RESUMO

The research on node importance identification for temporal networks has attracted much attention. In this work, combined with the multi-layer coupled network analysis method, an optimized supra-adjacency matrix (OSAM) modeling method was proposed. In the process of constructing an optimized super adjacency matrix, the intra-layer relationship matrixes were improved by introducing the edge weight. The inter-layer relationship matrixes were formed by improved similarly and the inter-layer relationship is directional by using the characteristics of directed graphs. The model established by the OSAM method accurately expresses the structure of the temporal network and considers the influence of intra- and inter-layer relationships on the importance of nodes. In addition, an index was calculated by the average of the sum of the eigenvector centrality indices for a node in each layer and the node importance sorted list was obtained from this index to express the global importance of nodes in temporal networks. The experimental results on three real temporal network datasets Enron, Emaildept3, and Workspace showed that compared with the SAM and the SSAM methods, the OSAM method has a faster message propagation rate and larger message coverage and better SIR and NDCG@10 indicators.

RESUMO

Stable transmission of genetic information during cell division requires faithful mitotic spindle assembly and chromosome segregation. The Ran GTPase plays a key role in mitotic spindle assembly. However, how the generation of a chemical gradient of Ran-GTP at the spindle is coupled to mitotic post-translational modifications has never been characterized. Here, we solved the complex structure of Ran with the nucleotide release factor Mog1 and delineated a novel mitosis-specific acetylation-regulated Ran-Mog1 interaction during chromosome segregation. Our structure-guided functional analyses revealed that Mog1 competes with RCC1 for Ran binding in a GTP/GDP-dependent manner. Biochemical characterization demonstrated that Mog1-bound Ran prevents RCC1 binding and subsequent GTP loading. Surprisingly, Ran is a bona fide substrate of TIP60, and the acetylation of Lys134 by TIP60 liberates Mog1 from Ran binding during mitosis. Importantly, this acetylation-elicited switch of Ran binding to RCC1 promotes high level of Ran-GTP, which is essential for chromosome alignment. These results establish a previously uncharacterized regulatory mechanism in which TIP60 provides a homeostatic control of Ran-GTP level by tuning Ran effector binding for chromosome segregation in mitosis.

RESUMO

With use of simple terpyridine zinc nitrate complexes, intriguing visual recognition of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) via selective coordination assembly leading to two-component metallo-hydrogel formation has been realized. With intensive fluorescent study and density functional theory calculations, it may be inferred, besides the selective metal-ligand interaction between Zn center and phosphate groups, the intramolecular π-stacking between the planar nucleobases of ATP and the metal-hybrid aromatic ring of pincer complex strongly affected the geometry of the coordinated adducts and possible molecular self-assembly process, which constitute a completely new sensing strategy in comparison with the conventional approaches. Furthermore, in light of extreme sensitivity of pincer zinc complexes toward ATP at micromolar scale (1.85 µM) and remarkable fluorescent enhancement (ca. 44-fold) upon ATP addition, the feasibility of the low cytotoxicity pincer zinc complexes in monitoring ATP in HeLa cells has been fulfilled with confocal fluorescence microscopy.

RESUMO

Due to its special coordination ability to Cu(II)-terpyridine complexes, a simple and straightforward visual recognition of p-DMAP out of its analogues has been realized via selective metallogel collapse. In combination with the selective gel collapse and the self-healing properties of metallohydrogel , its potential application towards chemo-switch is also demonstrated.

RESUMO

Presently, elderly and advanced lung cancer patients have very limited treatment options. With no promising therapy, treatment of these patients is challenging. We have reviewed 119 primary lung cancer patients who received a combined percutaneous cryoablation and traditional Chinese medicine therapy (Cryo-TCM therapy) between 2005 and 2013. Out of 119 patients, 84.1% patients were elderly or advanced lung cancer when receiving cryoablation. Overall Survival time from the time of Diagnosis (DOS) and Cryoablation (COS) was 19 and 10 months respectively, which were longer than data previously published. Patients who accepted only Cryo-TCM therapy got similar DOS as those who were treated with Cryo-TCM and other classic anticancer therapies. Thus, Cryo-TCM therapy can prolong the survival time and can be used as the main therapy for the elderly or advanced lung cancer patients in China both in quality of life and cost effectiveness.

RESUMO

Novel pincer-type, pyridine-bridged bis(benzimidazolylidene)-palladium complexes 5-7 were synthesised from cheap commercial precursors under microwave assistance. Although simple in structure, carbene complexes 5a,b are efficient low-molecular-mass metallogelators. They gelate not only a broad variety of protic and aprotic organic solvents, but also different types of customary ionic liquids (such as imidazolium, pyridinium, pyrazolidinium, piperidinium and ammonium salts) at concentrations as low as 0.5 mg mL(-1). The morphologies of the resulting 3D gel networks composed from long and thin fibres were studied by TEM and light microscopy for a selection of organic and ionic liquids. The achiral gelators are able to induce the formation of helical fibres. The thermal stability of the gel samples increases with the gelator concentration as demonstrated by thermoreversible DSC studies. Temperature-dependent NMR and X-ray diffraction studies, as well as comparisons with pincer complex analogues bearing shorter alkyl chains, suggest that the 3D networks responsible for gelation are based on non-covalent interactions, such as pi-stacking, van der Waals interactions, and hydrogen and metal-metal bonding. Ionic liquids and gels obtained from them and 5a,b display comparable high conductivities, which characterises pyridine-bridged bis(benzimidazolylidene)-palladium pincer complexes as air-stable metallo gelators that efficiently immobilise ionic liquids in low gelator concentration indicating--beyond catalysis--their potential applications in electrochemical devices.

RESUMO

In this paper, five of six samples of 2,3-allenoic acid enantiomers were separated by capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) using hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin (HP-beta-CD) and hydroxypropyl-gamma-cyclodextrin (HP-gamma-CD) as chiral selectors. Using HP-beta-CD for chiral separation, three of the six enantiomers were separated. Five experimental conditions including HP-beta-CD concentration, pH, buffer concentration, temperature, and running voltage were investigated for their influence on separation and migration using enantiomers of 2-methyl-4-phenyl-2,3-butadienoic acid (A) and 2-(n-propyl)-4-phenyl-2,3-butadienoic acid (B) as samples. Good separation results were observed when [HP-beta-CD] = 3-12 mmol/L and pH = 7-9 for samples A and B. The temperature range of 15-25 degrees C can be selected for convenience. According to the chiral separation results, HP-beta-CD and HP-gamma-CD should be valuable selectors to separate 2,3-allenoic acids and HP-gamma-CD was suggested to separate the 2,3-allenoic acid samples with a group at 4-position bulkier than phenyl.
