[The characterization of subjects primarily ascertained invalids due to peptic ulcer after gastric resection].

One hundred and ninety-three patients (156 men; 37 women), who had undergone gastric resection for peptic ulcer, were examined by a medical expert committee for the ascertaining of invalidism; 70.2% of them were less than retirement age. Among the subjects, 90.2% were primarily ascertained group II or III invalids (54.4% and 35.8%, respectively), 32.8% were ascertained permanent invalids, and 67.2% were ascertained invalids with certain time limits. The latter group was to undergo rehabilitation.
