RESUMO

A genetic statistical method for estimation of intraspecific diversity of cultivated plants with respect to morphological genes is proposed. The method may be used for estimation of probability distributions of morphological (marker) mutations with respect to the frequencies of their expression and for prediction of experimental parameter such as the total number of markers, the scale (duration) of the experiment that is necessary for detection of a given proportion of the total marker diversity of the species, etc. The method was tested on tomato Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. using data from the SolGenes Internet databank.

RESUMO

New versions are suggested to analyse marker and quantitative characters combinations. Possible modes of application of the algorithms developed for recombination analysis are discussed, including: 1) the estimation of crossing-over frequency between markers with incomplete penetrance, 2) the quantitative character variability account to analyse genetic interference, 3) search for genetic factors affecting a set of quantitative characters, 4) the evaluation of differences between male and female meiosis at the crossingover level etc.

RESUMO

A purified (Na+ + K+)-ATPase large subunit obtained from microsomes by water-alcohol extraction was incorporated into a bilayer lipid membrane. The protein formed in the membrane conductance channels which were sensitive to ouabain and selective for monovalent cations. ATP activated these channels in the presence of sodium and potassium ions. When sodium ions were eliminated ATP did not change the conductance of the modified membrane whereas p-nitrophenyl phosphate increased it. The (Na+ + K+)-ATPase large subunit incorporated into bilayer lipid membrane possessed an ATPase activity. The presence of a potential on the membrane was a necessary condition for the enzyme incorporated into a bilayer lipid membrane to show high ATPase activity. Increasing the potential above 100 mV resulted in the closing of conductance channels.
