RESUMO

Seven new abietane diterpenoids, comprising medusanthol A-G (1-3, 5, 7-9) and two previously identified analogs (4 and 6), were isolated from the hexane extract of the aerial parts of Medusantha martiusii. The structures of the compounds were elucidated by HRESIMS, 1D/2D NMR spectroscopic data, IR spectroscopy, NMR calculations with DP4+ probability analysis, and ECD calculations. The anti-neuroinflammatory potential of compounds 1-7 was evaluated by determining their ability to inhibit the production of nitric oxide (NO) and the proinflammatory cytokine TNF-α in BV2 microglia stimulated with LPS and IFN-γ. Compounds 1-4 and 7 exhibited decreased NO levels at a concentration of 12.5 µM. Compound 1 demonstrated strong activity with an IC50 of 3.12 µM, and compound 2 had an IC50 of 15.53 µM; both compounds effectively reduced NO levels compared to the positive control quercetin (IC50 11.8 µM). Additionally, both compounds significantly decreased TNF-α levels, indicating their potential as promising anti-neuroinflammatory agents.

Importance: BRCA1-associated protein (BAP1) tumor predisposition syndrome (TPDS) is a cancer genodermatosis associated with high risk of uveal and cutaneous melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and multiple internal malignant neoplasms, including mesothelioma and renal cell carcinoma. Early detection of the syndrome is important for cancer surveillance and genetic counseling of family members who are at risk. Objective: To determine the prevalence of nail abnormalities in individuals with pathogenic germline variants in BAP1. Design, Setting, and Participants: In this prospective cohort study, individuals who were known carriers of pathogenic BAP1 germline variants were consecutively enrolled between October 10, 2023, and March 15, 2024. Dermatologic evaluation for nail abnormalities was performed, including a history of nail abnormalities and associated symptoms, physical examination, medical photography, and nail biopsy for histopathology. This was a single-center study conducted at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center. Main Outcomes and Measures: Primary outcomes were the prevalence and spectrum of nail changes and histopathologic characterization. Results: Among 47 participants (30 female [63.8%]; mean [SD] age, 46.4 [15.1] years) ranging in age from 13 to 72 years from 35 families, nail abnormalities were detected in 41 patients (87.2%) and included leukonychia, splinter hemorrhage, onychoschizia, and distal nail hyperkeratosis. Clinical findings consistent with onychopapilloma were detected in 39 patients (83.0%), including 35 of 40 individuals aged 30 years or older (87.5%). Nail bed biopsy was performed in 5 patients and was consistent with onychopapilloma. Polydactylous involvement with onychopapillomas was detected in nearly all patients who had nail involvement (38 of 39 patients [97.4%]). Conclusions and Relevance: This study found that BAP1 TPDS was associated with a high rate of nail abnormalities consistent with onychopapillomas in adult carriers of the disease. Findings suggest that this novel cutaneous sign may facilitate detection of the syndrome in family members who are at risk and patients with cancers associated with BAP1 given that multiple onychopapillomas are uncommon in the general population and may be a distinct clue to the presence of a pathogenic germline variant in the BAP1 gene.

RATIONALE: Tropane alkaloids represent an important class of secondary metabolites, but many of these compounds are already described in the scientific literature, so the use of guided identification and isolation strategies, such as dereplication, represent a fast and safe alternative. METHODS: For the annotation of the tropane alkaloids the chloroform phases of the four Erythroxylum species were analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry with positive-mode electrospray ionization, then the ions of their protonated molecules, molecular formulas and fragmentation patterns were observed and a comparison of the obtained data with those present in the scientific literature was performed. The compounds not fully annotated were isolated and characterized by 1 H and 13 C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. RESULTS: The annotation of 29 tropane alkaloids was performed, some being described for the first time in the family Erythroxylaceae. The chemical profiles of these secondary metabolites in the four Erythroxylum species analyzed were traced and compared. Isolation of three compounds whose mass spectral data were not sufficient for their full annotation was performed. They were 6-(benzoyloxy)-3-(3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxybenzoyloxy)tropane, 6-(benzoyloxy)-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoyloxy)tropane and 6-(benzoyloxy)-3-(3,4,5-trimethoxycinamoyloxy)tropane, first reported in the species Erythroxylum revolutum Mart. CONCLUSIONS: This work contributes to the phytochemical knowledge of the genus Erythroxylum, and demonstrates the efficiency and importance of using guided isolation methodologies of secondary metabolites in natural products research. Since safe results were presented in the annotation of the compounds evidenced, employing small quantities of organic solvents, when compared to classical methodologies, besides promoting an optimization in the research time.

