Abdomino-anal resection of the rectum with the descending is not an alternative variant of the intra-abdonimal resection with suturing devices. Each of these methods has indications and contraindications. In treatment of rectum carcinoma the observation of oncological principles is thought to be principal. The abdomino-anal resection of the rectum with the descending gave best results when the tumor was localized at the level of 6-7 cm from the anus. The application of the proposed modification might reduce the number of complications and lethality.

[Experience with the treatment of acute pancreatitis with 5-fluorouracil in the light of late results]. / Opyt lecheniia ostrogo pankreatita 5-ftoruratsilom v svete otdalennykh rezul'tatov.

A comparative analysis of results of treatment of 471 patients with acute pancreatitis after complex therapy including inhibitors of proteases and antimetabolite of 5-ftoruracil has been made. Results of the treatment have shown high effectiveness of 5-ftoruracil which are superior to the effect of protease inhibitors. Remote results of the treatment were followed in 134 patients. Best results were obtained in the group of patients subjected to the complex treatment with 5-ftoruracil.

The article presents results of the operative treatment of 42 patients with different hematological diseases. The surgical treatment is indicated to patients resistant to cytostatic drugs and having symptoms of hyperplenism. The appearance of thrombohemorrhagic syndrome is sometimes possible in the postoperative period which can be prevented by heparin therapy.
