[Functiono-morphologic characteristics of tissue basophils of the human skin based on electron microscopic data]. / Funktsional'no-morfologicheskie osobennosti tkanevykh bazofilov kozhi cheloveka po dannym élektronnoi mikroskopii.

A study is presented of the ultrastructure of tissue basophils evaluated by electron microscopy in patients with rheumatism and rheumatoid arthritis. Four types of cells were distinguished according to their functional activity and morphological manifestations. Qualitative analysis of the population of tissue basophils allows to establish a relationship with such characteristics of the clinical picture as activity of the inflammatory process primarily and to analyze in detail the role and significance of these cell forms in the process of formation of inflammatory changes in the connective tissue.
