[Experience with the surgical treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders]. / Opyt khirurgicheskogo lecheniia narushenii ritma serdtsa.

The authors analyse the results of their 10 years experience of surgical treatment of cardiac arrhythmia in 827 patients. Survival in the course of 3 years amounted to 73% of all the patients, in the course of a 5 year period--to 67%. The article presents experimental data substantiating the effectiveness of transvenous laser micro-transsection and cryoablation of atrioventricular connection and His-bundle in treating supraventricular tachycardias.

[Treatment of patients with late thrombosis after reconstructive surgery of the terminal segment of the aorta and its branches]. / Lechenie bol'nykh s pozdnim yrombozom posle rekonstruktivnykh operatsii na terminal'nom otdele aorty i ee vetvakh.

An analysis of personal clinical observations (339 patients) has been performed. In 45 of the patients (13.3%) late thromboses developed within the period from 3 months to 5 years. Under analysis were results of the investigation of rheological properties of blood in the regional and peripheral blood flow by stages of the disease, methods of detoxication and correction of hemorheology. Results of the treatment are described.

[Endovascular balloon dilatation in the treatment of atherosclerotic lesions of the iliac artery]. / Endovaskuliarnaia ballonnaia dilatatsiia v lechenii ateroskleroticheskikh porazhenii podvzdoshnoi arterii.

Roentgen-endovascular balloon dilatation was used in 16 patients with segmentary stenoses and occlusions of arteries and lower extremity ischemias. The results obtained suggest high efficiency of roentgen-endovascular balloon dilatation for the reestablishment of major blood flow.

[Use of surgical biopsy of the kidney in the differential diagnosis of various forms of arterial hypertension]. / Primenenie operatsionnoi biopsii pochki v differentsial'noi diagnostike razlichnykh form arterial'noi gipertonii.

To make a more precise diagnosis, kidney biopsy was performed in 17 patients with a severe course of blood hypertension due to a mild urinary syndrome. Taking into account the high risk of hemorrhagic complications in such patients, an operational biopsy was performed (in 13 patients in a open way and in 4 patients in a semiopen one). As a result of the histologic investigation of kidney bioptates, the diagnosis was changed in more than half patients. In the postoperative period, almost all the patients had microhematuria, 1 subject having massive bleeding into the retroperitoneal cavity that required nephrectomy. In 3 subjects the postoperative period was complicated by wound suppuration.
