RESUMO

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of universal newborn hearing screening for deaf‐ness predisposing genes in newborns .Methods A total of 965 newborns at Subei Hospital in Yangzhou were taken blood samples at heel and received for deafness predisposing genes screening .The most common deafness genes were detected by gene sequencing ,including mt12SrRNA c .1555A > G ,c .1494C > T ,GJB2 35delG ,167delT ,176_191del16 ,235delC ,299_300delAT ,SLC26A4 281C> T ,589G>A ,IVS7 -2A>G ,1174A> T ,1226G> A ,1229C> T ,IVS15+5G> A ,1975G>C ,2027T > A ,2162C> T ,2168A> G ,GJB3538C> T ,547G> A .At the same time ,all infants received hearing screening .Otoacoustic emission(OAE) was used as the first step screening ,and OAE combined with auto-auditory brainstem response(AABR) detection were used as the second step screening . Results Fifty -three cases (5 .49% ) had partial gene mutation ,one case of 12SrRNA gene mutation ,33 cases of GJB2 gene mutation ,18 cases of SCL26A4 gene mutation ,one case of GJB3 gene mutation .Of 965 cases ,28 cases failed to pass hearing screening while 18 cases did not pass rescreening .There were 10 cases taking audiological di‐agnosis at the age of three months .Six cases were confirmed with hearing loss .There were 905 cases passed thehearing screening and genetic screening ,11 failed born hearing and gene screening .Conclusion That the newborn gene screening was added into the hearing screening can be helpful to find out the deafness predisposing genes and drug -induced or late-onset hearing loss .

RESUMO

A sensitive and convenient method based on accelerated solvent extraction ( ASE )-liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS / MS) was established for the simultaneous determination of 11 phthalic acid esters(PAEs) in soil. The optimized conditions were as follows: By using n-hexane as the extraction solvent, spiked sample was extracted by ASE at 160 ℃ for 4 times, 12 min for each time. The extract was concentrated by evaporation. Qualitative and quantitative analysis was carried out by the multiple reaction monitoring mode after the chromatographic separation with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI), using acetonitrile -0. 1% formic acid water as mobile phase. The limits of detection(LODs) for 11 PAEs were between 0. 03 - 13. 0 μg / kg. The recoveries and relative standard deviations were 72. 8% -101. 8% and 1. 7-6. 7% , respectively. This method is rapid, sensitive and suitable for the determination of PAEs in soil.

RESUMO

Sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma happens rarely, the clinical manifestations of the disease lacked specificity, with nasal obstruction and blood mainly in a unilateral nasal cavity. Two casas were reviewed, one case of tumor located in the middle of inferior turbinate; 1 in the bottom wall of the anterior nasal cavity. The tumor appeared dark red and unsmooth surface. Sinus CT scan showed occupying shadow and significant bone de struction. Complete resection of the lesion was performed. The pathology of neoplasm showed small-medium sized oval nuclei, high nucleus to cytoplasm ratio, and active mitosis. The pathological diagnosis was undifferentiated carcinoma. Comprehensive treatment of postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy were given distant metastasis still happened. One survived in 2 years of follow-up, 1 patient died in 18 months.

OBJECTIVE@#To study molecular epidemiological basis of non-syndromic hearing loss in Yangzhou area.@*METHOD@#The selected objects were 90 severe non-syndrome deafness students in special education schools in Yangzhou city, Jiangsu province. The deafness gene chip diagnostic kit was used for screening the nine hot spots mutations in four common deafness-related genes in Medical Testing Center of Northern Jiangsu People's Hospital. These nine hot spots gene mutations included GJB2 (35 delG, 176 del16, 235 delC and 299 delAT) GJB3 (538C > T), SLC26A4 (IVS7-2A > G, 2168A > G) and mtDNA 12S rRNA (A > G,1494C > T) mutation detection by line.@*RESULT@#In 90 patients, 64 patients were found to carry deafness mutations by using gene chip diagnostic kit (the rate of mutation was 71.7%) GJB2 gene mutation in 40 cases (44.4%)which included 235 delC homozygous in 20 (22.2%) cases, 235 delC single heterozygous mutation in 4 cases (4.4%)and 235 delC and 299 delAT compound heterozygous mutations in 2 case (2.2%) separately. 299 delAT single heterozygous mutation in 2 case (2.2%), 299 delAT simple mutation in 2 case (2.2%). 176 del16 heterozygous mutations in 2 case, 176 del16 homozygous mutation in 2 case (2.2%). 176 del16 heterozygous mutations, and 235 del C heterozygous mutation in 6 cases (6.7%). SLC26A4 gene mutations in 22 cases (24.4%),which included IVS7-2A > G homozygous in 2 (2.22%) cases, IVS7-2A > G and 2168A > G compound heterozygous mutations in 2 cases (2.2%), IVS7-2A > G single heterozygous mutation in 18 cases (20.2%), and mtDNA 12S rRNA A > G mutation in 2 cases (2.2%), GJB3 mutations were not detected.@*CONCLUSION@#The deafness gene diagnostic techniques is worth applying for screening and diagnosis.

