[Use of a helium-neon laser in the ambulatory treatment of hypertrophic skin cicatrices and slowly granulating wounds]. / Ispol'zovanie gelii-neonovogo lazera v ambulatornoi praktike dlia lecheniia gipertrofirovannykh kozhnykh rubtsov i vialo-granuliruiushchikh ran.

The authors describe their experience with the treatment of 23 patients by irradiation of helium-neon laser. Positive effect was obtained in 30 patients.

Laser therapy proved to be effective in the treatment of patients with trophic ulcers, deforming arthrosis of the I and II degree, and particularly, in early stages of inflammatory processes (infiltrative stage) and in some surgical diseases, as well. So, there are all the grounds for further and more broad and profound experimental and clinical study of laser therapy in various diseases, surgical ones, in particular.

[Symptom dynamics in the surgical treatment of posttraumatic arthrosis deformans of the knee joint]. / Dinamika simptomov pri khirurgicheskom lechenii posttravmati-cheskogo deformiruiushchego artroza kolennogo sustava.

288 cases of posttraumatic deforming arthrosis of the knee-joint were examined. The further postoperative periodic examinations and checking of the late results of the treatment of 171 patients have proved that the symptoms of the disease are mainly due to the disorders in the knee-joint stability. The obtained data suggest the possibility of a secondary inflammatory origin of pain in deforming arthrosis and witness an important role played by the surgical prevention and correction of the joint instability in clinical remission of th disease.

[Objective control in treating arthrosis deformans of the knee joint in hospitals and under ambulatory conditions]. / Ob'ektivnyi kontrol' pri lechenii deformiruiushchego artroza kolennogo sustava v statsionarnykh i ambulatornykh sloviiakh

The aim of the present work is to study the peculiarities of upright position and walking in patients with deforming arthrosis of the knee joint and to make a conclusion as to the possibility of using biomechanical methods for an objective estimate of the efficacy of treatment in such patients. The authors examined 88 patients with deforming arthrosis of various degree of severity and marked pain syndrome. In the examination separate weighing, seismoactography, ichnography and podography were employed. Deforming arthrosis of the knee joint was found to be accompanied with significant disorders in the upright position and walking, including a decreased static stress on the affected extremity, an increased amplitude oscillations of the body center of gravity while standing on the affected extremity and others.
