PURPOSE: Wheelchair users experience many barriers to physical activity as affordable and accessible exercise equipment options are limited. Thus, the home-based adapted rower (aROW) and gym-based aROW were developed. The objectives were to determine: 1) wheelchair users' preferences, perspectives, facilitators, and barriers to using the home-based versus the gym-based aROW, 2) perceived usability of the home and gym aROWs, and 3) recommendations to adapt the aROW further for home and community use. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this two-phase exploratory mixed-methods study, participants completed one month of using a home aROW, followed by one month of using a community gym aROW. After each phase, participants completed a semi-structured interview and the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. Interview data were analyzed using conventional content analysis and effect size comparing SUS data was calculated. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: Four categories were identified: what worked well, barriers to using the aROWs, what could be improved and important considerations. There was a large effect size in perceived usability between the aROWs with participants preferring the home aROW. Overall, rowing was enjoyable, and participants achieved positive physical outcomes. As preferences are individual, the home aROW provides wheelchair users with a potential choice between home or gym exercise.

AIM: Extended total colonic aganglionosis (ETCA) represents uncommon forms of Hirschsprung disease (HD), with aganglionosis extending into the proximal small bowel. ETCA management is challenging and associated with poor outcomes and high mortality. This study compares management and outcomes of ETCA to more common HD forms. METHODS: A retrospective cohort of HD patients (2012-2023) from two institutions. Three HD forms were compared: short-segment HD (SSHD, n = 19), long-segment HD or total colonic aganglionosis (LS/TCA, n = 9) and ETCA (n = 7). RESULTS: Normally innervated segments in ETCA patients ranged 0-70 cm. Median times to first surgery were; ETCA = 3 days versus TCA = 21 days (p = 0.017) and SSHD = 95 days (p < 0.001), respectively. Median number of surgeries were; ETCA = 4, versus TCA = 2 (p = 0.17) and SSHD = 1 (p = 0.002), respectively. All the patients underwent a definitive pull-through procedure, except four ETCA patients with a permanent jejunostomy and residual aganglionic segment of 57-130 cm. ETCA patients had 92% lower odds of enterocolitis (14%) compared to TCA patients (67%, p = 0.054), and comparable odds to SSHD patients (16%, p = 0.92). ETCA mortality was 14%. CONCLUSION: Extended total colonic aganglionosis patients require earlier and multiple interventions. Leaving an aganglionic segment may be advantageous, without increasing risk for enterocolitis. Tailored surgical treatment and rehabilitation programmes may prevent mortality and need for transplantation.

Background. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an invasive organism that frequently causes severe tissue damage in diabetic foot ulcers.Gap statement. The characterisation of P. aeruginosa strains isolated from diabetic foot infections has not been carried out in Tunisia.Purpose. The aim was to determine the prevalence of P. aeruginosa isolated from patients with diabetic foot infections (DFIs) in Tunisia and to characterize their resistance, virulence and molecular typing.Methods. Patients with DFIs admitted to the diabetes department of the International Hospital Centre of Tunisia, from September 2019 to April 2021, were included in this prospective study. P. aeruginosa were obtained from the wound swabs, aspiration and soft tissue biopsies during routine clinical care and were confirmed by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing, serotyping, integron and OprD characterization, virulence, biofilm production, pigment quantification, elastase activity and molecular typing were analysed in all recovered P. aeruginosa isolates by phenotypic tests, specific PCRs, sequencing, pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) and multilocus sequence typing.Results. Sixteen P. aeruginosa isolates (16.3 %) were recovered from 98 samples of 78 diabetic patients and were classified into 6 serotypes (O:11 the most frequent), 11 different PFGE patterns and 10 sequence types (three of them new ones). The high-risk clone ST235 was found in two isolates. The highest resistance percentages were observed to netilmicin (69 %) and cefepime (43.8 %). Four multidrug-resistant (MDR) isolates (25 %) were detected, three of them being carbapenem-resistant. The ST235-MDR strain harboured the In51 class 1 integron (intI1 +aadA6+orfD+qacED1-sul1). According to the detection of 14 genes involved in virulence or quorum sensing, 5 virulotypes were observed, including 5 exoU-positive, 9 exoS-positive and 2 exoU/exoS-positive strains. The lasR gene was truncated by ISPpu21 insertion sequence in one isolate, and a deletion of 64 bp in the rhlR gene was detected in the ST235-MDR strain. Low biofilm, pyoverdine and elastase production were detected in all P. aeruginosa; however, the lasR-truncated strain showed a chronic infection phenotype characterized by loss of serotype-specific antigenicity, high production of phenazines and high biofilm formation.Conclusions. Our study demonstrated for the first time the prevalence and the molecular characterization of P. aeruginosa strains from DFIs in Tunisia, showing a high genetic diversity, moderate antimicrobial resistance, but a high number of virulence-related traits, highlighting their pathological importance.

