Orthopedic surgery literature utilizes numerous eponyms, and they have become commonplace among orthopedic surgeons and the general public alike. These eponyms can have important historical implications and their history is often overlooked by the physicians using such terms. This paper seeks to specifically explore the origins of eponyms in orthopedic soft tissue diseases involving the upper extremity.