Plants of Hyptidinae subtribe (Lamiaceae - family), as Mesosphaerum sidifolium, are a source of bioactive molecules. In the search for new drug candidates, we perform chemical characterization of diterpenes isolated from the aerial parts of M. sidifolium was carried out with uni- and bidimensional NMR spectral data, and evaluate in silico through the construction of a predictive model followed by in vitro testing Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium smegmatis. Resulted in the isolation of four components: Pomiferin D (1), Salviol (2), Pomiferin E (3) and 2α-hydroxysugiol (4), as well as two phenolic compounds, rosmarinic and caffeic acids. In silico model identified 48 diterpenes likely to have biological activity against M. tuberculosis. The diterpenes isolated were tested in vitro against M. tuberculosis demonstrating MIC = 125 µM for 4 and 1, while 2 and 3 -MIC = 250 µM. These compounds did not show biological activity at these concentrations for M. smegmatis.

The objective of this systematic review was to evaluate which salivary biomarkers are altered in patients with burning mouth syndrome (BMS) compared to a control group (CG). A comprehensive literature search was conducted in four databases. Case-control studies evaluating salivary biomarkers in BMS patients were included. Risk of bias was assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa tool. RevMan was used for meta-analysis. Seventeen studies were selected. The included studies collected 54 different biomarkers. Of these biomarkers, only three (cortisol, α-amylase, and dehydroepiandrosterone) were analyzed in three or more studies. Dehydroepiandrosterone obtained contradictory results among the studies. However, cortisol and α-amylase levels were found to be higher in BMS patients. Cortisol was the only biomarker which could be included for meta-analysis. Cortisol levels were significantly higher in the BMS group compared to the CG (Mean Difference = 0.39; 95% CI [0.14-0.65]; p = 0.003). In conclusion, different studies investigated salivary biomarkers in patients with BMS compared to a CG, with controversial results. Meta-analysis, confirmed by trial-sequential analysis, showed how cortisol levels were significantly higher in BMS. Cortisol emerges as an interesting salivary biomarker in BMS, but future properly designed studies are needed to evaluate its role in diagnosis and/or response to treatment.

BAP1 is a tumor suppressor gene implicated in DNA repair and cell growth. Individuals with germline BAP1 mutations are at a significantly increased risk for developing many different cancers including malignant mesothelioma, uveal melanomas, cutaneous melanomas and renal clear cell carcinomas. Meningiomas with absent BAP1 expression have been reported to be more aggressive and present often with rhabdoid features. Here, we report the co-occurrence of pleural mesotheliomas and meningiomas in patients with germline BAP1 mutations. We describe the cancer history, family pedigrees, clinical management, and outcomes of four BAP1 germline mutation carrier families with a history of malignant mesothelioma and meningioma.

Elsholtzia ciliata (Thunb.) Hyl, family Lamiaceae, is an important and popular anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). However, there are limited scientific studies on its anatomy and pharmacological activities. Moreover, the information of chemical constituents in relation to its non-volatile constituents are still missing. The current study aimed to evaluate the anatomic, pharmacological and phytochemical profile of Elsholtzia ciliata, providing means for the quality control of this herbal drug. The methodology designed for this study included the preparation of anatomic sections and their description, extraction, chromatography, structural elucidation of isolated compounds by NMR techniques and their quantification by HPLC using pharmacological assays (Formalin, hot plate, DPPH, antimicrobial-Gram positive, Gram Negative and fungus, and MTT assays) to confirm the activities described for this species. Results of the anatomic study are aligned with the pattern expected for plants belonging to the Lamiaceae family; Ursolic acid and Oroxylin were isolated from this plant species. The findings observed in this study indicate that Elsholtzia ciliata possess anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive, antioxidant, antimicrobial and anticancer activities. The chemical compounds isolated from its leaves and the anatomy profile of its parts provide the basis for further quality control for this plant.

