[Continuous gastric oxygen therapy in surgical treatment of ulcer]. / Besperervna shlunkova oksyhenoterapiia v hirurhichnomu likuvanni vyrazkovoï hvoroby.

There was investigated the efficacy of the uninterrupted prolonged gastric oxygenotherapy application in complex of preoperative preparation and postoperative management of 46 patients with the ulcer disease of stomach and duodenum, complicated by penetration (in 18 observation) and hemorrhage (in 28). Prolonged application of oxygenotherapy had promoted the stopping of hemorrhage, elimination of dyspeptic symptoms; after operation were observed restoration of intestinal peristalsis and recovery of patients more effectively and rapidly, than in control group.
