RESUMO

Scientific research and their inclusion in the health care system is an important part of modern medical science. To study the readiness of primary care physicians as well as administration staff to introduce a research component into the national health care system, "The Research Institute for Healthcare Organization and Medical Management of Moscow Healthcare Department" conducted an online survey of two groups of respondents - physicians of primary care settings (n = 593) and heads of outpatient clinics in Moscow (n = 168) in 2021. The results of the study show the insufficient involvement of primary care doctors in research activities in their working places: more than half do not consider scientific activities as a priority, motivating it by the lack of conditions, practical skills, age and health status as well as high level of employment, although they do not reject it in the future. Heads of Moscow primary health care settings demonstrate similar answers. According to their opinion, research activities are poorly represented in organizations of this type, and most likely the situation will not be changed in the near future; about half do not have sufficient information about the number of employees engaged in scientific work and are rarely familiar with their topics (often extensive, represented by various fields of medicine); about one third of managers reported participating in research projects of Moscow City Department of Health. The study made it possible to identify barriers that prevent the introduction of research components into the activities of Moscow primary health care organizations, which should be taken into account when making managerial decisions.

RESUMO

At present, there is an understanding of the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on all spheres of society, both in our country and abroad. Objective of the research: to study the effect of self-isolation on the mental health of university students in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic; to identify the most vulnerable groups of students and the reasons of anxiety and stress. Materials and methods. The survey involved 872 students (68% - girls, 32% - boys) 1-4 years of bachelor's degree and 1-2 courses of master's degree at the age of 17-23 years old, enrolled in full-time education in three universities in Moscow. Results. The most vulnerable categories of students for mental health disorders, experiencing the highest level of anxiety and stress, are 3rd-4th year undergraduate and 1th year graduate students with an average level of academic performance. In this regard, the question arises about the need to develop and introduce programs into the educational process of universities to identify and provide psychological assistance and support to students who are acutely experiencing the consequences of the pandemic to maintain their psychological health.

RESUMO

The social well-being and health of citizens of all countries has been greatly tested during the pandemic of COVID-19. The situation has exacerbated many social problems. Older women found themselves in a particularly difficult situation, who experienced increased psychological burden, deteriorating health conditions, and social isolation. Even the family had not always proved to be a way of improving the status of women. All this has led to the need to examine the real problems, the objective and subjective factors affecting women's social well-being and the ways in which older women are better off.

RESUMO

The article considers the impact of digital media on mental health of children and the youth based on the analysis of studies of national and foreign researchers. On the one hand, the application of information technologies by children and the youth is related to requirements of actual reality that allows them to be active and independent in virtual space and contributes to development of special skills and abilities, exchange of knowledge and experience, broadens scope of interests. On the other hand, the information media establish conditions of high risk for health. The article presents the results of an empirical study, carried out in 2019 at the Balashov Institute of the Saratov State University. The questionnaire survey was applied to sampling of 386 respondents to identify the relationship between the amount of time spent online by young people and the feeling of loneliness. The study discovered that the higher is the user Internet activity that is not accompanied by sense of satisfaction, the higher is the level of frustration and loneliness. The problem areas are identified that make it difficult to ensure the effective safety of users and the timely identification of threats to their mental health: the shortage and fragmentation of scientific research; the ambiguity of opinions of expert community regarding the impact of digital technologies on the development of children and adolescents; the complexity of social control of online users due to their social demographic and sociocultural heterogeneity; the conflict of interests between providers, business structures, advertisers and other subjects of virtual reality and underage users; low level of internet literacy of parents and teachers. All these factors hinder the development of adequate technologies of early detection, prevention and support of victims of cyberaggression or cybercrimes.

RESUMO

The article considers domestic violence as a factor of derangement of social and mental health of family members. There is no open access to statistical indices of cases of domestic violence. The data of population mental health is rather conditional. There is no aggregated information on social health of citizens at all. The sociological study of families of the Belgorod region was carried out in January-March 2019. The collection of primary sociological data was done using the questionnaire survey. The respondents consisted of two groups: minors and adult family members. The study established that in children-victims of violent actions, recollections remain that negatively impact their social and mental health in the present and future. Most often there is not one type of violence but whole complex. The effect of domestic violence is deterioration not only of mental and social health of victims, but physical (psychosomatic) health too. There is co-dependency of social and mental health conditions of all family members involved into violence actions. In case of domestic violence related to the elderly and disabled ones their social and mental health is deteriorating much faster than in case of similar alterations of age-related or medical causes.