INTRODUCTION: PARP inhibition may enhance antitumor responses in BAP1-associated mesothelioma by inducing synthetic lethality. METHODS: A single-center, nonrandomized, phase 2 trial was conducted, in which patients with refractory mesothelioma were given olaparib 300 mg twice daily in a 21-day cycle until disease progression or intolerable toxicity. The primary objective was to determine the objective response rate on the basis of somatic or germline mutation status of DNA repair genes. The secondary objectives were to assess safety and tolerability and to determine progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). Whole-exome sequencing was performed on blood and tumor. RESULTS: A total of 23 previously treated patients with pleural and peritoneal mesothelioma were enrolled and treated (germline BAP1, n = 4; germline MRE11A, n = 1; somatic BAP1, n = 8 mutations). There was one (4%) partial response, 18 (78%) with stable disease at 6 weeks, and four (17%) with progressive disease. The median overall PFS and OS were 3.6 months (95% confidence interval [CI]: 2.7-4.2 mo) and 8.7 months (95% CI: 4.7 mo-not estimable), respectively. The median PFS of germline BAP1 mutants (n = 4) was 2.3 months (95% CI: 1.3-3.6 mo) versus 4.1 months (95% CI: 2.7-5.5 mo) for wild-type (n = 19; p = 0.019). The median OS was 4.6 months (95% CI: 3.1-4.9 mo) for germline BAP1 mutation versus 9.6 months (95% CI: 5.5 mo-not estimable) in no germline mutation (p = 0.0040). Olaparib was safe with no new safety concerns. CONCLUSIONS: Olaparib has limited activity in previously treated mesothelioma including patients with BAP1 mutations. Germline BAP1 mutations were associated with decreased PFS and OS.

BACKGROUND: The declaration of the first state of alarm for COVID-19 in March 2020 provoked changes in ophthalmological care. The objective of this study was to assess its impact on reorganising care activities, the mental health of ophthalmologists and the training of residents. METHODS: We sent an anonymous online questionnaire between August and October 2020 to consultant ophthalmologists and residents who were active during the state of alarm in Spain. We used Google Forms® software for data collection. We analysed responses according to the degree of regional impact. RESULTS: We received a total of 328 responses from the 17 Autonomous Communities. We saw that 99.4% of respondents changed their work activities with 50% reductions in surgery (94.5%) and consultations (93.0%). Furthermore, 58.8% of respondents reported increased anxiety, and 29.9% transferred to support other services, with this number reaching 49.6% in the hardest-hit regions. Training programs were greatly reduced in external consultations (90.7%), and surgical training was completely cancelled (100%). Additionally, 56.5% of trainees wanted to prolong their residence periods. CONCLUSIONS: The first wave of the pandemic produced significant changes in ophthalmology services, and these changes were more pronounced in the most affected regions. It caused a negative psychological impact on a high rate of respondents and an interruption of the training of ophthalmology residents. Predictably, the negative consequences of this delay in ophthalmological care on patients will be uneven between regions.

This study aimed to assess the effectiveness and safety of tocilizumab use for the treatment of active steroid-resistant Graves' orbitopathy (GO). A retrospective longitudinal study was conducted by reviewing the medical records at a single center between November 2009 and December 2018. A total of 114 patients with steroid-resistant Graves' orbitopathy were examined and treated with tocilizumab, of which 54 adults met the inclusion criteria. No concomitant medication for the treatment of orbitopathy was used. The main primary outcomes included changes from baseline in the Clinical Activity Score (CAS) and thyrotropin receptor antibody (TRAb) levels throughout therapy with tocilizumab. The absolute responses to treatment were defined as the achievement of CAS ≤ 1 and TRAb ≤ 10 U/L. A composite ophthalmic score including CAS, proptosis, eyelid retraction, and diplopia was used to evaluate individual improvement in GO. Adverse drug reactions were also assessed. Analysis of the patient's CAS and TRAb levels showed meaningful reductions during tocilizumab treatment. Differences between values at baseline and subsequent time points were statistically significant (p < 0.001 for all comparisons). The absolute CAS response (CAS = 0 or 1) was achieved in 74% (37/50) of patients after the fourth dose of tocilizumab (at week 16), with a TRAb response being achieved in 55% (23/42) of patients. The relative CAS response (reduction ≥ 2 points) was achieved in 90.9% of patients (40/44) after the first dose of tocilizumab (at week 4). Measurements of proptosis (reduction ≥ 2 mm in 78% of patients, 42/54) and eyelid retraction (reduction ≥ 2 mm in 75%, 33/44), and the prevalence of diplopia (improvement in 68%, 19/28) were significantly reduced after the last dose of tocilizumab (p < 0.001 for all comparisons). GO improved in 98% (53/54) of patients when at least two criteria of the composite evaluation were required. Four patients exhibited disease recurrence, defined as an increase in CAS of ≥2 points in the six months following the date of inactivation. Most adverse drug reactions were mild or moderate in severity. In conclusion, our data suggest that a course of at least 4 months (one monthly dose) of tocilizumab therapy provides a significant benefit to patients with active moderate-to-severe steroid-resistant GO.