BACKGROUND: With the global challenge of antimicrobial resistance intensified during the COVID-19 pandemic, evaluating adverse events (AEs) post-antibiotic treatment for common infections is crucial. This study aims to examines the changes in incidence rates of AEs during the COVID-19 pandemic and predict AE risk following antibiotic prescriptions for common infections, considering their previous antibiotic exposure and other long-term clinical conditions. METHODS: With the approval of NHS England, we used OpenSAFELY platform and analysed electronic health records from patients aged 18-110, prescribed antibiotics for urinary tract infection (UTI), lower respiratory tract infections (LRTI), upper respiratory tract infections (URTI), sinusitis, otitis externa, and otitis media between January 2019 and June 2023. We evaluated the temporal trends in the incidence rate of AEs for each infection, analysing monthly changes over time. The survival probability of emergency AE hospitalisation was estimated in each COVID-19 period (period 1: 1 January 2019 to 25 March 2020, period 2: 26 March 2020 to 8 March 2021, period 3: 9 March 2021 to 30 June 2023) using the Kaplan-Meier approach. Prognostic models, using Cox proportional hazards regression, were developed and validated to predict AE risk within 30 days post-prescription using the records in Period 1. RESULTS: Out of 9.4 million patients who received antibiotics, 0.6% of UTI, 0.3% of URTI, and 0.5% of LRTI patients experienced AEs. UTI and LRTI patients demonstrated a higher risk of AEs, with a noted increase in AE incidence during the COVID-19 pandemic. Higher comorbidity and recent antibiotic use emerged as significant AE predictors. The developed models exhibited good calibration and discrimination, especially for UTIs and LRTIs, with a C-statistic above 0.70. CONCLUSIONS: The study reveals a variable incidence of AEs post-antibiotic treatment for common infections, with UTI and LRTI patients facing higher risks. AE risks varied between infections and COVID-19 periods. These findings underscore the necessity for cautious antibiotic prescribing and call for further exploration into the intricate dynamics between antibiotic use, AEs, and the pandemic.

INTRODUCTION: The rapid proliferation of technology and its impact on adolescents' lives have raised concerns about addictive behaviors and its potential consequences, including behavioral and mental health problems. This study investigates the prevalence and risk factors associated with the co-occurrence of Problematic Facebook Use and Problematic Video game Use among Tunisian adolescents. METHODOLOGY: We conducted a cross-sectional study in the urban area of Sousse governorate in Tunisia during the 2018/2019 school year. We selected a representative sample of high school students enrolled in public educational institutions in Sousse. Data collection was performed through a self-administered structured questionnaire, which gathered information on sociodemographic characteristics, lifestyle behaviors, and mental health disorders. Problematic Facebook Use was assessed using the validated Arabic version of the Bergen Scale, while Problematic Video Game Use was measured using the 21-point Lemmens Scale, which was translated into Arabic. Statistical analysis was carried out using the SPSS program (version 20). RESULTS: We enrolled a total of 1342 high school students in our study, of whom, 63.2% were female with a mean age of 17.5 ± 1.44 years. The prevalence of Problematic Facebook Use and Problematic Video Game Use was  28.3% and  13% respectively. Regarding the co-occurrence of the two problematic behaviors, 31.3% of participants faced a singular addictive behavior, either related to problematic Facebook or video game use, while 5% had both addictive behaviors simultaneously. In a multivariate analysis, risk factors for the co-occurrence of Problematic Facebook and Video Game Use, in decreasing order of significance, included severe depression (AOR = 4.527; p = 0.003), anxiety (AOR = 4.216; p = 0.001), male gender (AOR = 4.130; p < 0.001), problematic internet use (AOR = 3.477; p = 0.006), as well as moderate depression (AOR = 3.048; p = 0.007). CONCLUSION: Our study found that Problematic Facebook and Video Game Use were prevalent among Tunisian adolescents. The co-occurrence of these disorders is strongly linked to male gender, problematic internet use, depression, and anxiety disorders. These findings underscore the urgency of implementing tailored and effective awareness and prevention programs to address these emerging challenges.

