RESUMO
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, a 26 niños y adolescentes miopes atendidos en Consulta de Oftalmología del Centro provincial de Retinosis Pigmentaria en el primer semestre del año 2008, los cuales recibieron tratamientos con ozonoterapia porqueindependientemente de tener su corrección óptica manifestaban síntomas como nictalopía, visión borrosa y síntomas inflamatorios del segmento anterior, en todos se utilizó la vía rectal, con una dosis media de 3 mg diarios en 15 aplicaciones. En el 76 por ciento se notó la mejoría de los síntomas en la primera semana de tratamiento, sólo en el 4 por ciento de los tratados no recibieron ningún beneficio a los 15 días de terminar la terapéutica Se evidenció una vez más la acción favorable del ozono como modulador de la respuesta biológica, como anti-inflamatorio, así como en los cuadros hipóxicos...(AU)
A descriptive study in 25 children and adolescents with myopia, that were assisted at ophthalmology consultation at Provincial Center of Retinitis in 2008 was carried out Patients were treated with ozone therapy through rectal tract , in spite of they underwent surgery they had symptoms like nyctalopia, blurred vision and inflammatory symptoms of the previous segment, with a half dose of 3 mg daily with 15 applications In 76 percent of patients the improvement of the symptoms was noticed in the first week of treatment, only 4 percent of them did not improve in 15 days with therapy.
