RESUMO

Scholars acknowledge the critical role of employee innovative work behavior (IWB) in facilitating organizational innovation in high-tech industries. However, the current knowledge is far from complete to paint a clear picture of how to evoke employee IWB in the Chinese high-tech industry. Many Chinese high-tech firms face a challenge moving from hierarchy-based leadership toward more employee-centered leadership styles, as the styles have different effects on employees' IWB. This perspective may complement and sharpen the incomplete picture. Drawing on a dynamic componential model of creativity and innovation, this study proposes and tests a moderated mediation model that examines the hypothesized positive influence of servant leadership on employee IWB via meaningful work as well as the moderating role of job autonomy in this process. We collected data (N = 288) from three Chinese high-tech firms and found that employees' perceptions of meaningful work mediate the relationship between servant leaders and IWB. We also found that this mediating relationship is conditional on the moderating role of job autonomy in the path from servant leadership to meaningful work. The results further show that the indirect effect of servant leadership on employee IWB via meaningful work exists only when job autonomy is high.

RESUMO

A scheme of a mixture of normal laws of weight distribution in Oestrus ovis L. larvae of various stages was used for the determination of their mortality and for the evaluation of basic distribution parameters. No mortality was observed in 2nd- and 3rd-stage larvae. The distribution of the number of 1st-stage larvae corresponds to the negative binomial law. The weight distribution correlates with the quantitative distribution of the 1st-stage larvae. The present studies are based on the results obtained during the investigations of ovine oestrosis in Stavropol Territory of the RSFSR and the Kalmyk ASSR performed by K.A. Breev and his coworkers in 1976-77.

RESUMO

Multifactor analysis was used to make clinical and hemodynamic comparisons in 42 patients with borderline arterial hypertension, 27 with Stage I hypertension, 40 with Stage II hypertension, and 40 healthy persons. Central hemodynamic parameters at rest and during graded bicycle ergometer exercise were measured by the Defares carbon dioxide return respiration method modified by V. L. Karpman. As compared with patients with hyperkinetic circulation, those with hypokinetic one were older, had a longer history of arterial hypertension, obesity, more common left ventricular hypertrophy, higher baseline diastolic pressures and total peripheral vascular resistance, less increase in cardiac index and greater enhancement of total peripheral vascular resistance during submaximal exercise. There was a clear-cut correlation between the progression of arterial hypertension and increase in values of factors I (clinical and hemodynamic) and III (cardiotonic).

RESUMO

In 50 patients with asthma we have determined skin tests on dust and pollen allergens, forced expiratory volume for one second (FEV1) before and after subcutaneous injections of epinephrine standard dose, adrenoreactivity by adrenodependent cyclic AMP levels and glycogenolysis, cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase activity, levels of eosinophils in blood (in all 28 characteristic features). Factor and correlation analysis were carried out by electronic computer. In addition, in 121 patients we have determined adrenodependent glycogenolysis in leucocyte suspension incubated with various allergens the content of diene conjugates and total antioxidative activity of plasma. It is concluded that atopic and nonatopic forms of asthma are diseases of different nature in their constitutional origin, pathogenic agents of environment and cellular and subcellular mechanisms of their development. Moreover, the pathogenetic role of allergen-induced lipid peroxidation that correlates with lymphocyte adrenoreactivity is shown.

RESUMO

Discrete distributions of the elementary EPSP amplitude in the interneuronal synapses of vertebrates were obtained by the maximum likelihood method. The equality of the intervals between values of the computed densities testifies to the quantal nature of the signal. The binomial model approximating the empirical distributions is revealed to be able to distinguish quantal levels of the nerve impulse transmission. These levels are conditioned by the structural organization of the interneuronal connections. Systematical differences between empirical distributions and the model necessitate generalization of the latter.

RESUMO

The convolution of two binomial distributions has been used for the analysis of the discrete distributions of the elementary EPSPs amplitude in the sensorimotor, proprio- and reticulo-motoneuronal synapses of the frog. It is shown that the quantity of the working transmitter release sites is higher than that estimated by the binomial distribution. The probability of the release sites response to the single action potential was unequal. In most sites they did not exceed 0.1-0.3 and were supported on the constant level. The effect on the transmitter release mechanism induced blocking of the release sites. The disturbance of preparation to the transmitter release sharply decreased the probability of the release sites response.

RESUMO

While studying the consistent patterns in the host-parasite relationships on the model of warble flies infesting cattle, a firm internal regulatory system governing the number of parasites on the host and reflected in the level of populations, has been demonstrated. This regulatory system is governed by mathematical-statistical laws and therefore can be modelled and its different features expressed mathematically. The distribution of parasites in the host population agrees with the negative binomial distribution. Main mathematical formulations of the regulatory system (parameters) and defensive responses of the host to the invasion of parasites are analyzed. From the above consistent patterns important conclusions are drawn for the control of cattle hypodermatosis in practice. The mathematical model elucidates two states of control--the first stage conforms to the natural regulatory system leading to a marked decrease of the degree of infestation, and the second stage is aiming at the eradication of the disease. It may be deduced from the above said that the control of hypodermatosis is expedient primarily in juvenile cattle, as shown by the results of the control carried out in Czechoslovakia.