Background & Aims: Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a growing epidemic and a risk factor for the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study investigated the long-term outcomes of liver resection (LR) for HCC in patients with MS. Rates, timing, patterns, and treatment of recurrences were investigated, and cancer-specific survivals were assessed. Methods: Between 2001 and 2021, data from 24 clinical centers were collected. Overall survival (OS), recurrence-free survival (RFS), and cancer-specific survival were analyzed as well as recurrence patterns and treatment. The analysis was conducted using a competing-risk framework. The trajectory of the risk of recurrence over time was applied to a competing risk analysis. For post-recurrence survival, death resulting from tumor progression was the primary endpoint, whereas deaths with recurrence relating to other causes were considered as competing events. Results: In total, 813 patients were included in the study. Median OS was 81.4 months (range 28.1-157.0 months), and recurrence occurred in 48.3% of patients, with a median RFS of 39.8 months (range 15.7-174.7 months). Cause-specific hazard of recurrence showed a first peak 6 months (0.027), and a second peak 24 months (0.021) after surgery. The later the recurrence, the higher the chance of receiving curative intent approaches (p = 0.001). Size >5 cm, multiple tumors, microvascular invasion, and cirrhosis were independent predictors of recurrence showing a cause-specific hazard over time. RFS was associated with death for recurrence (hazard ratio: 0.985, 95% CI: 0.977-0.995; p = 0.002). Conclusions: Patients with MS undergoing LR for HCC have good long-term survival. Recurrence occurs in 48% of patients with a double-peak incidence and time-specific hazards depending on tumor-related factors and underlying disease. The timing of recurrence significantly impacts survival. Surveillance after resection should be adjusted over time depending on risk factors. Impact and implications: Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a growing epidemic and a significant risk factor for the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The present study demonstrated that patients who undergo surgical resection for HCC on MS have a good long-term survival and that recurrence occurs in almost half of the cases with a double peak incidence and time-specific hazards depending on tumor-related factors and underlying liver disease. Also, the timing of recurrence significantly impacts survival. Clinicians should therefore adjust follow-up after surgery accordingly, considering timing of recurrence and specific risk factors. Also, the results of the present study might help design future trials on the use of adjuvant therapy following resection.

Chitosan, a biopolymer obtained from chitin, is known for its remarkable adsorption abilities for dyes, drugs, and fats, and its diverse array of antibacterial characteristics. This study explores the extraction and characterization of chitosan from the mycelium of Amanita phalloides. The moisture content, ash content, water binding capacity, fat binding capacity, and degree of deacetylation of the extracted chitosan were determined. The chitosan exhibited a high yield of 70%, crystallinity of 49.07%, a degree of deacetylation of 86%, and potent antimicrobial properties against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. The study also examined the adsorption capabilities of chitosan to remove methylene blue (MB) dye by analysing specific factors like pH, reaction time, and MB concentration using the response surface model. The highest degree of MB dye removal was 91.6% at a pH of 6, a reaction time of around 60 min and an initial dye concentration of 16 ppm. This experimental design can be applied for chitosan adsorption of other organic compounds such as dyes, proteins, drugs, and fats.

