RESUMO

The pleomorphism of the tussies taking part in the formation of oral cavity is basis for the great majority of benign and malignant tumors. They often have similar clinical manifestations macroscopic view. Histological investigations help us for exact diagnosis and adequate treatment. Authors present a clinical case of 67 years old female treated in II ORL clinic of a tumour, originating from the floor of oral cavity, displacing tongue to the left. First complaints of the pathient a dating from 23 years. During that period the tumour gradually increased its dimensions and obstructed swallowing. The weight of the pathient of the time of the admitance at the hospital was 47 Kg. After operative removal of the tumour, the woman was in very good condition. The histological result--fibrolipoma. At the control examination (3 and 6 months after operation) she had increase her weight by 17 and 21 Kg respectively. This case present the conclusion that even benign tumours should be removed in shortes possible terms after the diagnoses.

RESUMO

The proposed operative technique with maternal auricular cartilage ear-donor) is modification of the method of M. Madzharov et al., for total and partial reconstruction of the auricle. The method includes the use of allogenic auricular cartilage and autogenic perichondrium (rib of auricular), attached to the cartilage with autogenic fibrin glue and/or sutured by nylon. The method is applied to 18 years old female patient with bilateral microtia III gr., for reconstruction of the left year. 2 years later, satisfying cosmetic result was encountered on the operated left ear and ear-donor. Briefly summarizing, auriculoplasty with maternal auricular cartilage is reliable method, especially in cases when cartilage of the ear-donor is strictly subperichondrially dissected and covered with autogenic rib of auricular perichondrium.

RESUMO

The authors have the aim to discuss their experience in the field of treatment of otogenic intracranial complications results of inflammatory process. A short reference of the spread of this kind of pathology is made. The up-to-date methods for diagnostics, behaviour, conservative and surgery treatment of these patients are examined. A case is represented as an illustration, that regardless of the big progress in the medical knowledge and the opportunities of the surgery technique nowadays, these complications continue to be a serious problem in the otorhinolaryngology and enforced close collaboration. The publication is a teamwork of otorhinolaryngologists and neurosurgeons.

RESUMO

The authors make short review on the one of most malignant neoplasms in human pathology--its incidence, ethiology, pathogenesis, clinical characteristics, diagnosis, treatment and prognostic features. We present a clinical case from our practice--a melanoma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses--a rare localization. Melanocarcinomas of the mucous membranes of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses are almost uniformly fatal. Undoubtedly some of the contributory reasons for their grave prognosis are the delay in detection and in accurate histologic diagnosis, the frequent injudicious therapy, the difficulties in adequate operative removal. Melanomas o mucous membranes may arise in mucosa lined by either normally present, or metaplastic stratified squamous epithelium.

RESUMO

Experience is recorded with the diagnosis and successful surgical treatment of 5 patients with retroperitoneal and mesenterial cysts. According to available data in the literature, one patients with retroperitoneal or mesenteric cyst falls among an average of 34,000-105,000 in-lying patients. Basic symptom on physical examination was a palpable tumor mass in the abdomen. In recent years correct preoperative diagnosis of these diseases has been established in 85-95 per cent of the cases with the help of echography and computer tomography. The surgical approach was determined from the possibility for total or partial removal of the cyst, which was sometimes accompanied by partial or total removal of abdominal organs involved in the pathologic process.