RESUMO

Objective By selecting the prescriptions of treating blood group incompatibility in modern literature, and exploring their regularity, to establish the overall thought of traditional Chinese medicine in treatment.Methods 90 articles on maternal-fetal blood group incompatibility were found.Statistical methods were adopted to summarize high frequently used medicines and formula. Results High frequently used medicines were Virgate Wormwood Herb, Baical Skullcap Root, Rhubarb, Cape Jasmine Fruit, White peony Alba, Chinese Angelica,Largehead Atractylodes Rhizome,Motherwort Herb,and Milkvetch Root, which were mentioned for 238 times in the literatures, occupying 72.79% of the total frequency. Conclusion Based on this result,heat-clearing and dampness-removing, activating blood circulation to eliminate blood stasis was setup as the principle for treating this disease.

AIM:To establish the GC fingerprint of Huoxiang Zhengqi Solution.METHODS:The volatile constituents of Huoxiang Zhengqi Solution were analyzed by capillary GC with FID detector using hydrodistillation and hexane extraction under n-hepladecane used as the reference substance.RESULTS:GC fingerprint of Huoxiang Zhengqi Solution,16 common peaks were established on the basis of systematic methodology after 10 batches of samples were tested.Variation in the relative retention time of 16 identified common peaks were within 0.5% range.CONCLUSION:The analytical method for Huoxiang Zhengqi Solution is precise and reliable.The research would be helpful to offer an effective pattern for quality control of Huoxiang Zhengqi Solution.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the efficacy of endoscopic surgery for juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma.MethodsDuring 27 years from March 1980 to July 2007,we performed endoscopic surgery on totally 19 patients with nasopharyngeal angiofibromas.According to Radkowski Stating,five of the patients were stage ⅠA,ten were stage ⅠB,and 4 were stage ⅡA.Before the endoscopy,superselective embolization was performed in all the cases via bilateral maxillary arteries.Results All tumors were successfully resected by endoscopy.The intraoperative blood loss was 200-600 ml.One of the stageⅡA patient developed cerebrospinal rhinorrhea during the endoscopic resection,and thus received repair of the middle turbinate by a mucosal patch immediately.In this series of patients,no massive epistaxis,intracerebral infection,or blindness occurred.Follow-up at three months after the surgery by nasoscopy showed epithelialisation of the nasal mucous membrane without residual tumor tissues.Meanwhile,otoscopy revealed normal light reflex of the eardrum,no fluid in the middle ear.Of the patients,eleven were followed up for one to five years,during which none of them had recurrent tumors confirmed by nasoscopy or CT scan.Conclusions Endoscopic resection of nasopharyngeal angiofibroma results in little trauma and few blood loss after superselective embolization.Experience and surgical skills are key points for the operation.

Objective To develop integrative Medical Video Network Real-time Communication System based on hospital LAN.Methods According to the practical features in clinical application and the design principles of miniaturization and low power waste,SOPC software and hardware design technologies were utilized to design the system hardware,which mainly includes such 5 function modules as A/D conversion,automatic selection of digital interface,video codec,CPU and system control.The system control software,including transmission module,interception module and control module,was designed under embedded system.Results The integrative Medical Video Network Real-time Communication System based on hospital LAN could encode and decode medical video in real-time,and the transmission and reception parts could automatic position without manual setting,thus facilitating network real-time transmission of clinical medical video.Conclusion Completely meeting the requirement of medical video real-time transmission in hospital scientific research,teaching and academic exchanges,Medical Video Network Real-time Communication System supports hospital scientific research and teaching greatly.

RESUMO

Objective To study a kind of video transformation algorithm based on FPGA in view of the present situation that the video output of X-ray equipment can not be connected to common video adapter.Methods Through the control of non-standard video signal AD sampling data read-write succession in FIFO,800 digital sampling data was output(output resolution:800?600,refresh rate:60Hz)in the period of every line of effective signal.The output module combined these data with line and field synchronized signal and transform them into standard VGA signal.Results Non-standard medical video signal could be transformed into standard medical video signal by using VHDL in normal FPGA.Conclusion The speed of this algorithm is high,and the transformation effect is clear and smooth.

RESUMO

A new method has been developed in this paper for determining sulphide and sulphur dioxide simultaneously. Two emission lines, 202.6 nm and 214.3 nm which are emitted from hollow cathode lamps (HCL) of magnesium and tellurium, respectively, were used as radiation sources for measurement of absorbances of H(2)S at 202.6 nm and SO(2) at 214.3 nm or 202.6 nm. The detection limit for S(2-) was shown to be 0.01 mug/ml and the detection limits for SO(2) with 202.6 nm and 214.3 nm lines were 0.05 and 0.2 mug/ml, respectively. The method has been employed to satisfactorily analyse practical samples.