INTRODUCTION: Given the diversity of secondary metabolites produced by species of the genus Erythroxylum, in addition to the many methods that have already been described in the literature, modern screening and identification methodologies, such as dereplication, represent an efficient and quick strategy compared to the classic techniques linked to natural product research. OBJECTIVE: The objective of the present study was to determine the phenolic profiles obtained from three species of Erythroxylum (Erythroxylum pauferrense Plowman, Erythroxylum pulchrum A.St.-Hil. and Erythroxylum simonis Plowman) by dereplication using liquid chromatography coupled with ESI-MSn and HRESIMS. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Ethyl acetate and n-butanolic fractions from crude ethanolic extract of Erythroxylum species were analyzed by HPLC-ESI-MSn and HPLC-HRESIMS, in order to identify its corresponding compounds. Experiments were performed in negative ionization mode, and the metabolites were provisionally identified based on deprotonated molecules, molecular formulas, fragmentation patterns and literature data. The corresponding isolated compounds were characterized by 1 H and 13 C NMR spectroscopy. RESULTS: According to the dereplication method, it was possible to establish and compare the phenolic profile of the corresponding species by the assignment of 55 compounds, most of which were first described in these species and among which some were also new to the Erytroxylum genus. Additionally, nine compounds were isolated, including biphenyl-3,3',4,4'-tetraol, where the mass spectral data were not sufficient for their identification, and reported for the first time in the Erythroxylaceae family. CONCLUSION: This research contributes to the phytochemical knowledge of the Erythroxylum genus and demonstrates the importance of the dereplication method regarding the investigation of natural products, enabling accurate identification of the metabolites while avoiding the efforts and material expenses involved in the isolation of known compounds.

Aedes aegypti L. is known as the most relevant vector mosquito for viruses such as yellow fever, chikungunya, dengue, and Zika, especially in places with unplanned urbanization, and erratic water supply. Plants used in folk medicine have become a useful source of active compounds with the potential to control the dissemination of Ae. aegypti. Compounds isolated from Malvaceae sensu lato have been previously reported as larvicides, repellents, and insecticides. Recent studies have demonstrated the anti Ae. aegypti activity of sulfated flavonoids, an uncommon type of flavonoid derivatives. This research reports the phytochemical investigation of Sidastrum paniculatum (L.) Fryxell, a Malvaceae species with the potential against Ae. aegypti. Chromatographic procedures resulted in the isolation of the compounds: stearic acid (1), N-trans-feruloyltyramine (2), acacetin (3), apigenin (4), tiliroside (5), along with the sulfated flavonoids: wissadulin (6), 7,4'-di-O-methyl-8-O-sulfate flavone (7), yannin (8), beltraonin (9a), 7-O-sulfate isoscutellarein (paniculatumin) (9b), and condadin (10). This is the first report of compound 7-O-sulfate isoscutellarein (9b). The structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis (NMR, LC-HRMS and FT-IR). The sulfated flavonoids identified were submitted to a ligand-based and structure-based virtual screening against two targets: 1YIY (from adult Ae. aegypti) and 1PZ4 (from Ae. aegypti larvae). The results indicated that when the O-sulfate group is bearing the position 7, the structures are potentially active in 1PZ4 protein. On the other hand, flavonoids with the O-sulfate group bearing position 8 were showed to be more likely to bind to the 1YIY protein. Our findings indicated that S. paniculatum is a promising source of sulfated flavonoids with potential against Ae. aegypti.

