RESUMO

In females and males with uveitis, a similar picture was to be seen of changes in indices for the titre of antibodies in the peripheral blood. It could be summarized that a more profound immunodeficiency in those specimens demonstrating elevated parameters for acetylation is associated with a stronger impact of products of the inflammatory reaction in the eye to immunocompetent cells. But more in-depth research is needed into this question to resolve it.

RESUMO

Radiotherapeutic efficacious of the compounds from major organs and tissues of Central Asian tortoise--the animal known for its unique radioresistance, has been checked up. Along with the so well-known compounds as the plasma ones, tortoise spleen extracts (TSE) and the ones from the liver of adult animals and embryos, extracts from kidneys and muscles have been shown to increase the survivability rate of irradiated rats and mice. The compound, that called "Tortezin" shows the highest blood cell cytosol effect. The specific activity and the output are 4 and 12 times higher, than the ones of TSE, respectively. Dose increase factor (DIF) reaches as far as 1.41. The compound possesses considerable immunostimulating activity. The detailed physico-chemical characteristics of the compound, quite sufficient for its identification has been made.

RESUMO

The influence of transplantable tumour on migration, proliferation and differentiation of haemopoietic stem cells was studied. It is shown that in the initial period of tumour development the migration and proliferation of stem cells intensify. In the final stage of the tumour growth the quantity of haemopoietic stem cells decreases considerably in the bone marrow, spleen, and peripheral blood. It is established that during the tumour growth the differentiation of stem cells from the spleen changed towards erythropoiesis.

RESUMO

We investigated the effect of polyacrilic acid (PAA) on the immune response in mice of various strains on sheep red blood cells and also the influence of poly-2-methyl-5-vinyl-pyridine (PMVY), PAA and their statistical copolymers on antibody-forming cells (AFC) production in cultures of T- and B-lymphocytes in vivo. PAA was seen to increase accumulation of AFC in the spleen of mice depending on their genotypes. PMVP and PAA were found to intensify the cooperating interaction of T- and B-lymphocytes, whereas their copolymers exert quite an opposite effect. The injection of copolymers to the recipients of cooperating T- and B-lymphocytes practically results in the complete elimination of the cooperation effect between T- and B-lymphocytes in the immune response to sheep erythrocytes without cytostatic action of cell proliferation.

RESUMO

Migration of stem cells and B-lymphocytes from the bone marrow and of T-lymphocytes from the thymus was studied on special models in mice of the CBA and C57BL lines, responding to sheep erythrocytes oppositely. Genetically-determined differences in the height of the immune response between the CBA and C57BL mice in immunization with sheep erythrocytes depended to a certain extent on different expression of the process of intensification of migration of the stem cells, T- and B-lymphocytes in response to the antigen administration.

RESUMO

Inbred mice--C57BL, A, C57BR, C3H and CBA strains with a high, medium and low response to sheep red blood cells (SRBC) were injected with polymeres--poly-4-vinylpyridine (P-4-VP) and polyacrilic acid (PAA), and were immunized with SRBC; production of antibody-forming cells in their spleen was determined. It was shown that the administration of P-4-VP to C57BL mice was followed by a 5--fold increase of the immune response and injection of PAA--by a 4-fold increase. Injection of P-4-VP and PAA to CBA mice increase the immune response 2.5- and 2.8-fold, respectively. In the C57BR mice P-4-VP increased the immune response 4 times, and PAA--4.7 times. Treatment of C3H mice with P-4VP was followed by a 2-fold and with PAA by a 2.4-fold increase of the immune response. Injection of P-4-VP and PAA to CBA mice had no effect on the immune response. Thus, with the increase of the immunological reactivity to sheep erythrocytes in the mentioned strains of mice there was observed a reduction of the enhancing effect of the polymeres to the immune response.

RESUMO

C57BL and CBA mice, with low or high reaction to immunization with sheep erythrocytes, respectively, were given transplantation of the syngenous lymphoid or bone marrow cells. Transplantation of the syngenous cells to C57BL mice intensified the production of antibody-forming cells to sheep erythrocytes and depressed it in transplantation to CBA mice. A different effect of transplantation of the lymphoid and bone marrow cells on the immune response, depending on the recipient's genotype, is discussed.
