RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To establish and to promote the qualitative development of a housing service model in South Korea. METHODS: The questionnaire was collected through the housing needs survey and the focus group interview on the mental health professions. We enrolled 365 subjects from 63 places (community conversion facilities, cohabitation, cohabitation families, hospitals, psychiatric nursing homes) to answer the questionnaires. RESULTS: The survey result confirms the needs of people with a mental illness to be self-reliant, but it shows that the economic vulnerability is a hindrance. In addition, the most necessary factor for self-reliant living is to provide services that support daily living. Therefore, the study points out that a system that guarantees self-reliance must be added in order for the housing services to be distributed throughout local communities for the people with mental illness. CONCLUSION: The study proposes the Seoul-type housing services model to replace the housing services that functions in a fragmented manner with the provision of an integrated services through a unified channel by establishing a housing support center (tentative name). This will ultimately help people with a mental illness to live a healthy life that meets their needs as community members.

Objective@# To learn the population,virus status and viral types of hantavirus(HV)hosts in Tiantai County of Zhejiang Province from 2011 to 2018,and to provide evidence for hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome(HFRS)control. @*Methods@# Rodents in Tiantai County were captured by night trapping method. After the species and age of rodents were identified,the composition of rodent species,dominant species and density of rodents were analyzed. The lungs and blood of rodents were sampled to detect the antigen and antibody of HV by immunofluorescence method. The HV antigen-positive lung samples were detected by RT-PCR with specific primers of HV S fragment,then HV was isolated and identified by inoculating Vero-E6 cells.@*Results@# The average rodent density in Tiantai County from 2011 to 2018 was 4.44%. The rodent density in the field and residential areas were 4.94% and 2.23%,respectively. Ten species of rodents were identified,with Apodemus agrarius dominant in the field and Rattus norvegicus in the residential areas. Sixty-seven lung samples were HV antigen positive(4.13%),one from Rattus norvegicus and the other sixty-six from Apodemus agrarius. Seventy-nine blood samples were HV antibody positive(4.86%),all from Apodemus agrarius. Thirty-four HV antigen-positive lung samples were positive(50.75%)after RT-PCR amplification. Twenty-two strains of virus were isolated and all of them were from Apodemus agrarius,including twenty-one strains of Hantaan type(HTN)and one strain of Seoul type(SEO).@*Conclusion @#In Tiantai County,Apodemus agrarius is the main source of HFRS infection;the main epidemic type of HV is HTN and SEO is first found in Apodemus agrarius.

RESUMEN

Objective To determine the hosts of hantavirus (HV) and its molecular epidemiological characteristics, to provide evidence for prevention and control on hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS). Methods Rodents were captured by a special trap within the residential area. The antigens of HV in lung tissues were detected by direct immuno-fluorescence assay (DFA). Nucleotide sequences of HV were amplified by RT-PCR with HV genotype-specific primer. The amplified genes were then sequenced. Phylogenetic tree were built on nucleotide sequence with Clusta1X 1.83 software. Results 1421 rodents were captured and classified into 8 species of 4 Genera in the epidemic area within 10 counties of Chuxiong prefecture, Yunnan province, between 2005 and 2006. Out of the 1421 rodents, 1056 (74.31%) of them were Rattus norvegicas and 280 (19.70%) belonged to Rattus flavipectus. The antigens of HV were detected by DFA in lung tissues and the total positive rate of HV was 5.15% (53/ 1029). After applying the sequencing nucleotide method to the 53 positive specimens, data showed that 21 specimens were positive and all of them belonged to Seoul type ( 15 samples were from Rattus norvegicus, 4 samples Rattasflavipectas, 2 samples Rattus nitidas). The partial S segments from 12 specimens were sequenced which appeared homologic with R22, L99 and HLD65 from GenBank in relatively high level (87.1%-99.7%). When compared to 76-118 strain of Hantaan type, their homologic degree was only 64.4%-69.1%. Results from Phylogenetic analysis showed that 12 specimens belonged to Seoul type. As for their homology, they were significantly similar to Seoul type and could be tentatively divided into two subtypes S1 and S3. Conclusion It was confirmed that the Seoul type virus, as HFRS' s pathogenetic agent mainly carried by rats, prevailed widely in Chuxiong prefecture. Owing to the local ecological environment, we also noticed the characteristics of different HV subtypes among Seoul type.

RESUMEN

Most of keratoprostheses that had been developed did not show consistent successful results due to the high rates of complications including extrusion. We performed this study to develop a newly designed keratoprosthesis using internal scleral fixation and access the mechanical stability and biocompatibility of the keratoprosthesis (Seoul-type keratoprosthesis, S-Kpro). The S-Kpro has the advantage of double fixation-the Gore-Tex skirt is anchored to the cornea and the prolene haptic is anchored internally to the sclera, simultaneously. And the human amniotic membrane(AM) was covered over the cornea and prosthesis to improve the biocompatibility. The 24 rabbits were divided into four groups: group 1(S-Kpro) with scleral and corneal fixation and AM transplantation, group 2 with scleral fixation and AM transplantation but without corneal fixation, group 3 with corneal fixation and Am transplantation but without scleral fixation, group 4 with scleral and corneal fixation but without Am transplantation. The average retention period of group 1(S-Kpro) was 12.3 weeks, which was significantly longer than other groups. The implanted eyes withstanded the intraocular pressure of as high as 200 to 250mmHg. The retroprosthetic membrane was not observed in all cases but retinal detachment and proliferative vitreoretinopathy were developed, and they are thought to be related with the extrusion of the prosthesis. The fibrovascular tissue invasion was not found in the Gore-Tex pores. These results suggest that double fixation technique using internal scleral fixation and AM transplantation is helpful to improve the stability of the kratoprosthesis. The further experiment with total vitrectomy, different species of animals and Gore-Tex with the large-sized pores would be needed.
