RESUMO

The impact of surgical method on results of complex treatment in patients, suffering the osteosarcoma metachronous pulmonary metastases, was studied. The survival indices in 93 patients were analyzed, of them in 71, suffering osteosarcoma - with complex treatment, including surgical intervention of complete excision of all metastases (three-years survival 34.2%), and in 21 complex treatment with palliative radiation therapy (three-year survival 3.7%). Trustworthy impact on three-years survival indices was proved for such clinical factors, as the terms of the metastases occurrence (6 mo and lesser, and more, than 6 mo) and quantity of metastases (up to 5, 5 and more) present.

RESUMO

In thoracic department of the National Cancer Institute studied the effectiveness of dendritic cell autovaccine in the postoperative period in non-small-cell lung cancer patients. The results, showing good tolerance dendritic cell autovaccine. Shows the formation of the expressed antigen immune response after repeated injections dendritic cell autovaccine, as manifested after 4 revaccination. Results of survival patients non-small-cell lung cancer who received postoperative dendritic cell autovaccines demonstrate the high efficiency of the method and its applicability with a minimum of side effects. Further study of survival of patients non-small-cell lung cancer who received immunotherapy treatment, monitoring of compliance with the best mode of repeated injections.

RESUMO

Application of nonspecific active immunotherapy in the treatment of 59 radically operated patients with pulmonary cancer had permitted in brief period of time to restore quantitative and functional indexes of cellular link of immunity, had promoted noncomplicated course of postoperative period, the reduction of the postoperative complications frequency and improvement of late follow-up results of surgical treatment of the patients in the absence of metastases in regional lymphatic nodes.

RESUMO

Dibunol (butylhydroxytoluene) in 1-g capsules was given to lung cancer patients, 4 g for two days and 4 g for one day before surgery. The level of stress was evaluated by the blood levels of cortisole, by the daily urinary concentrations of 17-keto- and 17-ketogenic steroids, and by the blood levels medium-weight molecular peptides and toxic indices 1, 3, 5-7 days of postsurgery. The antistress action of the agent appeared as twofold decreased blood cortisol and urinary 17-KS and 17-KGS 1 day after surgery, returning to the baseline on day 3 (while there was no normalization even on day 7 if dibunol was not given), and as significantly declined intoxication indices.

RESUMO

Dibunol was administered 48 and 24 hours before the operation at a dose of 4 g using capsules of 1 g each, in lung cancer patients. Stress severity was judged from the blood content of hydrocortisone, 17-keto- and 17-ketogenic steroids in 24-h urine, the content of mid-molecular weight peptides and indicators of intoxication before the operation and at 1, 3 and 5-7 day following it. Stress-protective effect of dibunol was manifested by almost 2-fold reduction in the blood hydrocortisone, urine 17-KS and 17-KGS/24 h levels following the operation, and by return of these parameters to baseline level at day 3 (whilst without dibunal no normalization occurred even at day 5-7), as well as by an appreciable lowering of the parameters characterizing intoxication.
