RESUMO

Coastal areas are at a higher risk of flooding, and novel changes in the climate are induced to raise the sea level. Flood acceleration and frequency have increased recently because of unplanned infrastructural conveniences and anthropogenic activities. Therefore, the assessment of flood susceptibility mapping is considered the most significant flood management model. In this paper, flood susceptibility identification is performed by applying the innovative Multi-criteria decision-making model (MCDM) called Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) by ensembles with Support vector machine (AHP-SVM) and Decision Tree (AHP-DT). This model combines two Representation concentration pathway (RCP) scenarios such as RCP 2.6 & RCP 8.5. The factors influencing the coastal flooding in Bandar Abbas, Iran, identified through Flood susceptibility mapping. Multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) has been applied to evaluate the Coastal flood conditioning factors, and ensemble machine learning (ML) approaches are employed for Coastal risk factor (CRF) prediction and classification. The statistical variances are measured through Friedman and Wilcoxon signed rank tests and statistical metrics such as Accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. Among the models, AHP-DT obtained an improved AUC value of ROC as 0.95. After applying the ML models, the northern and western park of Raidak Basin River recognises very low and low flood susceptibility because of their topographic characteristics. The eastern part of the middle section fell very high and high CFSM. Observed from this result analysis, the people living nearer to the coastline are distributed by the low to medium exposure in the region of the west and middle of the considered study area. The results of this study can help decision-makers take necessary risk reduction approaches in the high-risk flooding zones of the coastal system.

RESUMO

Retinoblastoma, the most prevalent pediatric intraocular malignancy, can cause vision loss in children and adults worldwide. Adults may develop uveal melanoma. It is a hazardous tumor that can expand swiftly and destroy the eye and surrounding tissue. Thus, early retinoblastoma screening in children is essential. This work isolated retinal tumor cells, which is its main contribution. Tumors were also staged and subtyped. The methods let ophthalmologists discover and forecast retinoblastoma malignancy early. The approach may prevent blindness in infants and adults. Experts in ophthalmology now have more tools because of their disposal and the revolution in deep learning techniques. There are three stages to the suggested approach, and they are pre-processing, segmenting, and classification. The tumor is isolated and labeled on the base picture using various image processing techniques in this approach. Median filtering is initially used to smooth the pictures. The suggested method's unique selling point is the incorporation of fused features, which result from combining those produced using deep learning models (DL) such as EfficientNet and CNN with those obtained by more conventional handmade feature extraction methods. Feature selection (FS) is carried out to enhance the performance of the suggested system further. Here, we present BAOA-S and BAOA-V, two binary variations of the newly introduced Arithmetic Optimization Algorithm (AOA), to perform feature selection. The malignancy and the tumor cells are categorized once they have been segmented. The suggested optimization method enhances the algorithm's parameters, making it well-suited to multimodal pictures taken with varying illness configurations. The proposed system raises the methods' accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity to 100, 99, and 99 percent, respectively. The proposed method is the most effective option and a viable alternative to existing solutions in the market.

RESUMO

In this article, we focus on optimising the SLM-PTS-CT (selective mapping, partial transmission sequence, circular transformation) hybrid method for optical non-orthogonal multiple access (O-NOMA) waveforms. The goal is to enhance the spectrum performance and practicality of O-NOMA systems while mitigating the PAPR issue through a hybrid approach. The SLM-PTS-CT hybrid method is applicable to O-NOMA waveforms, providing effective PAPR reduction. By dividing the data sequence into sub-blocks, applying phase factors, and rotating the phase of the subcarriers in such a way that the peaks of the signal are distributed more uniformly, the proposed SLM-PTS-CT achieves an optimal PAPR reduction while maintaining the benefits of O-NOMA. The efficiency of the proposed method is analysed by estimating the performance of several parameters, such as bit error rate (BER), PAPR, and power spectral density (PSD), by increasing the number of sub-blocks (S) and phase factor (P). Further, the proposed SLM-PTS-CT is compared with the conventional SLM-PTS, SLM, and PTS. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach efficiently improves spectral efficiency, preserves BER performance, and reduces PAPR as compared with conventional methods.

RESUMO

Lung cancer is the main cause of cancer deaths all over the world. An important reason for these deaths was late analysis and worse prediction. With the accelerated improvement of deep learning (DL) approaches, DL can be effectively and widely executed for several real-world applications in healthcare systems, like medical image interpretation and disease analysis. Medical imaging devices can be vital in primary-stage lung tumor analysis and the observation of lung tumors from the treatment. Many medical imaging modalities like computed tomography (CT), chest X-ray (CXR), molecular imaging, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and positron emission tomography (PET) systems are widely analyzed for lung cancer detection. This article presents a new dung beetle optimization modified deep feature fusion model for lung cancer detection and classification (DBOMDFF-LCC) technique. The presented DBOMDFF-LCC technique mainly depends upon the feature fusion and hyperparameter tuning process. To accomplish this, the DBOMDFF-LCC technique uses a feature fusion process comprising three DL models, namely residual network (ResNet), densely connected network (DenseNet), and Inception-ResNet-v2. Furthermore, the DBO approach was employed for the optimum hyperparameter selection of three DL approaches. For lung cancer detection purposes, the DBOMDFF-LCC system utilizes a long short-term memory (LSTM) approach. The simulation result analysis of the DBOMDFF-LCC technique of the medical dataset is investigated using different evaluation metrics. The extensive comparative results highlighted the betterment of the DBOMDFF-LCC technique of lung cancer classification.

RESUMO

Customer churn prediction (CCP) implies the deployment of data analytics and machine learning (ML) tools to forecast the churning customers, i.e., probable customers who may remove their subscriptions, thus allowing the companies to apply targeted customer retention approaches and reduce the customer attrition rate. This predictive methodology improves active customer management and provides enriched satisfaction to the customers and also continuous business profits. By recognizing and prioritizing the relevant features, such as usage patterns and customer collaborations, and also by leveraging the capability of deep learning (DL) algorithms, the telecom companies can develop highly robust predictive models that can efficiently anticipate and mitigate customer churn by boosting retention approaches. In this background, the current study presents the Archimedes optimization algorithm-based feature selection with a hybrid deep-learning-based churn prediction (AOAFS-HDLCP) technique for telecom companies. In order to mitigate high-dimensionality problems, the AOAFS-HDLCP technique involves the AOAFS approach to optimally choose a set of features. In addition to this, the convolutional neural network with autoencoder (CNN-AE) model is also involved for the churn prediction process. Finally, the thermal equilibrium optimization (TEO) technique is employed for hyperparameter selection of the CNN-AE algorithm, which, in turn, helps in achieving improved classification performance. A widespread experimental analysis was conducted to illustrate the enhanced performance of the AOAFS-HDLCP algorithm. The experimental outcomes portray the high efficiency of the AOAFS-HDLCP approach over other techniques, with a maximum accuracy of 94.65%.
