Em razão da grande exigência por restaurações que se assemelham a dentes naturais por parte da sociedade eda menor biocompatibilidade das ligas metálicas utilizadas na confecção das próteses convencionais, existeuma tendência pela escolha de materiais livres dos metais. Além de melhores propriedades biológicas eestéticas esses materiais possuem características quase que semelhantes ao de uma estrutura dental, podendosubstituir os materiais restauradores tradicionais desde que seja respeitado o limite de cada sistemarestaurador a se trabalhado, sendo necessário que o profissional tenha um adequado domínio sobre a técnica.O objetivo do presente trabalho foi revisar a literatura sobre a utilização da prótese fixa adesiva livre de metal
