RESUMO

The state of surface membrane of red blood cells and blood platelets, blood platelet adhesion to glass, red blood cell deformability, viscosity of the whole blood and plasma were studied in patients with coronary heart disease who had been subjected to blood gravitation surgery correction in the combined treatment. Normalization of all the parameters studied was recorded after inclusion of the methods of extracorporeal regulation of blood aggregation into the combined treatment. An attempt has been made to explain the mechanisms of gravitation surgery effect on the morphological and functional properties of blood cells and rheologic parameters.

RESUMO

Surface charge of the peripheral blood red cells was studied with the device for cellular phoresis in 36 schoolchildren suffering from chronic hepatitis and 20 healthy children. The surface charge was found regularly reduced when the disease exacerbated, this permitting a judgement on the activity of the hepatic process. The developed method for rapid diagnosis of chronic hepatitis is recommended to be used during the outpatient stage of examinations and for the assessment of membranotropic therapy efficacy.

RESUMO

Patients with angina pectoris, functional classes III-IV, were examined for changes in the rheological blood properties (red blood cell aggregation ratio, fluidity limit, apparent viscosity, electrophoretic mobility of red blood cells, fibrinogen, total plasma protein and ADP, induced platelet aggregation) under the effect of continuous plasmapheresis (PA). PA was established to produce a selective effect on the rheological blood properties depending on the initial level of its disorders. The most remarkable clinical effect was produced by PA in patients with initially high characteristics of hemorheology. The first PA session ameliorated hemorheology at the expense of the plasma component, reduced high platelet aggregation whereas the repeated sessions largely affected red blood cell function.

RESUMO

A study was made of changes in the content of natural antibodies (N-AB) to thrombin and alpha 2-macroglobulin in patients with angina pectoris under the influence of plasma perfusion. The content of N-AB being increased, plasma perfusion makes it possible to reduce their content to normal. Provided the content of N-AB is initially normal, plasma perfusion does not produce any changes in their level. In 78% of the patients, a beneficial clinical effect was attained, being more pronounced in initially high content of N-AB.

RESUMO

Red cell and platelet surface membranes, platelet adhesion to glass were examined in coronary patients treated among other treatment modalities with gravitation surgical correction of the blood. Scanning electron microscopy was used in the study. The studies revealed the minimal injurious effect of the extracorporeal contour on blood cells; a manifest improvement of cellular morphology and function was observed after a course of procedures. An attempt was made to assess the mechanism of gravitation surgery effect on blood cells.

RESUMO

Natural IgG and IgM antibodies to thrombin and alpha 2-macroglobulin were measured in donor and coronary patients' plasma by enzyme immunoassay. The patients were divided into 3 groups with various types of changes in antibody levels. Increased level of antithrombin antibodies appears to be related to additional production of antibodies in response to elevation of thrombin concentration in the blood stream or to shift of the synchronous process between free antibodies and thrombin, bound in immune complexes. Further studies will clarify the mechanism of these processes.

RESUMO

Antithrombotic effect of plasmapheresis and thrombocytapheresis, used as part of combined treatment in 12 patients with unstable medication-resistant angina pectoris of functional class 4, was assessed by means of coagulation tests and resonance thrombography. The incorporation of three sessions of apheresis, removing 90% of plasma and 30% of platelet population, into the conventional treatment schedule is shown to have an anticoagulant, thrombolytic and platelet hypersensitivity-controlling effect. It is directly related to the volume of removed plasma and platelets, allows control of prethrombotic conditions and paves the way for an adequate response to subsequent medication.

RESUMO

Peripheral blood erythrocytic functional disorders were studied in 31 patients with primary and secondary hematuric nephritides. A decrease in erythrocyte normal charge was noted in 90%, erythrocyte fragmentation in 43%. Reverse correlation was established between a degree of lowered peripheral blood erythrocyte charge and serum IgA concentration (R = -0.65 +/- 0.15). The role of the detected erythrocytic disorders in the mechanisms of hematuria, the involvement of local (renal) intravascular coagulation in the pathogenesis of hematuric nephritides were discussed.
