RESUMO

This comparative study of the influence of cytoflavin and cardioxipin on the parameters of 24-hour arterial pressure monitoring in 56 patients with chronic cerebral circulation insufficiency, arterial hypertension and hypercholesterolemia included 32 women and 24 men aged 42-72 years divided into 3 groups matchedfor the stage of diseases, age, sex, severity of AH, total cholesterol level, and antihypertensive therapy. Patients of group 1 were treated without cytoflavin and cardioxipin. Those in group 2 received daily i/v droplet infusion of 10 mg/kg cardioxipin (20-30 droplets/min). Patients of group 3 were given daily i/v droplet infusion of 10 ml cytoflavin in 200 ml 0.9% sodium chloride solution for 10 days. 24-hour arterial pressure monitoring was used to estimate the influence of the two drugs on systolic and diastolic pressure, its daily rhythm, AP variability and frequency of elevation. The study showed that both therapeutic modalities improved daily AP rhythm as manifested in a significant increase of the number of patients with the dipper rhythm and a decrease in the number of systolic/diastolic non-dipper patients. Moreover cytoflavin significantly decreased the number of systolic over-dippers compared with control group.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To compare the effects of cytoflavin and cardioxipin on the emotional status of rats with experimental disturbance of lipid metabolism using the uplifted cruciform labyrinth method. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The disturbance of lipid metabolism was induced by the introduction of exogenic cholesterol-in -oil emulsion in dosage 40 mg /kg of body mass during 20 days. Pharmacological treatment was performed in the 11th day. The drugs were injected intraperitoneally during 10 days: cytoflavin in dose 1,75 ml/ kg (175 mg/kg with succinic acid), cardioxipin in dose 52,5 mg/kg. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Cytoflavin and cardioxipin caused the positive changes in the parameters of emotional status of rats in conditions of experimental dyslipidemia.

RESUMO

Comparative tests on nonlinear rats of both sex with model violation of lipid metabolism have been performed in order to study the effects of cytoflavin (1.75 ml/kg or 175 mg/kg with respect to succinic acid) and cardioxipin (52.5 mg/kg) on lipid peroxidation and antioxidant protection indices in the blood. It is established that these preparations cause a decrease in the content of malonic dialdehyde (MDA) in erythrocytes that results in increased antioxidant activity and lipid reserves for peroxidation in the blood.

RESUMO

The results of complex treatment of 113 patients with different forms of erysipelas were analyzed. In 73 (64.6%) of them argon plasma using "Argon scalpel SP-CPT" in therapeutic regimen was applied as daily local exposure. In 40 (35,4%) patients with complicated form of erysipelas regimen "coagulation" was applied for additional sanitation of wound surface after surgical treatment of purulent focus. The results of treatment in the study group were better than in the control group. Argon plasma may be regarded as effective method of prophylaxis of necrotic and purulent complications particularly in patients with high risk of these complications.

RESUMO

NO-therapy with "Plazon" system was used in complex treatment of purulent and necrotic lesions of the lower extremities in 65 diabetic patients. Efficacy was evaluated with clinical, cytological and bacteriological studies. All the phases of wound process were shorter when NO-therapy was used. Complex treatment with NO-therapy led to faster (2 times) epithelization of diabetic ulcers compared with continual treatment.

RESUMO

The mathematically determined risk index was used for prognosis of surgery in 122 patients with postoperative hernias. Standard preoperative treatment and special pneumocompression were used to prepare the patients for surgery. High-risk patients with the big size hernias should be prepared for surgery for a long time. Graded pneumocompression and abdominal wall plastics without decrease of the volume of abdominal cavity are advocated in such cases. This approach made it possible to decrease the number of early postoperative complications.

RESUMO

The results of surgical treatment of of 392 patients with postoperative ventral hernia are discussed. The algorithm of treatment of patients with large hernias was developed. Special preoperative management by dosed pneumocompression in an antioverload costume makes it possible to avoid menacing complications after the operation, which are caused by increased intraabdominal pressure. Test for tolerance to increase of intraabodominal pressure allowed prognostication of the character of the operative intervention: with or without decrease of the volume of the abdominal cavity (autoplasty or alloplasty, respectively). Prevention of wound complications consisted in control of infection, improvement of operative techniques, and use of modern surgical instruments. The prevention of recurrent hernias should be directed at correct choice of the method of plastics and removal of wound complications.

RESUMO

Alloplasty with synthetic prosthesis has its advantages and shortcomings. The great number of wound complications limits the wide use of alloplastics in repair of defects in the abdominal wall in patients with large postoperative hernias. For reducing the incidence of wound complications, it is important to solve some problems: organization of herniological centers and specialized departments, industrial production of synthetic prostheses of various size in sterile packings, perfection of the alloplasty techniques, and observance of measures for the prevention of infection.

RESUMO

Hemodynamic parameters have been analyzed in 68 inpatients with large postoperative ventral hernia. Most of the patients showed normodynamic circulation. The artificial rise of the intra-abdominal pressure in the course of the preoperative preparation induced hypodynamic response of the cardiovascular system. Early after the surgery, the patients had hypodynamic circulation. As compared to induced abdominal hypertension, this hypodynamia was less pronounced indicating adaptation of the cardiac activity to preoperative hypertension. This is confirmed by the absence of complications related to high intraabdominal pressure in early postoperative period.

RESUMO

A technique of subfascial electrocoagulation of the communicating shin veins through an endoscope in 53 patients with varicose dilatation of the lower extremity veins and postthrombophlebitis syndrome is described. The technique is not complicated and gives good cosmetic results.

RESUMO

Our experience with esophageal replacement by transposition of the right colon with a segment of ileum in patients with cicatricial esophageal strictures caused by the ingestion of caustic agents has been discussed. We demonstrated, by means of the D-xylose test, that the length of ileal segment did not adversely affect the absorptive ability of the intestine, which returned to the preoperative level shortly after the operation and even exceeded that level 12 months thereafter.
