RESUMO

The authors have developed and clinically used an aspiration bioptic probe with original constructions of capsules which may sample a biopsy specimen and intestinal juice during one probing. This allows an investigator to obtain important data on small intestinal morphology and performance, to gain an insight into the nature of intestinal disease. The probe reduces the time of a patient's examination and helps treatment to be performed correctly.

RESUMO

The results from examination of intestinal microflora and immune status in 75 patients with nonspecific ulcerative colitis with different degree of disease seriousness are presented. The deviations in the composition of normal microflora were primarily expressed in a decrease of the number of bifidobacteria. In 64.9% of patients the disease proceeded against the background of deficit of T-cellular immunity link. The sufficiently expressed bacteriological and immunological efficiency of complex therapy including preparation from spore-forming bacteria as a normalizer of microflora is shown.

RESUMO

The authors developed a method of complex treatment of patients with reflux esophagitis consisting in introduction via a probe of cooled 0.25% collargol solution and rose oil after intake of dimetpramide and simultaneous electrostimulation of the lower third of the esophagus. This method of treatment allows to control rapidly the pain syndrome, enhance treatment time and prolonged remission to 24 hours and more.

RESUMO

Enterodes and splenin were used in the treatment of patients with ulcerative colitis (idiopathic proctocolitis) in association with routine drug treatment while steroids were not employed. Results indicate increase of the therapeutic effect due to improvement of regeneration of the intestine and improvement of the immunity status.

RESUMO

pH-metry carried out in 210 patients with gastroduodenal diseases has diagnosed reflux as the underlying condition in 48 and as a concomitant disease in 75 cases. The degrees of gastroesophageal reflux severity were distinguished; this helped plan differentiated therapeutic schemes for these patients. Trials of these therapeutic schemes promise a higher efficacy of the therapeutic measures for gastroesophageal reflux.

RESUMO

The authors have developed a method for measuring the blood loss with feces using an available and inexpensive reagent--methyl-4-aminophenol sulphate (Metol). The diagnostic value of the method in ulcerative and hemorrhagic lesions of the alimentary tract is demonstrated, as well as its advantages over other techniques. The method helps choose a differentiated course of treatment with due regard for the hemorrhage severity.

RESUMO

Examination of 200 gastroenterological patients with a suspected chronic diffuse liver disease has demonstrated that only in 18.9% of the patients with chronic hepatitis, the disease was induced by the virus. Based on the experience gained with the treatment of 7 patients with chronic hepatitis B it is concluded that sanitation may be performed with levamisole. However, the data obtained in the course of the 5-year observation over sanitation of HBsAg carriers (25 subjects) do not provide any convincing evidence in favour of levamisole sanitation. The authors hold that at the blood transfusion stations the prophylaxis of serum hepatitis falls short of ideal. Selection of the donors according to CCIE does not give any guarantee against the viral hepatitis B carrier state. Like patients with viral hepatitis B, the HBsAg carriers badly need active prophylactic-and-treatment medical examination with the use of the antiviral agents.
