Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de series de casos en el Centro Oncológico del Hospital Vladimir Ilich Lenin, desde agosto 2006 hasta agosto 2010. El universo de estudio estuvo integrado por 137 pacientes diagnosticados con cáncer del pulmón de células no pequeñas y la muestra constituida por los 41 que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo en el Departamento de Radioterapia del Hospital Vladimir Ilich Lenin, Holguín, donde se estudiaron 410 pacientes diagnosticadas con neoplasia de cérvix, con la finalidad de evaluar la respuesta del tratamiento con teleterapia; la edad media de los enfermos fue de 53 años, la característica macroscópica del tumor era exofítico en un 38,1 por ciento; el carcinoma epidermoide bien diferenciado fue el más representativo con 171 pacientes 41,7 por ciento la etapa clínica II con 212 pacientes 51,7 por ciento resultó la más importante; en 238 pacientes 58,1 por ciento se le realizó técnica en caja...(AU)
A descriptive study at Radiotherapy Department was carried out . The sample comprised 410 patients with cervicouterine cancer. The aim of this work was to assess the results of teletherapy treatment. The mean age was 53 years, the tumor was exophytic in 38.1 percent of the patients. The epidermoid carcinoma was the most common found in 171 patients 41.7 percent Most of the patients were at stage 2 212 patients 51,7 percent . The box technique was used in 238 patients (58,1 percent) and chemotherapy with teletherapy treatment were given in 78,8 percent . Good results were observed in 207 patients (50,7 percent). Se realizó un estudio de serie de casos en el período de enero de 2006 a diciembre de 2007 de 195 enfermos portadores de cáncer colorrectal los cuales fueron recepcionados en la consulta especializada de vías digestivas del Servicio de Oncología del Hospital Lenin diagnosticados en las diferentes áreas de salud de la provincia. El 63 por ciento fueron portadores de tumores a nivel del recto y el 37 por ciento a nivel del colon. La edad de mayor afectación fue entre 40 y 69 años (81 por ciento), de los cuales el 56,9 por ciento son del sexo masculino. Los principales factores de riesgo fueron constipación crónica, la historia familiar de la enfermedad, pólipos sangrantes y litiasis vesicular. A study of series of cases from January 2006 to December 2007 was carried out in 195 patients with colorectal cancer. They were attended at Oncology Service at Lenin Hospital , and were diagnosed at different health areas of the province. 63 percent and 37 percent of them had tumors in rectum and colon respectively . The age group between 40 and 69 years old was the most affected one (81.0 percent) and 56.9 percent of them were males . The main risk factors were the family history of the illness, chronic constipation, bleeding polyps and vesicular lithiasis.