Fish fillets are highly susceptible to spoilage, with Pseudomonas spp. bacteria being among the main culprits. To maintain products' quality and safety, it is important to control the load of these microorganisms and understand their growth potential in fish fillets. However, setting up challenge tests might be hard due to the difficulty of differentiating intentionally inoculated bacteria from those already present on the fillets. To overcome this obstacle, a pilot study using Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a clinically significant bacterial species that is rare in food, was conducted. Vacuum-packed Northern cod, salmon, and plaice fish fillets were experimentally inoculated and subjected to trials at both refrigeration (4 °C) and thermal abuse temperatures (from +4 °C to +6 °C and then to +8 °C). The results showed that the growth potential of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in all the fish fillets was less than 0.5 Log10 CFU/g. This confirms that vacuum packaging could reduce the multiplication of Pseudomonas spp. in the fish fillets and underlines as it is crucial to have fish fillets containing initial loads of Pseudomonas between 104-105 CFU/g or lower at the beginning of the shelf life in order to control the deterioration rate of the product. This study provides a basis for developing further challenge tests for Pseudomonas spp. in the fish industry and highlights the importance of controlling initial loads of Pseudomonas to prevent product deterioration during the shelf life.

Periprocedural stroke after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) remains a significant issue, which is associated with high morbidity, and is increasingly important as intervention shifts to younger and lower-risk populations. Over the last decade of clinical experience with TAVI, the incidence of periprocedural stroke has stayed largely unchanged, although it is prone to underreporting due to variation in ascertainment methods. The aetiology of stroke in TAVI patients is multifactorial, and changing risk profiles, differing study populations, and frequent device iterations have made it difficult to discern consistent risk factors. The objective of this review is to analyse and clarify the contemporary published literature on the epidemiology and mechanisms of neurological events in TAVI patients and evaluate potential preventive measures. This summary aims to improve patient risk assessment and refine case selection for cerebral embolic protection devices, while also providing a foundation for designing future trials focused on stroke prevention.

Importance: Understanding the association between clinically defined relapses and radiological activity in multiple sclerosis (MS) is essential for patient treatment and therapeutic development. Objective: To investigate clinical events identified as relapses but not associated with new T2 lesions or gadolinium-enhanced T1 lesions on brain and spinal cord magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Design, Setting, and Participants: This multicenter observational cohort study was conducted between January 2015 and June 2023. Data were extracted on June 8, 2023, from the French MS registry. All clinical events reported as relapses in patients with relapsing-remitting MS were included if brain and spinal cord MRI was performed within 12 and 24 months before the event, respectively, and 50 days thereafter with gadolinium injection. Exposures: Events were classified as relapses with active MRI (RAM) if a new T2 lesion or gadolinium-enhanced T1 lesion appeared on brain or spinal cord MRI or as acute clinical events with stable MRI (ACES) otherwise. Main Outcomes and Measures: Factors associated with ACES were investigated; patients with ACES and RAM were compared regarding Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) course, relapse rate, confirmed disability accrual (CDA), relapse-associated worsening (RAW), progression independent of relapse activity (PIRA), and transition to secondary progressive (SP) MS, and ACES and RAM rates under each disease-modifying therapy (DMT) were estimated. Results: Among 31 885 clinical events, 637 in 608 patients (493 [77.4%] female; mean [SD] age, 35.8 [10.7] years) were included. ACES accounted for 166 (26.1%) events and were more likely in patients receiving highly effective DMTs, those with longer disease duration (odds ratio [OR], 1.04; 95% CI, 1.01-1.07), or those presenting with fatigue (OR, 2.14; 95% CI, 1.15-3.96). ACES were associated with significant EDSS score increases, lower than those found for RAM. Before the index event, patients with ACES experienced significantly higher rates of relapse (relative rate [RR], 1.21; 95% CI, 1.01-1.46), CDA (hazard ratio [HR], 1.54; 95% CI, 1.13-2.11), and RAW (HR, 1.72; 95% CI, 1.20-2.45). Patients with ACES were at significantly greater risk of SP transition (HR, 2.58; 95% CI, 1.02-6.51). Although RAM rate decreased with DMTs according to their expected efficacy, ACES rate was stable across DMTs. Conclusions and Relevance: The findings in this study introduce the concept of ACES in MS, which accounted for one-fourth of clinical events identified as relapses.

