal. Objetivo: Evaluar la calidad de vida en el trabajo de las licenciadas en enfermería de las Instituciones de Salud de la República del Ecuador. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo, con diseño descriptivo de corte transversal, en la República del Ecuador, durante el año 2019. Muestra 146 licenciadas en enfermería. Para la obtención de datos, se aplicó CVT-GOHISALO, un cuestionario que fue validado en la población de estudio. Los datos fueron analizados y procesados en IBM-SPSS V26 con el uso de estadística descriptiva. Resultados: La percepción general de la calidad de vida en el trabajo fue baja en el 77,40 por ciento de los participantes. Las dimensiones con niveles de satisfacción baja fueron: soporte institucional (54,79 por ciento), seguridad en el trabajo (52,05 por ciento), integración al puesto de trabajo (67,81 por ciento), satisfacción por el trabajo (82,88 por ciento), bienestar logrado a través del trabajo (84,93 por ciento) y desarrollo personal (76,71 por ciento) y la dimensión que presentó niveles críticos de insatisfacción fue la administración del tiempo libre (89,04 por ciento). Conclusiones: La calidad de vida en el trabajo de las licenciadas en enfermería en Ecuador es insatisfactoria, lo que destaca la necesidad de tomar medidas para abordar los factores que contribuyen a la insatisfacción y mejorar el ambiente de trabajo, y garantizar así una atención de alta calidad con un entorno saludable y sostenible(AU)


Introduction: The quality of occupational life has been little studied and its problematic is of great importance, due to its impact on the health and well-being of the personnel. Objective: To evaluate nursing graduates' quality of occupational life at health institutions in the Republic of Ecuador. Methods: A quantitative study, with a descriptive and cross-sectional design, was carried out in the Republic of Ecuador during the year 2019. The sample consisted of 146 nursing graduates. For data collection, CVT-GOHISALO was applied, a questionnaire validated in the study population. The data were analyzed and processed in IBM-SPSS V26, using descriptive statistics. Results: The overall perception of quality of occupational life was low in 77.40 percent of the participants. The dimensions with low levels of satisfaction were institutional support (54.79 percent), occupational safety (52.05 percent), job integration (67.81 percent), job satisfaction (82.88 percent), well-being achieved through work (84.93) and personal development (76.71 percent). In addition, the dimension that presented critical levels of dissatisfaction was free time management (89.04 percent). Conclusions: The nursing graduates' quality of occupational life in Ecuador is unsatisfactory, highlighting the need to take action to address the factors contributing to dissatisfaction and improve the occupational environment, thus ensuring high quality care with a healthy and sustainable environment(AU)

Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar a variação glicêmica de idosos com diabetes mellitus e COVID-19 em instituições de longa permanência. Foram coletados e analisados prontuários e resultados de exames laboratoriais de 203 idosos residentes em 4 ILPIs no município de Maringá, pertinentes ao período entre 2017 e 2022. Destes, 10 idosos apresentavam diagnóstico de diabetes mellitus, sendo selecionados os 5 que apresentaram diagnóstico de COVID-19 e exames de glicemia detalhada durante o período estudado. Três deles apresentaram aumento na glicemia, enquanto os outros dois praticamente mantiveram os mesmos índices glicêmicos pré e pós-COVID-19. Todos os casos apresentaram manifestações leves da COVID-19 sem necessidade de internação. Os resultados indicam que idosos com índices glicêmicos elevados para a sua respectiva idade podem apresentar índices de elevação da glicêmica quando infectados pelo SARS-CoV-2.


This study aimed to identify the glycemic variation in the elderly with diabetes mellitus and COVID-19 in long stay institutions. Medical records and laboratory test results from 203 elderly residents of 4 LSIE in the municipality of Maringá, pertaining to the period between 2017 and 2022. Of these, 10 were diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, being selected the 5 who were diagnosed with Covid-19 and that had detailed glycemic lab test results from the period in question. Three of them showed glycemic increase, while the other two practically maintained the same glycemic indices before and after Covid-19. All cases had light manifestations of Covid-19, without the need for hospitalization. The results indicate that elderly people with glycemic indices above the normal established for their age may have increased blood glucose when infected with SARS-CoV-2.