Six sesquiterpenoids with unprecedented macrocyclic humulene-type structures, namely, dolichocarpols A-E (1-5) with ether-bridged bicyclic rings between C-10 and C-2, C-10 and C-7, C-10 and C-6 (×2), and C-6 and C-3 and dolichocarpol F (6) cyclized between C-7 and C-2 and with an ether bridge between C-10 and C-3, were isolated from Anaxagorea dolichocarpa roots. The structures of the compounds were elucidated by NMR, MS, and IR data. Absolute configurations of compounds 1-3 and 6 were established on the basis of data from electronic circular dichroism, whereas relative configurations of compounds 4 and 5 were suggested by the NOESY spectrum. In addition, a putative biosynthetic pathway of the compounds is proposed. Furthermore, the cytotoxicity of 3, 4, and 6 against HCT-116 (human colorectal carcinoma) and L929 (murine fibroblast) was evaluated.

Three new caryophyllane-type sesquiterpenoids, linariophyllenes A-C (1-3), two new hamamelitol derivatives, linaritols A (4) and B (5), two new chromones, linariosides A (6) and B (7), and three known chromones, cnidimol C (8), monnieriside A (9), and undulatoside A (10), were identified from the aerial parts of Evolvulus linarioides. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by NMR, MS, and IR data. The absolute configurations of compounds 1-5 and 7 were established via electronic circular dichroism data. The anti-inflammatory potential of compounds 1-5 and 7-10 was evaluated by determining their ability to inhibit the production of nitric oxide (NO) and proinflammatory cytokine IL-1ß by stimulated J774 macrophages. Compounds tested at noncytotoxic concentrations inhibited NO production by macrophages, exhibiting IC50 values between 17.8 and 66.2 µM, and inhibited IL-1ß production by stimulated macrophages by 72.7-96.2%.

Micromorphological studies were carried out using multiple microscopic techniques on the leaves and stem bark of Byrsonima sericea DC. (Malpighiaceae), a species popularly known as "murici" and used medicinally, in order to identify both qualitative and quantitative features of leaf and stem anatomy and histochemistry as differential parameters to support both the quality control of its ethnodrugs and the taxonomy of the genus. The study was conducted using traditional techniques of plant anatomy, histochemical tests, and the stomatal index (SI). Byrsonima sericea has hypostomatic leaves, anomocytic stomata, and its epidermal walls are anticlinal and straight on the adaxial and curved on the abaxial faces. T-shaped trichomes were observed mainly on the abaxial surface. The leaf epidermis showed waxes syntopism on both surfaces, with the occurrence of different crystalloid forms on a single phylloplane. The mesophyll is dorsiventral, with 3-4 collateral vascular bundles. Phenolic compounds, starch, and proteins were identified in the petiole and stem. The SI was 14.5 ± 0.53% (p < .05), but did not showed significant variations. A set of characters were found to be distinctive for the studied species, however, constituting parameters that could be used to separate B. sericea from other species of the genus.

Abstract The species Waltheria viscosissima A.St.-Hil, Malvaceae, which is known as 'malva-branca', is traditionally used in the Brazilian northeast for the treatment of coughs. This research looks towards reporting the isolation of phytoconstituents of W. viscosissima, as well as the quantification of its phenolics, total flavonoid content, and free radical scavenging potential, along with an evaluation of its larvicidal activity against Aedes aegypti larvae. Chromatographic techniques were used to isolate the compounds and a structural elucidation was performed by 1D and 2D NMR. The quantification of total phenolics and flavonoids and the DPPH˙ radical scavenging activity was determined through spectrophotometric methods. Consequently, the phytochemical investigation led to the identification of fourteen compounds from the aerial parts of the W. viscosissima: steroids, triterpenes, alkaloids, and eight flavonoids previously reported in the literature. The quantification of compounds showed that the aerial parts extract possessed high concentration of flavonoids, while the roots extract were rich in other phenolic compounds. At the DPPH˙ free radical scavenging assay, the roots extract presented EC50 = 77.32 ± 4.37 µg/ml and the aerial parts extracts showed EC50 = 118.10 ± 1.21 µg/ml. W. viscosissima roots extract showed the most potent larvicidal activity against Ae. aegypti (LC50 = 4.78 mg/ml), with the potential of being used in effective and economically viable preparations that can be catered for domestic use towards controlling the vector insect of severe diseases, such as dengue and Zika.