INTRODUCTION: This retrospective chart review aims to report a combined surgical approach of intraocular lens (IOL) fixation and gonioscopy-assisted transluminal trabeculotomy (GATT) for the treatment of subluxated IOLs and glaucoma or ocular hypertension. METHODS: Charts of patients who underwent IOL fixation combined with GATT between November 2019 and July 2023 were reviewed. The main outcome measure was surgical success, defined as a well-centered IOL and an IOP of 18 mmHg or lower and either a 30% IOP reduction or a reduction in medications as compared to baseline. Complications and the need for reoperation were recorded. RESULTS: Eleven patients who underwent GATT with IOL fixation were included. The mean age was 80.45 years (range: 73-90). IOL subluxation was associated with pseudoexfoliation in all cases. Seven patients underwent scleral fixation, and four underwent iris fixation. The mean follow-up was 15.36 (range: 2.7-26.6) months. The success rate was 72.73%. The mean baseline IOP was 20.63 ± 6.56 mmHg on 2.81 ± 1.53 medications. Four patients were on oral carbonic-anhydrase inhibitor (CAI) before surgery. The mean IOP at the end of the follow-up was 13.86 ± 3.5 mmHg on 1.36 ± 1.57 medications, and none were on oral CAIs. No intraoperative complications occurred, and transient hyphema and vitreous hemorrhage were the most common postoperative complications. All patients had a well-centered IOL. No patients needed additional surgery for IOL position or IOP control. The mean corrected distance visual acuity was 0.634 ± 0.62 logMAR at baseline and 0.36 ± 0.38 at the end of follow-up. CONCLUSIONS: GATT can be combined with IOL fixation to the sclera or iris to effectively reduce IOP and medication usage.

Rust diseases, including leaf rust, stripe/yellow rust, and stem rust, significantly impact wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) yields, causing substantial economic losses every year. Breeding and deployment of cultivars with genetic resistance is the most effective and sustainable approach to control these diseases. The genetic toolkit for wheat breeders to select for rust resistance has rapidly expanded with a multitude of genetic loci identified using the latest advances in genomics, mapping and cloning strategies. The goal of this review was to establish a wheat genome atlas that provides a comprehensive summary of reported loci associated with rust resistance. Our atlas provides a summary of mapped quantitative trait loci (QTL) and characterised genes for the three rusts from 170 publications over the past two decades. A total of 920 QTL or resistance genes were positioned across the 21 chromosomes of wheat based on the latest wheat reference genome (IWGSC RefSeq v2.1). Interestingly, 26 genomic regions contained multiple rust loci suggesting they could have pleiotropic effects on two or more rust diseases. We discuss a range of strategies to exploit this wealth of genetic information to efficiently utilise sources of resistance, including genomic information to stack desirable and multiple QTL to develop wheat cultivars with enhanced resistance to rust disease.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: The association of water loading with several infections remains unclear. Observational studies are hard to investigate definitively due to potential confounders. In this study, we employed Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to assess the association between genetically predicted whole body water mass (BWM) and several infections. METHODS: BWM levels were predicted among 331,315 Europeans in UK Biobank using 418 SNPs associated with BWM. For outcomes, we used genome-wide association data from the UK Biobank and FinnGen consortium, including sepsis, pneumonia, intestinal infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs) and skin and soft tissue infections (SSTIs). Inverse-variance weighted MR analyses as well as a series of sensitivity analyses were conducted. RESULTS: Genetic prediction of BWM is associated with an increased risk of sepsis (OR 1.34; 95% CI 1.19 to 1.51; P = 1.57 × 10- 6), pneumonia (OR: 1.17; 95% CI 1.08 to 1.29; P = 3.53 × 10- 4), UTIs (OR: 1.26; 95% CI 1.16 to 1.37; P = 6.29 × 10- 8), and SSTIs (OR: 1.57; 95% CI 1.25 to 1.96; P = 7.35 × 10- 5). In the sepsis and pneumonia subgroup analyses, the relationship between BWM and infection was observed in bacterial but not in viral infections. Suggestive evidence suggests that BWM has an effect on viral intestinal infections (OR: 0.86; 95% CI 0.75 to 0.99; P = 0.03). There is limited evidence of an association between BWM levels and bacteria intestinal infections, and genitourinary tract infection (GUI) in pregnancy. In addition, MR analyses supported the risk of BWM for several edematous diseases. However, multivariable MR analysis shows that the associations of BWM with sepsis, pneumonia, UTIs and SSTIs remains unaffected when accounting for these traits. CONCLUSIONS: In this study, the causal relationship between BWM and infectious diseases was systematically investigated. Further prospective studies are necessary to validate these findings.