BACKGROUND: The SARS-CoV2 global pandemic impacted participants in the Alzheimer's Prevention Initiative (API) Autosomal Dominant Alzheimer's Disease (ADAD) clinical trial, who faced three stressors: 1) fear of developing dementia; 2) concerns about missing treatment; and 3) risk of SARS-CoV2 infection. OBJECTIVE: To describe the frequency of psychological disorders among the participants of the API ADAD Colombia clinical study, treated by a holistic mental health team during the COVID-19 pandemic. The extent of use of mental health team services was explored considering different risk factors, and users and non-users of these services were compared. METHODS: Participants had free and optional access to psychology and psychiatry services, outside of the study protocol. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the frequency of the mental health difficulties. A multivariable logistic regression model has been used to assess associations with using this program. RESULTS: 66 participants were treated by the Mental Health Team from March 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020. Before and after the start of the pandemic, the most common psychological problems were anxiety (36.4% before, 63.6% after) and depression (34.8% before, 37.9% after). 70% of users assisted by psychology and 81.6% of those assisted by psychiatry felt that the services were useful for them. Female sex, depression, and anxiety before the pandemic were positively associated with being assisted by either psychology or psychiatry, while the association with hyperlipidemia was negative. CONCLUSIONS: A holistic mental health program, carried out in the context of a study, could mitigate psychopathology during pandemics such as COVID-19.

Sexual harassment has become increasingly common in Ecuador's higher education centers. However, due to the lack of instruments that evaluate sexual harassment, the magnitude of this phenomenon in Ecuador is unknown. This research aims to analyze the construct validity and internal consistency reliability of a sexual harassment measurement scale in higher education institutions (ASIES). The instrument analyzes 21 behaviors related to sexual harassment. The sample consisted of 4628 people. A descriptive analysis of the items, item-total correlation analysis, and both exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis are performed to test the internal structure of the scale. It was found that the 4-factor model and a second-order factor presented a better fit (CFI = .99, TLI = .99, SRMR = .075, and RMSEA = .018). The results confirm the four dimensions proposed.


El acoso sexual constituye un fenómeno que se evidencia cada vez con mayor frecuencia en la educación superior. Sin embargo, debido a la falta de instrumentos que evalúen el acoso sexual, se desconoce la magnitud de este fenómeno en el Ecuador. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la validez de constructo y la confiabilidad por consistencia interna de una escala de medición de acoso sexual en instituciones de educación superior (ASIES). El instrumento analiza 21 comportamientos relacionados con el acoso sexual. Se aplicó en 4.628 personas. Se realizó un análisis descriptivo de los ítems, un análisis de correlación ítem-total y un análisis factorial, tanto exploratorio como confirmatorio, para probar la estructura interna de la escala. Se encontró que el modelo de 4 factores y un factor de segundo orden fueron los que presentaron mejor ajuste (CFI = .99, TLI = .99, SRMR = .075 y RMSEA = .018). Los resultados confirman las cuatro dimensiones planteadas para la medición del acoso sexual.

