Research of the structure and dynamic interactions of particles in the Li0.42K0.58NO3- R (R = α-Al2O3, γ-Al2O3, SiO2) and (LiNO3-LiClO4) - γ-Al2O3 composites in various temperature conditions and phase states.

The paper presents a comprehensive study of the Li0.42K0.58NO3- R (R = α-Al2O3, γ-Al2O3, SiO2) and (LiNO3 - LiClO4) - γ- Al2O3 composite salt systems by vibrational spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometry, and differential scanning calorimetry. According to the results of Raman spectra and XRD analysis, it has been found that in the case of a sufficiently small filler (15 nm-γ-Al2O3 and SiO2), an amorphous phase appears, both for systems based on Li0.42K0.58NO3 and for the nanocomposite based on (LiNO3)0.5-(LiClO4)0.5. In the case of nanocomposites based on the Li0.42K0.58NO3 system, this additionally leads to the formation of the metastable KNO3 (R3m) phase. The temperature changes in the half-widths of the corresponding bands of the Raman spectrum during the transition from a solid-phase to a molten state become less significant as the concentration of the oxide filler increases. At x ≥ 0.7, on the temperature dependences of the half-width of the ν1 (A) band in the vicinity of the melting point, only a small kink characteristic of amorphous systems is noticed. This is confirmed by the results of thermal analysis. It has been found that the solid filler has a different effect on the processes of orientational and vibrational relaxation in the molten phases of the studied NIS, namely, the orientational mobility of NO3- decreases, while the relaxation rate of its vibrational excitation increases.

[Origin of hybrid dwarfness].

In studies of the hybrid combination (F4 Khar'kovskaya 46 x Triticum dicoccum) x Khar'kovskaya 46, a short-stemmed line, whose progeny exhibited traits of hybrid dwarfism, segregated with a frequency close to 1 : 15. Analysis of this line in F3 and hybrids from crosses of the short-stemmed line from this combination with the long-stemmed accession T. turgidum L. (c-38097) showed that the stem size variability curves of the both lines have two peaks. Since these results cannot be explained by complementary interaction of D genes, hybrid dwarfism is probably controlled by pleiotropic action of two genes that have multiple pleiotropic effect on the D2D2 D3D3 genes. Two or three rounds of selection performed on the progeny of plants higher than 80-100 cm produces stable lines without hybrid dwarfism traits, i.e., the pleiotropic effect disappears.

[Early surgical complications of corrective operations in congenital hydronephrosis in children]. / Rannie khirurgicheskie oslozhneniia korrigiruiushchikh operatsii pri vrozhdennom gidronefroze u detei.

The analysis of immediate results of 271 correcting operations for congenital hydronephrosis in children has shown that the operations may be followed by such complications at the early postoperative period as aggravation of pyelonephritis (10 patients), urinal fistulas (8 patients), urinary leakage (4 patients), paraureteral abscesses (3 cases) as well as postoperative bleedings (5 cases) and suppuration of the operative wound (4 cases). The exact performance of plastic operations according to the elaborated method, strict observation of indications and contraindications, complex therapy in the postoperative period were found to reduce the amount of complications.

[Treatment of suppurative joint lesions in children with osteomyelitis]. / O lechenii gnoinykh porazhenii sustavov u detei pri osteomielite.

The authors share their experience of the treatment of purulent injuries of joints in children with osteomyelitis. In 15 of 243 patients with hematogenic osteomyelitis there were injuries of the knee, humeral and elbow joints. The paracentetic method of treatment was used in 7 children, 8 children were subjected to closed continuous drainage and lavage of the articulation cavity with antibiotics with enzymes and antiseptics by an original technique with different combination of drainage tubes. The results of treatment followed during a year show the efficiency of the proposed method of treatment.