INTRODUCTION: Areas at risk of transmission of arboviruses have been monitored using ovitraps. This study aimed to evaluate the spatial distribution of Aedes aegypti in vulnerable areas for the transmission of arboviruses and assess the influence of climatic conditions on the infestation of these culicids. METHODS: Ovitraps were installed in Agrestina, Pernambuco, Northeastern Brazil. RESULTS: Overall, 44,936 eggs were collected, and the indexes of infestation varied. Relative humidity was significantly associated with the infestations. CONCLUSIONS: Using ovitraps, entomologic indexes and analysis of climatic factors might be good strategies for monitoring vulnerable areas for the transmission of arboviruses.

Abstract Bauhinia L. and Schnella (Raddi.) Wund. are popularly known in Brazil as "mororó". The leaves and stem bark are used in folk medicine for various purposes, especially against diabetes. Morphoanatomical studies of the leaves of Bauhinia cheilantha (Bong.) Steud., B. pentandra (Bong.) Steud., B. ungulata L. and Schnella outimouta (Aublet) Wund., tribe Cercidae, subtribe Bauhiniinae (Benth.) Walp., were carried out as subsidies to the quality control of their etnodrugs and their derivatives, as well as an additional support to their taxonomy. The morphological and anatomical studies employed traditional techniques of stereo- and light microscopy. All species showed bifoliate leaves, a dorsiventral mesophyll, epidermis with a papillose abaxial surface, anomocytic stomata at the level of the epidermis, and tector trichomes. Schnella outimouta showed leaf characters distinctive from the three species of Bauhinia: indument puberulous on the abaxial surface, leaves hypostomatic, midrib with two collateral bundles, and a cylindrical petiole. The species of Bauhinia have a sericeous-pubescent indument, amphistomatic leaves with boat-shaped glands, midrib with a single bundle, and a canaliculate petiole with lateral projections. Our results provide leaf morphological and anatomical parameters, useful to distinguish the four species studied, which support the quality control of its ethnodrugs.

RESUMO Objetivo: analisar a produção brasileira de dissertações e teses em enfermagem que abordem o Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência. Método: estudo bibliométrico realizado por meio do acesso virtual ao Centro de Estudos e Pesquisa em Enfermagem, da Associação Brasileira de Enfermagem, e ao Portal de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior. A amostra foi composta por quatro teses e nove dissertações. Resultados: verificou-se maior quantitativo de estudos nas regiões Sul (38,5%) e Sudeste (46,2%), o predomínio de estudos descritivo-exploratórios, com abordagem qualitativa, a temática mais explorada foi a saúde do trabalhador no contexto pré-hospitalar móvel e a população mais investigada foram os profissionais. Conclusão: a partir dos indicadores bibliométricos, constatou-se uma limitada quantidade de trabalhos acerca do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência nos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem e lacunas relativas à temática nas pesquisas desses Programas. Essas constatações podem direcionar a realização de futuros estudos.

La muestra estaba compuesta por cuatro tesis y nueve disertaciones. Resultados: se ha verificado una mayor cantidad de estudios en las regiones Sur (38,5%) y Sudeste (46,2%). Hubo un predominio de estudios descriptivos-exploratorios, con abordaje cualitativo; la temática más explorada fue la salud del trabajador en el contexto prehospitalario móvil y la población más investigada fue la de los profesionales. Conclusión: a partir de los indicadores bibliométricos fue posible constatar una cantidad limitada de trabajos sobre el Servicio de Atención Móvil de Urgencia en los Programas de Post-Graduación en Enfermería y espacios relativos a la temática en las investigaciones de esos Programas. Esas constataciones pueden direccionar la realización de futuros estudios.

Method: a bibliometric study performed through the virtual access of the Centro de Estudos e Pesquisa em Enfermagem, da Associação Brasileira de Enfermagem, and Portal de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior. The sample consisted of four theses and nine dissertations. Results: there was a greater number of studies in the South (38.5%) and Southeast(46.2%), with a predominance in descriptive-exploratory studies, using qualitative approaches, the most explored topics were worker health in the pre-hospital mobile services and professionals were the most investigated population. Conclusion: based on bibliometric indicators, there was a limited amount of papers regarding the Mobile Emergency Care Service in the Nursing Graduate Programs and gaps were found related to the research of these programs. These findings may direct future studies.