Neste artigo pretende-se discutir a problemática do manejo da urgência subjetiva nas instituições, apoiando-se em uma investigação em andamento no serviço-escola de uma universidade pública. Interroga-se a urgência generalizada, marca de nossos tempos, para situar as coordenadas do manejo da angústia presente nas demandas por assistência em saúde mental dirigidas às instituições. Articula-se, a partir das referências teórico-clínicas dentro da psicanálise de orientação lacaniana, a prática do manejo das urgências em diversos dispositivos de saúde. Pretende-se circunscrever a partir dessa elaboração, o duplo pertencimento dos serviços-escola: lugar de formação e instituição que, de alguma forma, participa da rede de saúde mental. (AU)


This article intends to discuss the problem of maneuvering subjective urgency in institutions, based on ongoing research in development at the school-service of a public university. The widespread urgency is questioned, as a mark of our time, to locate thecoordinates of the management of anxiety present in demands for mental health assistance directed at institutions. It is articulated, through theoretical-clinical references within lacanian oriented psychoanalysis, the practical maneuvering of urgencies in several health devices. It is intended to circumscribe through this elaboration, the double belonging of school-services: place of formation and institution that, in some way, participates in the mental health network. En este artículo se pretende discernir la problemática del manejo de la urgencia subjetiva en las instituciones, a partir de una investigación en desarrollo en el servicio-escuela de una universidad pública. Se interroga la urgencia generalizada, marca de nuestra época, para situar las coordinadas del manejo de la angustia presente en las demandas por asistencia en salud mental dirigidas a las instituciones. Desde las referencias teórico-clínicas se articula la práctica del manejo de las urgencias en diversos servicios de salud. Se pretende, a partir de esa discusión, circunscribir la doble pertenencia de los servicios-escuela: lugar de formación que, de alguna forma, participa de la redde salud mental. (AU)

This research determines the prevalence of intimate partner violence against women (IPVAW) and its impact on labor productivity in the financial sector of two Latin American countries. Nine financial institutions participated in this study with surveys of 892 female employees in Bolivia and 393 in Paraguay. The results revealed that 40.1% in Bolivia and 18.7% in Paraguay experienced IPVAW. In Bolivia, this resulted in 6.686 lost workdays per year due to absenteeism and 7.640 workdays per year due to presenteeism (present but distracted). In Paraguay, 12.035 days were lost to absenteeism and 12.037 to presenteeism. This pioneering research highlights the significant influence of IPVAW on financial sector productivity and its broader economic implications.

Resumo O objetivo deste artigo é avaliar as Instituições de Longa Permanência para Idosos (ILPI) brasileiras, segundo o Modelo Teórico Multidimensional Integrado de Qualidade e Atendimento (MIQA), e comparar o desempenho alcançado entre as regiões do país. Estudo ecológico descritivo realizado com dados secundários públicos das ILPI participantes do Censo do Sistema Único da Assistência Social de 2018. Uma Matriz de Avaliação foi construída a partir das variáveis do Censo e do Modelo Teórico MIQA. Parâmetros de qualidade foram empregados para classificar o desempenho das instituições para cada indicador em "incipiente", "em desenvolvimento" ou "desejável. O índice de disparidade foi obtido para cada indicador. Foram analisadas 1.665 instituições. Observaram-se diferenças nos percentuais de ILPI com desempenho "desejável" entre as regiões brasileiras, e a necessidade de aprimoramento na maioria das ILPI em relação à proporção de cuidadores de pessoas idosas, a composição da equipe multiprofissional, a acessibilidade e a oferta de ações de promoção de saúde. Verificou-se a necessidade de apoio governamental para a supressão dos critérios de diferenciações excludentes e para a expansão dos serviços para superar as superlotações.


Abstract This article aims to evaluate the Brazilian Long-Term Institutions for Older People (LTIE), according to the Integrated Multidimensional Theoretical Model of Quality and Service (MIQA), and compare the performance achieved between the regions of the country. Descriptive ecological study carried out with public secondary data from the LTIE participating in the 2018 Census of the Unified Social Assistance System. An Evaluation Matrix was constructed from the Census variables and the MIQA Theoretical Model. Quality parameters were used to classify the institutions' performance for each indicator as "incipient", "developing" or "desirable". The disparity index was obtained for each indicator. 1,665 institutions were analyzed. Differences were observed in the percentages of LTIE with "desirable" performance between Brazilian regions, and the need for improvement in most LTIE in relation to the proportion of caregivers of older people, the composition of the multidisciplinary team, accessibility and supply of health promotion actions. There was a need for government support for the suppression of exclusionary differentiation criteria and for the expansion of services to overcome overcrowding.

