[Pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect and major aorto-pulmonary collateral arteries: diagnosis and treatment].

The basic principles of diagnosis and management of pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect and major aorto-pulmonary collateral arteries are systematizes in this paper. The personal experience of surgical treatment of consecutive 66 patients with this disease is analyzed, including one-stage and multistage approaches.

[The use of the upper septal approach during the performance of operations on the left atrioventricular valve]. / Vykorystannia verkhn'oseptal'noho dostupu pid chas vykonannia operatsii na livomu peredserdno-shlunochkovomu klapani.

The upper septal access to left atrioventricular valve (LAVV) was applied while the operation conduction, using the heart-lung apparatus, in 7 patients. Excellent exposition of all the parts of the LAVV ring and of subvalvular apparatus was achieved in all observations. There were no observed significant rhythm disorders and other complications due to the access chosen.

[The use of atrioplasty in the surgical treatment of mitral valve prolapse complicated by the enlargement of left atrium]. / Zastosuvannia atrioplastyky v khirurhichnomu likuvanni mitral'noï vady sertsia, uskladnennoï znachnym zbil'shenniam livoho peredserdia.

Surgical treatment was conducted in 113 patients with the mitral valve failure, complicated by significant enlargement of the left auricle (LA). The simultant operation had included the mitral valve prosthesis and the LA reducing plasty according to the original method. The additional surgical correction of other valves affection was conducted in 44 patients. The hospital lethality have constituted 6.2%.