BACKGROUND: Various methods are used to identify the causative organisms of acute gastroenteritis (AGE) in children. The gastrointestinal (GI) panel has the potential to detect up to 22 pathogens rapidly through the multiplex real-time PCR test. We studied the impact of the GI panel on clinical management in the pediatric population. METHODS: A retrospective study was conducted to collect data on GI panel results and clinical details of inpatient children presenting with AGE at King Hamad University Hospital, Kingdom of Bahrain, over the course of one year. RESULTS: One hundred nine samples were collected. The GI panel was positive in 96 samples (88.1%), with the majority detected in the toddler age group. Forty-one (42.7%) samples were positive for at least one organism. Salmonella was the most frequently encountered bacteria as a single isolate, 10/55 (18.2%), while enteropathogenic Escherichia coli was the most common co-infected organism, 16/41 (39%). Norovirus was the most common virus among the viruses. Bacterial detection peaked from July to October, while viral detection plateaued throughout the year. The GI panel and stool culture were positive for the same organism in 17 samples, versus one sample with a different organism. Sixty-two (56.9%) samples had a positive GI panel but negative stool cultures and stool analysis, and half of those detected viruses. The GI panel was positive in 86.2% of severely ill patients; the majority were bacteria. Bacterial detection was associated with a higher CRP compared to viruses. CONCLUSION: The GI panel is an informative tool for detecting the causative pathogen of AGE in children. However, it can detect multiple organisms, indicating a possible carrier status, which points toward future studies.

A 74-year-old man presented with symptoms and noninvasive diagnostic studies suggestive of myocardial infarction. Coronary angiography revealed total occlusion of the distal right coronary artery with a unique accessory coronary ring that provided retrograde collateral flow to the left ventricle, demonstrating the importance of considering non-native vessels when identifying target lesions.

BACKGROUND: Children of immigrants often have excess mortality rates, in contrast to the low mortality typically exhibited by their parents' generation. However, prior research has studied children of immigrants who were selected into migration, thereby rendering it difficult to isolate the intergenerational impact of migration on adult mortality. METHODS: We use semi-parametric survival analysis to carry out a total population cohort study estimating all-cause and cause-specific mortality among all adult men and women from age 17 among all men and women born in 1953-1972 and resident in Finland in 1970-2020. We compare children of forced migrants from ceded Karelia-an area of Finland that was ceded to Russia during the Second World War-with the children of parents born in present-day Finland. RESULTS: Children with two parents who were forced migrants have higher mortality than children with two parents born in Northern, Southern and Western Finland, but similar or lower mortality than the subpopulation of children whose parents were born in the more comparable areas of Eastern Finland. For women and men, a mortality advantage is largest for external causes and persists after controlling for socio-economic factors. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that forced migration can have a beneficial impact on the mortality of later generations, at least in the case where forced migrants are able to move to contextually similar locations that offer opportunities for rapid integration and social mobility. The findings also highlight the importance of making appropriate comparisons when evaluating the impact of forced migration.

High-entropy nanomaterials exhibit exceptional mechanical, physical, and chemical properties, finding applications in many industries. Peroxidases are metalloenzymes that accelerate the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. This study uses the high-entropy approach to generate multimetal oxide-based nanozymes with peroxidase-like activity and explores their application as sensors in ex vivo bioassays. A library of 81 materials was produced using a coprecipitation method for rapid synthesis of up to 100 variants in a single plate. The A and B sites of the magnetite structure, (AA')(BB'B'')2O4, were substituted with up to six different cations (Cu/Fe/Zn/Mg/Mn/Cr). Increasing the compositional complexity improved the catalytic performance; however, substitutions of single elements also caused drastic reductions in the peroxidase-like activity. A generalized linear model was developed describing the relationship between material composition and catalytic activity. Binary interactions between elements that acted synergistically or antagonistically were identified, and a single parameter, the mean interaction effect, was observed to correlate highly with catalytic activity, providing a valuable tool for the design of high-entropy-inspired nanozymes.