Abordou-se a chegada do pensamento lacaniano ao Brasil e a sua divulgação no Congresso Psicanalítico da Banana, marco inaugural no qual se encontra uma expressão nacional da reprodução dos impasses político-institucionais nas escolas lacanianas. Procedeu-se a uma busca no sítio da hemeroteca digital da Fundação Biblioteca Nacional utilizando como descritores o nome do evento e/ou o nome de seus organizadores no período de fevereiro de 1980 a dezembro de 1989. Utilizou-se como referência do trabalho a perspectiva da Escola dos Annales,que considera que a escrita histórica deve se orientar por problemas específicos; a consideração da transferência como marca indelével da pesquisa realizada por psicanalistas pesquisadores; as reflexões de Ricouer sobre as etapas da construção do conhecimento historiográfico. As matérias publicadas apresentam de forma recorrente: as celeumas entre os psicanalistas lacanianos e os filiados à IPA; a busca de reconhecimento dos analistas lacanianos brasileiros pelos franceses; a proposta de discussão da conjuntura nacional por meio da psicanálise; a divergência entre analistas lacanianos brasileiros acerca da tutoria francesa nas instituições surgidas no Brasil. Propôs-se a consideração da dimensão transferencial como possibilidade de construção de uma política emancipatória nas instituições psicanalíticas.


This discussion is about the arrival of Lacanian thinking in Brazil and its dissemination at the Banana Psychoanalytic Congress, an inaugural milestone in which a national expression of the reproduction of political-institutional impasses in Lacanian schools can be found. A search was carried out on the website of the digital newspaper library of the National Library Foundation using as descriptors the name of the event and/or the name of its organizers, from February 1980 to December 1989. What was used as a reference for the work was the perspective of the Annales School which considers that historical writing must be guided by specific problems; the consideration of the transference as an indelible mark of research carried out by researchers of the psychoanalytic field; Ricouer's reflections upon the stages of the construction of the historiographical knowledge. The published articles present recurrently: the controversy between Lacanian psychoanalysts and those affiliated with the IPA; the search for recognition of Brazilian Lacanian analysts by the French; the proposal to discuss the national situation through psychoanalysis; the divergence between Brazilian Lacanian analysts about French tutoring in institutions that emerged in Brazil. It was proposed to consider the transferential dimension as a possibility of building an emancipatory policy in psychoanalytic institutions.


Se ha discutido la llegada del pensamiento lacaniano en Brasil y su difusión en el Congreso Psicoanalítico de Plátano, hito inaugural en el que se encuentra una expresión nacional de los impases político-institucionales en las escuelas lacanianas. Se realizó una búsqueda en la hemeroteca digital de la Fundación Biblioteca Nacional utilizando como descriptores el nombre del evento y/o el nombre de sus organizadores, en el período de febrero de 1980 hasta diciembre de 1989. Se utilizó como referente para el trabajo la perspectiva de la Escuela de los Annales, que considera que la escritura histórica debe guiarse por problemas específicos; la consideración de la transferencia como una marca de la investigación realizada por los psicoanalistas; las reflexiones de Ricouer sobre las etapas de la construcción del conocimiento historiográfico. Los artículos publicados presentan de manera recurrente: la controversia entre los lacanianos y los afiliados a la IPA; la búsqueda del reconocimiento de los lacanianos brasileños por parte de los franceses; la propuesta de discutir la situación nacional a través del psicoanálisis; la divergencia entre lacanianos brasileños sobre la tutoría de francés en instituciones surgidas en Brasil. Se propuso considerar la dimensión transferencial como posibilidad de construcción de una política emancipatoria en estas instituciones.
